    Boneless Lechon Plate
    Jacques I.

Skip Jollibee and eat at Zubuchon instead while waiting for your flight at the Cebu Airport. We were so happy to see a Zubuchon location here, since we instantly became fans of it while visiting Cebu. Zubuchon had a solid menu, with a good amount of different items with their signature roasted pig, bone-in or boneless. Bae and I both ordered the boneless plate, which came with a side of white rice and papaya salad. Meat was incredibly tender, going beyond airport standards. Plus, there was the crispy pig skin that ya gotta have with your lechon. Papaya salad with ginger was a good addition, providing a sour but complementary flavor to the roasted lechon. If only all airports could have food this good. Located in the domestic terminal, Zubuchon is a great eatery, giving you a taste of what Cebu has to offer! There were some dining tables and chairs right in front of the eatery, but it's communal dining with the other nearby eateries and shops. Zubuchon was the best way to say good-bye to Cebu.

A great introduction to Filipino food if you're just arriving in the Philippines and waiting for your connecting flight - otherwise, it's a great food option period while waiting at the airport. We got the Sisig and the boneless plate which was not in the least bit dry and had delicious, crispy skin.

This place is pretty good for airport food and at a great price! I was pretty hungry but I didn't have any idea what to get. Between Dunkin' Donuts and Tsim Sha Tsui is ZUBUCHON. They mostly have dishes with pork, but they also have a few chicken dishes. I tried the Roasted Chicken with rice and atchara. It is a quarter leg with atchara, which is like strings of ginger with some spiciness added. But it does a body good no doubt. It's ONLY 150 pisos!!!!!! I also tried the Roasted Chicken Sotanghon for 180 pisos. It's just chicken soup with veggies. But the simple dish is so delicious. The chicken here isn't injected with any hormones so I think it's some better tasting chicken that back home.

This Zubuchon is conveniently located right next to Mactan Marina Mall and across from Robinson's Supermarket. The restaurant is spacious, clean and charming with a red and white theme that perfectly matches their logo. They specialize in lechon and this was visibly noticeable in their menu that featured a variety of lechon dishes. From Lechon Kare Kare to Zubuchon Diniguan and Lechon Fried Rice, they had a lechon dish for everyone. We opted to get their famous Zubuchon (490 Philippine pesos) featuring roasted pig with crispy skin and tender meat, along with their Zubuchon pancit (260 Philippine Pesos) and medium rice (85 Philippine Pesos). The Zubuchon was the true star! The skin was perfectly crisp, and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The seasoning was spot on and I particularly enjoyed the hint of lemongrass and aromatic spices. I do wish there had been a bit more crispy skin, but overall I was a fan. Not to be outdone, the Zubuchon pancit was excellent. I enjoyed the long, silky noodles with pieces of Lechon mixed in. This noodle dish paired very well with the Zubuchon. It is easy to see why Anthony Bourdain loved Zubuchon and why so many folks dine here. Visiting Zubuchon was a great introduction to Cebu's famous lechon!

Service staff are a bit dry, no customer interaction. The restaurant dining area is large, but i also feel that the tables are too close to each other. I guess its to maximize customers. We on a weekday lunch time. Ordered the Rico's Spicy Lechon - 1/4 kilo, Chop Suey - the servers recommendation since Kangkong is not available and a Mango Shake. The lechon skin was not crispy at all and on top of that it was too salty. The meat was not juicy and was lacking flavor. The Chop Suey was loaded with vegetables, but the sauce is on the sweet side. Mango Juice was delicious! Overall experience was a failure. I guess my expectations was too high. Or maybe I'll go earlier next time, if there is a next time.

Alright... you're rolling through Cebu, Philippines... and your feed keeps screaming about this…read morespot. No white tablecloths. No reservations. Just smoke, sizzling oil, and a crowd that knows exactly what's up. So yeah... we had to pull up. This is Punko-Punko sa Fuente. Street food chaos--in the best possible way. Here's how it works. You walk up to this table stacked with a glorious, borderline dangerous pile of fried goodness. No menus. No fuss. You point at what you want. The person running the table grabs it, chops it into bite-sized pieces right in front of you, and hands it back like it's street gold. You grab some rice--wrapped in these heart-shaped woven coconut leaves--dip everything into that sharp, punchy vinegar sauce... and now you're eating the way Cebu wants you to eat. First up--Chicharon Bulaklak. Crispy. Chewy. Salty in all the right ways. This thing hits like a late-night food dream. 9.5 outta 10. Then the Liempo. Thin strips, but still thick enough to get that porky texture. Juicy. Perfectly seasoned. No nonsense. Solid 9 outta 10. Next--Lumpiang Shanghai. Golden. Crunchy. That crisp snap when you bite in? Yeah... it's there. Filling is rich, savory, comforting. 8.9. Then the Stuffed Crab. The filling? I love it. Crab's there, veggies are there. Maybe a little more veggie than I'd like--but hey, some people might swear by it. 7.7. But the sleeper hit? The egg with veggies. Hard-boiled egg wrapped in this veggie mixture and fried until the outside's got attitude. The combo just works. Unexpected. Bold. Delicious. 9.5 easy. This place? No frills. No filters. Just Cebu street food doing what it does best--big flavor, fast hands, and zero apologies. If you're ever in Cebu... do yourself a favor. Pull up a stool. Grab some vinegar. And get messy.

You'll find Pork, Chicken, Sausage, and Lumpia, all served crispy and paired with a signature vinegar dipping sauce that cuts right through the richness. The Vibe & Essentials It's a rustic, high-energy spot that can get quite crowded. Timing: It gets busy fast! Aim for off-peak hours to snag a seat without the wait. Hydration: They only serve Mountain Dew. If you aren't looking for a sugar rush, bring your own bottled water. Climate Control: It gets hot and humid. I highly recommend bringing a portable fan and a small towel to stay comfortable. The Verdict Is it a five-star luxury experience? No. Is it a delicious, authentic, and fun time? Absolutely. Despite the heat and the limited drink options, the food and the atmosphere make it a win. We'll definitely be back for another round!
