    Granola parfait
    I-Lin L.

Grabbed breakfast to go from here while on a work trip in Toronto. The granola parfait for $3.89 was sweet but tasty. And a very reasonably priced breakfast compared to getting something at Starbuck's. So I came back here on a subsequent work trip to get breakfast again, but I wanted something dairy- and gluten-free, so I got the quinoa fruit bowl for $4.19 and a fruit cup for $6.19. The quinoa tasted funny. I didn't quite like the mix of fruit and mint and honey and lime juice. Don't think I would be getting that again. The fruit salad was fine. Kind of pricy, but it was a fairly large portion.

Have been going to this Soup Nutsy location at least 3 times a week ever since moved back DT. So far I have tried Mexicali chicken, mulligatawny, Tex-mex turkey beef Chili (my fav!), Texas bean medley. I love the fact that every day has different menu and you can see the soups before ordering, because personally I don't like creamy based soup or plain soups such old fashion chicken noodle. I prefer Chili, tomato, beans based soup. Also, they have nutrition facts for every soup on the website, where I can see and calculate the macros I'm consuming. The service is always great every time I'm there. The soup has not disappoint me so far. Looking forward to try more varieties!

    Sandwich Soup Combo!

If you work in the Finical District, I am 100% sure you have seen HUGE lineups outside this place call Soup Nutsy. This soup fast food chain is only available in downtown and they are scattered around all the Financial District food courts. All the Soup Nutsy serve the same type of soup with different daily soup specials, but whoever decided to introduce Wrap/Sandwich Soup combo was a GENIUS! This place previously only serves Soups and one medium soup that comes with two sides (bread, veggies or fruits) will cost you around $10. Their NEW Wrap/Sandwich Combo with a combo size soup (one size smaller than small) is also around $10 and you can always upsize the soup to the next size for $1 per size higher. Doing the math, I strongly think the Wrap/Sandwich Soup combo is more worth it! Their soup has always been good and I was surprised how good their wraps and sandwiches are also. I personally prefer the Wrap especially the Mediterranean Lobster Wrap over their sandwiches because the breads they use are HARD. Combo the wrap with a small Lobster Bisque, Jamaican Crab Bisque, Clam Chowder or Cream of Mushroom and you have yourself a legit meal in downtown core for around $10. If you want to skip the line AND be able to choose whatever sandwiches/wraps and soup you want, make sure you are here around 1145am. With all the overpriced healthy food or the greasy/fatty Greek and Chinese food within the PATH, 2 meals a week from Soup Nutsy could be a very decent option.

First time here and on an excruciatingly hot day, my buddy decided to have lunch here. I ordered the Jamaican crab bisque which was very delicious! Initially, I was hesitant trying this because most crab soup would have the imitation crab meat (white fish), but not here! There's celery in the soup, but you can barely taste their flavour (I'm not a celery fan). Thank goodness for both perks! The service was great, I have no complaints here either. The servers also allow you taste the different types of soup they have that day in a mini-cup. Upon purchasing, there is an open caf area where you can enjoy the meal. For a small seafood soup plus any 2 sides (apple, banana, orange, celery/carrots, or buns), the lunch cost less than $10 which is quite rare, especially around the financial district. Overall, great experience!

I love how this place plays off the Seinfeld episode of the Soup Nazi - if you were wondering which episode like me its season 7 episode 6. There was even a photo of the Soup Nazi himself which was autographed. There was lots of different flavours to choose from but once I read out the flavour which was right in front of me I was sold. Jamaican crab bisque. Medium was $9 and change and the size was pretty decent. The soup itself was a perfect texture, not too thick and not too watery. Nice amount of crab meat. Packed with all kinds of flavours. When I took the first sip I was just overwhelmed with how many different flavours I could taste. Salty, peppery, a hint of curry I think. After each spoonful I enjoyed it more and more. Probably one of the best soups that I can remember. Just a bit on the pricy side though.

There were barely any walnuts, and despite paying for extra cranberries, there were hardly any included. The kale made up most of the salads, yet it was tough & difficult to chew. Most importantly, these salads were by no means worth the price. For what was charged, I expected fresh ingredients and a reasonable balance of toppings. Instead, I received bowls that were mostly kale and quinoa, with the premium ingredients largely absent. What turned a disappointing meal into a terrible experience was the complete lack of accountability afterward. When I contacted Mandy's, I was directed to Uber Eats. Unfortunately, dealing with Uber Eats customer support was even more frustrating than receiving the food itself. The support process felt automated, impersonal, and entirely focused on closing the complaint rather than addressing the issue. Despite providing details about the poor quality of the food, my concerns were not taken seriously and no meaningful resolution was offered. Customers order through delivery platforms expecting some level of protection when food arrives in unacceptable condition. In this case, neither the restaurant nor Uber Eats seemed willing to take responsibility. Poor food quality is one thing; poor customer service from both companies makes the experience far worse. I won't be ordering from Mandy's again, and this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in Uber Eats as well.

If you are aiming for healthy eats, then this is the place to hit up. Its in the downtown core and is accessible. They also offer a killer Portuguese Tart to wrap up a meal! CONs Unfortunately, this is where it goes off the rails a bit. Some of the cons to the location is that the price point isn't in line with other similar locations in the area. I get more salad/rice bowls from Salus just up the street for $5 cheaper. There is no differentiator between the two on this level. I think its reflected in the customer presence as well as I've rarely seen the location filled at lunch. I would say the return for a $20 rice bowl, the amount of rice and protein provided was concerning and miniscule in comparison to competitors in the area. The last con I have is that the location doesn't operate in cash which may be uncommon these days, but it can be annoying to those who do and don't have alternative ways of paying. The food is fine, but comparable and cheaper options are available nearby. I have no compelling reason to return here and that is one of the issues I face when I think about this location. Give the public something different or at a more competitive price to succeed.

I've actually had Brasa previously many years ago for a Yelp event but this time I decided to stop by the Queen St. location to grab dinner. Their menu boasts unique flavours where ingredients are fresh and nutritious. I decided to order a bowl from their phone app where my order was made in about 15 min. Upon arriving at Brasa, the space is accessible where the cashier/food counter area is to your right. On the left there is bar seating where you could enjoy your items there. I mentioned to staff that I was there to pick up my food where it was already made. In terms of food, I ordered the tuna ceviche bowl (Organic tricolour Peruvian quinoa, marinated tuna, avocado and sweet potato blossoms, two types of Peruvian corn, finely sliced red onion) which cost around $17. I had the bowl for dinner and it felt super healthy with the quinoa, avocado, and tuna! The ingredients tasted great together and the crunchy corn added a crunchy textural element to the bowl. Overall, a healthy alternative in the Queen/University area!

They had so many variations of these bowls and lots of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. The service via Uber Eats was quick and had no issues with that. I hope the rest of their bowls are good and I just got a one off not pleasant one. I don't think I would be ordering again from this place. 5/10 recommend!
