I asked him for the Scottish ice cream experience as today was my last day in Scotland. He told me about flavors that he had from different regions of Scotland, and the ice creams that have won prizes in Scotland. I went with his recommendation of lemon honey and it did not disappoint! I also ordered vanilla. It was a perfect combo. The ice cream tastes so good! I wish I had this shop close to my house! This place is awesome because it is owned and operated by Scottish locals. The shop also offers smaller Scottish treats. We purchased Scottish butter cookies to take home with us. This was the best ice cream shop. The ice cream was so fresh! The ice cream is creamy and just the right amount of sweet. Just luscious. You get a lot of ice cream for affordable prices. 1 scoop = £2.50, and the portion is massive. They offer even two or more flavors in one scoop. Next time I will try and get an "Affogato", a mix of coffee and ice cream. I learned that Affogato means drowning, so clearly the idea behind ice cream drowning in coffee :-) Also beware! As has been said previously, they have only two flavours at a time with the option to mix. When I was in the options were plain (which I think is a standard) and banana. I opted for the plain and splurged on an oreo topping. The yoghurt was very tasty without being overly sugary - big plus. The small serving was ENORMOUS as well as being pricey (£2.75, I think?). I would have much preferred a smaller portion with a smaller price. All in all it was ok but I probably won't find myself itching to return - my recommendation would be to advertise their flavour of the day on their website or Facebook page, and to create a smaller and more wallet friendly serving size.
