Visiting from New Hampshire Will recommend Would return I actually wasn't quite sure how I was going to feel about this park after reading all of the reviews I kind of felt like I didn't wanna go, but let me just reassure you please make that decision based upon your own experience because mine was very different than what the reviews I was reading about There is plenty of parking you do not have to print your tickets The big issue they're making about coolers is really not that big of an issue. You just have to leave your cooler outside of where the water area is. There's a big covered area where the coolers go, and there was more than a dozen to two dozen coolers left in there and people would just come out of the water area and get their coolers, which was no more than a five minute walk less than Also, there was some complaints about not being able to bring food in there with you again the food you cannot bring into the water area, but you can bring anything you want in the cooler area and honestly, can you only imagine what the water would look like if you allowed all of these people bringing in all this food I was able to rent a locker to fit a beach bag with two towels, two pairs of shoes and a water bottle for $12 all day There was plenty of open chairs to sit on even if you wanted to leave your towels on the chairs nobody was going to be taking your towels I even seen wallets and phones As for the food, sure if you wanna eat before then that would be a great idea. My husband and I each had a chicken finger sandwich that had three large pieces of chicken tender on it and they were hand battered chicken tenders and they were $16 apiece with a bag of chips whatever we were hungry we ate it. It wasn't totally disgusting. We had no lines no waiting for the slides. There are large amount of stairs to the slides, which is why we ended up needing some food during our time here. I also want to point out that all of these waterslides are for multiple riders meaning 2 to 4 there is two slides in the whole park that are single rider slides The park was clean. I went to water parks before it just looks like a waterpark. There wasn't an overabundance of trash, floating in the water like it says there wasn't piles of shit like it says. As for the lifeguards, I also read that they are not very friendly. I find that to be faults. They are all doing their job there so they're not going to go out of their way to interact with you. If you speak to them, you will get spoken back to you, but as you will watch and see them, they are very aggressively doing their jobs So please again make your own review. Don't just not go because of what you're reading and I hope that my review will help you to get there to decide. read more

This was a great experience. The park was clean and had a variety of water rides. The park also provides options for you to rent a private cabana and we did that this time. The cabana was cool. It had a table with chairs and a refrigerator and some lounge chairs. Also it had an outlet and that was cool. I would definitely recommend this park. read more

Boyyyyyyyy did we have a time last night!!!! So my bestie and I went to zoombezi bay for the first time in years!!! There was so much to do! We didn't know they had their own entrance so we came in through the zoo. Once we got to zoombezi bay the lady said our tickets was voided! We'll duh they just scanned them at the front gate. So we had to go to guest relations and very our tickets! Of course they was valid!!! We was pissed we lost our good seats and the lady didn't even apologize! But after that the LAZY RIVER WAS OUR BEST FRIEND!! like I stated before we lost the good seats so we was out in the sun. I think it's dum u can't bring a umbrella or a cooler. Your allowed one beverage and one snack person but it can't be in a cooler. The wave pool was far so we took the lazy River and DJ IQ was there! That's my guy!!! When I say we was lit WE WAS LIT LIT!!! We got food and it was A WHOLE LOT CHEAPER THEN IN THE ZOO!!!!! the hot dog and fries, the chicken tenders and fries and a drink all came up to $29! I didn't think that was bad! I got a slushy in a souvenir cup, and that was $10 and then Bessie got a frozen strawberry daiquiri in the adult section and that was $13. We always have a great time at Zoombezi Bay. Love that they have added a separate entrance so you don't have to go through the main zoo entrance. You can't take coolers of food in but there is an area where you can store them just outside. You can each take in a water and a snack. Lots of things to do and they had many food options open. Lines were a bit long for being a Thursday. We got a cabana and it was so nice to have a dedicated space, refrigerator, safe, fan, server, and waters. First time visiting, I like it. However....keep in mind. From my experience, it was a cashless park. Locker rental needed a credit card as well as food vendors. I enjoyed the 21 and over Lazy River. Drinks were a bit pricey. The 21 and over Lazy River gets packed, so go early. My sister and I stayed a few hrs, and then it just got to be overcrowded. We both enjoyed the wave pool and went down a couple of slides. The lazy river for everyone was nice, but much like the 21 and over Lazy River, it got to be overcrowded as well. Overall, nice waterpark. I liked it. I would visit again. Go and enjoy. read more

