Paying $31 for a mini chili and half a veggie melt is hard to justify--especially when the portion feels no different than what used to be a regular sandwich. To make matters worse, the chili itself was mostly broth with very little actual chili, which was disappointing. What used to be a reliable spot now feels overpriced and underwhelming. Sadly, it's become a bit of a rip-off, and for the price, it's just not worth it anymore.

I was surprised that there was no line on a weekday during lunch time ~12:00, especially since other reviewers made mention of long wait times. I guess I was lucky. Anyway, since there was no line, I got my meal quickly. The soups are waiting in pots at the front, so the service is fast as they just need to scoop up your soup of choice. I got a small soup meal, so I was able to choose 2 sides from a collection of breads and fruits/veggies. I decided to go for the Moroccan Madness Vegetable Medley with sides of a multigrain ciabatta bun and apple. The soup was good, definitely fresh, flavourful, and better than your average canned soup, but I wasn't blown away. Plus, the meal was kind of pricey for what I got. For these reasons I only rated them as 3 stars. However, I'm really only basing my review on one out of many different soup options. Maybe some of the other flavours are better. I would go back to try a different soup.

Starting from the beginning- when you walk inside this unassuming restaurant on Queen West you're immediately struck with the warm, comfortable- almost familiar feeling you get. You're greeted by friendly staff who are all too happy to serve you up anything from their selection of flavourful menu items... For me- because I am vegetarian, I like to order the "oven roasted veggies wrap". As the name implies, Ravi is big on soups... so you're going to be tempted to pair that wrap or other item with a soup. I know that's what I did my first visit to Ravi's. If you do, make sure you've brought your appetite because it's going to be a lot of food. Ravi's wraps are generous. They're big! And they're filled with deliciously roasted things - like veggies! I can barely finish my wrap, but I did. Show Ravi's Soups some love and appreciation by checking them out. You'll be glad you did.

My go to is always the Ravis Stew and the Curried Lamb Wrap. Best combo ever and I can't finish it so I always get to take some home. It tastes just as amazing the next day!
