We had a wonderful dinner here. As we had eaten an early breakfast with relatives, we skipped lunch, and decided to have an early dinner. We wound up getting to the restaurant during their early bird. We were greeted warmly on entering. And by our server after we were seated. He brought us warm Italian bread with a container of very garlicky oil. And took our drink orders. My husband wanted some wine that they had but didn't offer by the glass. The server suggested a similar red blend which turned out to be perfect. After included salads (they also had two soup choices), we each had our entrees. The portions were huge. My husband had their spaghetti bolognese. The sauce was quite meaty. He really liked it. I had their crab ravioli. Large ravioli made of a light red pasta served in a lobster sauce with mushrooms, spinach, and whole baby shrimp. This was absolutely delicious. We both brought half our entrees home for a future dinner. Dessert was included. We had a choice of ice cream or key lime pie. We both had the pie. Very authentically tart. Prices were reasonable. Food was very good. Service was friendly. Who could ask for anything more?

A great Italian eatery on the North side of Commercial. Hot crispy crust bread with garlic butter is wonderful. I ordered the HH Spaghetti Bolognese which came with salad and dessert. Our server recommended a house blend red wine which paired well with my meal. Key Lime pie for dessert was tart and wonderful. The Ameretto is smooth and delicious. What a wonderful meal and a Great find, great service and delicious food!

Love this spot... was undecided food. This wasn't my first choice., but ended up coming here. Drinking a beer and eating some spaghetti. I preferred pizza. They said they haven't had pizza in over 20 years.

Came back to Zuckerello's, wanted to bring some friends. I made reservations because it gets very busy, specially with the snowbirds being here now. Parking is a little tight since you have another popular restaurant in the vicinity. We were taken to our table right away, waters were promptly brought followed by bread service with their amazing garlic spread. We ordered appetizers and entrees right away. Everything was delivered to our table at a very reasonable pace, we had plenty of time between appetizers and entrees. Service was very good despite how busy they were. I do recommend reservations. It is a large venue and it's a bit loud.

You know when you walk in on a Tuesday night and the place is busy, that this is a local favorite. There were plenty of senior citizens so it also signaled to me large portions, and good prices from the onset! Those seniors always know where to get the biggest bang for their buck! The friendly hostess sat us down and handed us the menus which are on tablets. I have a love/hate relationship with these things as I feel they are dirty but I love that the menu is easily updated and has colorful pictures of the food offerings. Our server, Ruthie, was over in a flash and was so friendly and personable, I wanted to pull out a chair and ask her to join us! My martini came out quickly, perfectly poured and while I sipped it I glanced around the room. There were many larger parties and clearly plenty of regulars as the servers were greeting people by name and knew their drink orders before they even sat down. We ordered simply- calamari to start and then veal Francese and chicken piccata. If I had a criticism it was that our appetizer and the entrees came out at the same time. We didn't want to send our entrees back but the timing could have been spaced better as we nibbled on our appetizer while we ate our dinner. My veal was good but the chicken was just okay. My friend commented that she had expected a light breading on the chicken and it came with none so if that is your expectation you may be disappointed. Or maybe order the chicken francese which is similar, just without the capers. The portions were big so there was enough to wrap up and take home for another full meal. There are plenty of Italian places in the area and Zuckerellos has been around for a long time so their large portions, friendly service and reasonable prices keep bringing people back!

Walk into Zuckerello's and you'll receive a warm welcome from the host. That good feeling doesn't end there as the waitstaff is just as congenial and the atmosphere is friendly. The food? Oh, it's excellent such as the Crab Ravioli with Baby shrimp, diced tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach & lobster sauce. Yummy! Zuckerello's honors their wall mural - Enter as friends. Leave as family. Book a table and see for yourself.

Food is excellent,Service is excellent the only draw back is it gets very crowded in Jan,Feb & March so you get rushed to finish and go.

