For six years Luna Dance has been a community and home for me, my nine year old son and my six year old daughter. At pickup, my daughter is joking and laughing with friends not wanting to leave. Nadeen and all the teachers inspire and invigorate their students--highlighting the importance of confidence and believing in themselves--all the while motivating them to do their best and achieve excellence. The choreography and range of technique is amazing. More importantly, the social emotional learning is very special - especially in dance. The recitals are so so well put together, with professional sound, lighting, costume, and choreography, which is surreal considering that it organizes hundreds of kids into so many back-to-back ~3 minute dances. Luna also feels like a space for inclusion whether the kids are rapidly advancing in skills and there to be with friends and have fun. My daughter has done 4 recitals, and I've done 8 (in the adult hip hop class). We've loved every minute and can't recommend it enough! read more

The strict no-refund policy is unreasonable. I registered my daughter for a class but identified a conflict before the session started and was denied a refund. Two years later, my daughter has not been able to use the credit. I requested a refund again but was told the only option was to donate the tuition to the studio... read more

Luna Dance Studio is wonderful because of the quality of the dances they teach, the warm and cheerful instructors and the lovely environment they've created. My daughter has been learning dance with Miss Nadeen for about a year. When we started, our daughter was very shy and I was worried that she would have a tough time adjusting to a drop-off class and I would have never thought that she would ever want to perform on stage in front of an audience. But she really wanted to learn ballet and hip hop and I am so glad we were able to join Miss Nadeen's classes. It helped to know that Miss Nadeen had been one of my son's favorite teachers in preschool and that she's an accomplished dancer. Nadeen has high expectations of her students and she helps her students meet those expectation by providing supportive and nurturing instruction. Miss Nadeen holds recitals at the end of each session and teaches the students excellent performance (and life) skills. My now 5 yo son has been dancing with Miss Nadeen since he was 2. She is sweet, fun, and caring with kids, and is a highly accomplished dancer herself. She expects a lot from her students and provides discipline and structure for them to succeed. The adult hip hop class at Luna Dance Studio is the most engaging and energizing dance class I've ever taken! Nadeen is a crazy talented dancer and choreographer and she's super positive and upbeat. She brings a ton of positive energy to every session and makes each week a class in both confidence and skill. Not to mention every session is a killer workout. An hour of straight cardio that works every muscle and still seems to fly by because of the fun choreography and overall energy in the class. Her adult classes are for all dance levels and Nadeen makes a point in every session to ensure that everyone in the class feels comfortable and confident no matter what skill level they're at (plus the choreography is approachable for any skill level and still challenging even as someone who's previously taken years of dance). I've taken the last three adult sessions with Nadeen (a mix of mainly hip hop and a little jazz) and they've all been fantastic! The choreography is always new and exciting and I leave class feeling more refreshed and energized than when I walked in every time. I would highly recommend Nadeen's classes to any new or experienced dancers looking for something both challenging and fun or anyone in need of some extra cardio during the week (that doesn't feel like cardio) and looking for a good time! read more

Three years ago when my daughter started taking dance from Miss Nadeen we had no idea how much we would get out of it. Nadeen is excellent at what she does. My daughter is always excited to attend her classes or camps. But more than that- Nadeen has helped build a wonderful community that we really feel a part of. I feel so lucky to have discovered Teacher Nadeen and Luna Dance for my daughter! This dance school is such a special place! We first met Nadeen a few months ago, when she was offering an after school dance class at my 5 year old daughter's school. My daughter (and I) instantly fell in love with her! Miss Nadeen teaches her class with the most incredible combination of structure and warmth. She sets extremely high expectations for her students and as a result, they rise to the occasion. Thanks to Nadeen, my daughter has discovered a potential she never knew she had. After Nadeen's March recital, I was so blown away from the level of dancing I saw in these young performers, that I pulled my daughter out of the other ballet school she was attending on the weekends, and enrolled her in several classes exclusively at Nadeen's Luna Dance Studio. Since my daughter started with Nadeen 5 months ago, she has made more progress than she made in 3 years at her previous dance school, and has developed a deep passion for dancing. Just today, after 2 classes in a row with Nadeen, she asked me if she can sign up for even more classes! I love that Nadeen does 3 recitals/a year because it gives her students an opportunity to gain performance skills and showcase their hard work multiple times a year. I have a background in dance, and have truly never had more fun watching a children's dance performance then when watching her recitals. In contrast to other dance schools that just teach children 'positions' and 'movements', Nadeen teaches children to dance from their heart. Her choreography is expressive and moving. Some of her choreography (danced by 4-7 years olds) is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes. Nadeen treats her young students as mature dancers, and they perform as such. (Oh, and Nadeen also teaches and adult class that is unbelieveably fun. It made me feel young again!) I could not recommend this dance school more highly.
