On the old world atmospheric Wehrgasse in Margareten is this old world Austro-Bohemian Gasthaus. It is well-known for the Viennese and Bohemian dishes it serves up (e.g. The Haluschka with topfen cheese). But one of the best things to do here is to enjoy a glass of Austrian wine and their delicious desert of Buchteln. These are warm from the oven Buchteln and served in a creamy vanilla sauce. It is one of Vienna's best deserts. My only negative is that I personally prefer my Buchteln with Powidl inside and that is not how they serve them here. Sitting outside in the Schanigarten is especially pleasant enjoying the ambience of Vienna as found on the quiet Wehrgasse. read more
