Not impressed. After 3 months my 3 year old charge quit taking classes here because she was never…read moreexcited about her ballet/tap class and would rather stay home and play. She typically LOVES taking classes (she still does tumbling and art/song classes and looks forward to them). Our ballet/tap classes were held in the studios across El Camino on Oak Grove. This facility is tired and not well maintained. The entire three months we attended class there, the one drinking fountain was broken. I got two different excuses when I told employees. Why not install a free standing water cooler? Each class of 10+ kids and their siblings and parents in the waiting room = a lot of thirsty people. Curiously the viewing window was just big enough for a few of us to compete for space to watch or take pictures. That makes no sense for a children's class- parents are ALWAYS going to want to watch and this set up is not conducive to that at all. There isn't adequate seating and many parents had to sit on the floor or stand for the entire class (that we cannot see). Ridiculous. The school's communication is lacking as well. During the second class they measured her for a costume for recital coming up in May, but didn't say a word to me. A parent that watched them measure and knew about the recital told me afterwards. I asked one of the employees that was there the following week and she said we needed to pay $50 for the costume they were going to get for her and that I should email her for details. Ummm...who are you? What is your email? Why didn't you email US about all of this as we enrolled online? Very sloppy.

Nadeen and all the teachers inspire and invigorate their students--highlighting the importance of confidence and believing in themselves--all the while motivating them to do their best and achieve excellence. The choreography and range of technique is amazing. More importantly, the social emotional learning is very special - especially in dance. The recitals are so so well put together, with professional sound, lighting, costume, and choreography, which is surreal considering that it organizes hundreds of kids into so many back-to-back ~3 minute dances. Luna also feels like a space for inclusion whether the kids are rapidly advancing in skills and there to be with friends and have fun. My daughter has done 4 recitals, and I've done 8 (in the adult hip hop class). We've loved every minute and can't recommend it enough!

I wanted to learn something new and meet people, and after four months of salsa classes, it's been a tremendous experience. The studio itself is cozy, welcoming, and has a nice, spacious wooden dance floor that makes learning comfortable and fun. The instructors are highly skilled, great communicators, and genuinely fun to learn from. Every class is engaging and well-paced, and there's always a few good laughs! I've also met a lot of friendly and encouraging classmates, which has made the studio feel like a real community. It's a very comfortable environment. I really appreciate how the classes are structured. We start with a quick icebreaker, move into learning a routine (often with shines), and end with social dancing. Rotating partners throughout class is a huge plus as it gives you experience dancing with different styles and skill levels and helps you grow faster. Beyond classes, the studio hosts fun events like weekly Saturday social dancing, with styles rotating throughout the month (for example, salsa on the second Saturday). I also attended their Winter Gala earlier this month and was blown away by the performances. It truly felt like watching a live episode of Dancing with the Stars. Okay, as far as I know, it's the only place that offers adult contemporary. Luckily, it's a great class. Adrienne Foley is a beautiful, relevant, and attentive instructor. I am thrilled to have found her class at Zohar. Kristine Elliott's ballet class was challenging and fun. Unfortunately, I'm usually unavailable during her classes. After Adrienne's class on Mondays, a group of flamencos wait to start their class. It's so great to have a studio nearby with several options of dance styles. The studio is down the long drive off of Middlefield and left, once you get to the parking lot. Parking can get hairy at 6pm (parents picking up their kiddos), but if the large lot fills up, there's plenty of street parking.

The ballet program is very organized and their art program provides such a creative and unique activities (Especially, their summer camp program is worth the money) as well. I've been keeping all of my daughter's art works since each of them is just absolutely precious. I drive from San Jose just so she can get the highest quality training and experience. I drop off my daughter at the art studio and pick her up at the ballet studio in 2 hours. My daughter was always excited to go there and came back with full of joy. I can tell the teachers there are true educators and wonderful artists. My daughter respects them and I can see how they care about their students and help them to foster love of art. Victoria simply let her sit there and observe. 3 years later, my daughter got her skills as well as her confidence from Victoria's ballet. She practices 3-4 times a week but never complains. In fact, inspired by her I started taking the adult class from Victoria this year and so far really enjoy it. I love the fact that she deeply cares about her students, kids or adults, and she wants to let everyone truly understand and appreciate the beauty of ballet. Michelle's energy is amazing: she is very active and nice, keeps on motivating us when we feel weak. She also makes sure everyone that needs modifications is instructed how to make those. The bathroom is stocked with everything one might need and the atmosphere is very cozy overall! Also easy to locate, park if needed, or walk from public transportation :)
