We had a taco salad that included, tomatoes, lettuce and chicken bones. Bad start to the summer.

The cashier didn't know how to make the drink, the wings were soggy, and it was all very very overpriced for a bar.

Our family spends a week at a cabin near Detroit Lakes, and we've made it an annual tradition to eat here at least once each year.

If you like simple food done well - this is an awesome place. Such a cool and unique venue in an…read moreold church. They really buy into it and have church themed menus/drinks/ and decor. Love it! Our table did a mashup of everything - wings, burgers, pizza, and even a grilled cheese. Again - all simple, but all tasty. I'd call this place Perham's top wing/pizza place in town. I split the grilled cheese and then had the buffalo wings. The buffalo sauce was on point from a flavor a heat perspective. And the homemade ranch - heck yeah! Perfect combo! Well done 1894 - we will be back! (PS - we recommend getting some cool signage outside for us out-of-towners)

My son ordered the Belltower Burger which was bacon, mushroom, cheese and sauce which was like a strogenoff sauce. I mopped some of my slider in it. We also shared the cheese curds as a side for $5. We were charged $1.50 for ranch, even though it was free with order of curds as an app. Also ordered Busch Non Alcohol beer for $5.00. It was really nice inside as this was an older church in its past life. The Burgers are 1/2 # and I enjoyed a bite of my son's burger. The burgers are fresh and not frozen and worth ordering. I did suggest hot honey with the cheese curds and turn the peanut butter grilled cheese and bacon sandwich into a burger. I'd return again.

Stopped in at New York Mills newest "brew pub" Continental Divide on a Saturday afternoon…read more Traditionally speaking a brew pub is an establishment that brews their own beer and serves food made in house. This place doesn't actually brew their own beer which was a bit of a bummer. It is actually what I would call a taphouse. Nevertheless they have an insanely good tap beer list. There are many styles of beer to choose from sure to please any palate. They also offer craft cocktails on tap. The decor is beautiful. A very open, inviting, and comfortable space. There are a handful of tables in the front as you walk in and a bar in the back with an exposed kitchen beyond that. We ordered wings, nachos, and pizza. Wings were cooked nicely and the sauce was flavorful but not quite as described. Nachos had a beautiful presentation but were cold. Pizza was OUTSTANDING. This place is super new and has a good base going. I fully expect them ironing out some of the issues with the food. Staff were all very fun and friendly. Didn't have to wait to order food or drinks. I would absolutely visit this spot again as well as recommend

The poutine was SO tasty - it was unlike anything I've ever had, with such a fun Italian twist! The pizza dough was fluffy and delicious, and though the white sauce was a little heavy, it was still quite good. The service was excellent, our food arrived quickly and it was reasonably priced. This is a great small town find!

Rocky's caught my eye, and I'm glad it did. From the outside it's an unassuming place, but once you step in you're greeted with that old-school small-town charm that's getting harder to find. Think comfortable booths, classic décor, and the kind of atmosphere that feels like it's been bringing people together for years. The hospitality was outstanding. It seemed like every person who walked through the door was either greeted by name or welcomed like they had been coming there forever. You could tell this wasn't just a restaurant, it was part of the community. The menu is packed with comfort food. Along with burgers, sandwiches, baskets, and hearty entrées, they offer a great lineup of specialty pizzas, build-your-own options, fresh salads, and a smorgasbord of appetizers from cheese curds and onion rings to wings, mozzarella sticks, and other favorites that made it hard not to order more than I needed. The whole menu felt thoughtfully put together, like the owners actually know what people enjoy eating instead of trying to be like every other place. I ordered a pizza and salad, and both were excellent. The pizza had a flavorful crust, plenty of toppings, and tasted like the kind of pie people keep coming back for. The salad was fresh and a perfect complement on a hot summer day. One of my favorite parts, though, was simply looking around the room. There were families sharing lunch, couples on midday dates, retirees catching up over coffee, and friends enjoying a meal together. It was a snapshot of small-town Minnesota at its best. If you find yourself in Park Rapids, whether you're headed to the lakes, Itasca, or just passing through.....Rocky's is worth the stop. Great food, genuine hospitality, and the kind of place that reminds you why local restaurants are often the best part of the trip