We came here for our anniversary in October, and I couldn't believe he remembered us. He gave us a complimentary dessert and limoncello for my partner's birthday. I started with the grilled octopus and cannellini beans--always a risk if the kitchen doesn't know its way around a tentacle. Fortunately, LaFuga does. The octopus was tender, flavorful, and seasoned like it had just come back from a summer abroad. A great start. For entrées, I went with the shrimp over homemade pasta and the swordfish. Credit where it's due: the seafood is where LaFuga really shines. Both the shrimp and swordfish were cooked exactly right--moist, perfectly seasoned, and confidently plated. If the meal had ended there, this review might've turned into a standing ovation. But then... the pasta. And while the menu proudly labeled it "homemade," I'm not sure it was quite "ready to leave the house." It was noticeably hard--whether from undercooking or an identity crisis, who can say? Let's just say the texture was more "al dente... and then some." To be clear, nothing was bad--it just felt like two different kitchens made the dish, and only one of them had read the recipe. All in all, LaFuga is worth a visit for the seafood alone. If they can get the pasta to stop pretending it's auditioning for a role as a firm mattress, they'll really be onto something.

After all the hype and difficulty getting in, I was very curious to see if it would actually live up to expectations--and honestly, it did. First, the cons. The restaurant is tiny. Like...teeny tiny. There's basically no standing room when waiting to be seated or picking up an order, so everyone kind of awkwardly crowds near the front door while servers and bartenders are constantly weaving around you looking mildly annoyed that you exist there. Eventually, people started gathering near the opposite end of the bar by the bathrooms because there was at least a little more breathing room. Once seated, the atmosphere is very lively, loud, and fast-paced. Not necessarily a bad thing, but definitely not the place for a quiet intimate dinner. Our server also may have been having an off night because there was a bit of attitude mixed in throughout the meal. That said... the FOOD. Unreal. Absolutely worth the wait and reservation struggle. Everything we ordered was exceptional. The sweet long pepper, Savage Garden salad, and Bolognese pasta were all incredible. Then came the pizzas--the fresh tomato pizza ("upside down pie") especially was ridiculously good. The squash blossom and cold pulled burrata pizza was also delicious. To finish--because we weren't stuffed enough--the strawberry olive oil cake. A literal perfect ending to the meal. Despite a rough start, the food completely stole the show. Easily an 11/10 meal. Now I just need to survive trying to get another reservation for round two.

I had to do the veal bolognese which was very comforting and filling while my husband had a hearty sausage and kale panini that I found to be a little too heavy for my taste. I would definitely like to try more from their menu as there were a lot of things that caught my eye but couldn't fit in for this visit. I would try to find a less popular time, if that's even possible.

Most of the appetizers and salads are under $20 and most of the pastas and some entrees are under $30. I was shocked that one reviewer thought this was expensive. I say the food is Italian style because I'm Italian American and I travel frequently to Italy. It is not Italian food but it is what Americans think is Italian and it is fine, good, tasty comfort food. I like supporting well run family owned restaurants. These folks work so hard and it's impossible to please everyone. I read that the family traces their roots to Ferrara and Rome before moving to Venezuela and then to the US where they developed restaurant experience and adapted to the culture here. There's a small wine list with 8-9 wines by the glass at only $12-13 each and you can find many simple bottles under $50 with no vintages listed. Service is friendly and very accommodating.

The dining room was full on the night we were there and the ambiance is simple and a little rustic with the brick walls and beige tables. We started with the grilled octopus and the Italian rice balls stuffed with meat. I think we confused them as the rice balls come 2 to an order and there were three of us so we asked if we could buy an extra one. The first order came up with only 2 but instead of just leaving them and bringing another- they took the 2 away and then just brought one with out the other two. Clearly we screwed them up with our request. Eventually we ended up eating three but not at the same time. The octopus was delicious! For our entrees, I had the spaghetti alla vongole which was delicious and packed with clams. One of my dining companions had the lobster ravioli done spicy and and LOVED it as it came with shrimp on top and small tomatoes. My other dining companion had a special of the day which was a pumpkin ravioli. I think something got lost in the description of that item as he was expecting more of a fall dish but it came with a red sauce on it which he said was an odd combo. For dessert, I was stuffed, but one of my dining companions got the tiramisu for dessert which he said was quite good. All in all- the food was quite good, the drinks were well poured and we had plenty of food to take home for another night. Nice to have this local place in our neighborhood!