I've been to Zoombeezi Bay many times over the years and we've gotten a membership a few of them. This year we with the opening of Pelican Bay, an area for Toddlers we decided to get a membership here again versus the Worthington Pool, which is perfectly lovely btw but with a busy 14 month old for us this was just a better fit. It's less expensive, you get access to the zoo, and kids under two are free. Pelican Bay is heated, with 12-14 inch water with various slides and fountains. We had the best time there today, and barely made it out of that area before it was time to go home. They have updated their food in recent years and even serve Harvest Pizza. When it comes to the bigger slides which are really fun, the lines can be long I would recommend getting a fast pass if you are only there for one day and you are trying to hit them all. Staff are incredibly rude and disrespectful, from the staff at food stands that ignore customers, to lifeguards who pick and choose who they will and will not follow height requirements for, to the security staff who walk around on a power trip with an attitude. I was on the fence about renewing our season passes this year due to how poor our experience was consistently, week after week for the 2024 season. I tried to give it another chance, thinking that maybe they had just gotten a crappy staff last year, but when it's literally every single week, that's a company policy. After visiting Zoombezi Bay in the middle of Summer 2020, I thought I better head back to Yelp and update all of y'all on how different it is when the world is in the middle of a pandemic. My friend and I made reservations online for 11am. The amount of people allowed in per hour has been restricted to about one hundred, so purchasing tickets online ahead of time is ideal. When we arrived, the line was not long at all, it was practically nonexistent. There were also plenty of lounge chairs to snag up. These chairs were also spaced out by at least six feet to help keep everyone socially distant. This was the first thing that I noticed as significantly different. In the past, you got to hunt down a set of chairs like a hunter does a deer in November. This time around it was very enjoyable to simply find a spot quickly and get comfortable. Our next stop was to get some refreshments. While only a few of the food/drink vendor areas were open, it didn't matter because they were staffed adequately and we got our large boozy smoothie drinks super fast. Of course, they were pricey but what do you expect (about $12)? After sucking those down, applying sunscreen, and cooling off in the wave pool, we were ready for rides! The lines for rides were obviously not as long and you got through them much more quickly. I honestly heard several people mention how this experience was the best one they've ever had at Zoombezi Bay and I have to agree, I wish it was like this all of the time. While some of the kiddos weren't very hip on the COVID-19 rules, and they're parents weren't around, it also wasn't too hard to steer clear of them. My friend and I got to ride all of the rides, some several times, which definitely isn't the norm. In a 4-5 hour time span, we did more than one loop around the park, including time well spent in the lazy river and wave pool. I wonder if they'll consider keeping any of the rules they've implemented this year. I'm sure they don't make as much money as when they pack everyone in there like sardines, but it's certainly a lot more fun! read more

The fries tasted like chips super old looking and the staff was a bunch of teens that have no real professional talk when taking orders. I had fun, but the 21 and over lazy river was dirty. Leaves, twigs and dirt spoiled the experience. It was gross. The water seemed pretty low, as well. Maybe they need to look into a better filtration system? Plus, the roller coaster that goes over the lazy river spoils a peaceful adult experience. We stayed for about seven hours on a Friday (two of us) and spent $250. That includes only one "adult beverage", tickets, parking, ice cream for one of us, two cups with free soft drink refills, lunch and dinner. If they could keep that lazy river cleaner, I would go back. Just be prepared to pay $16 for (three pieces) chicken fingers and fries. I also noticed that there are not nearly enough handicapped parking spaces. If you want one of those spots, better get there early! read more

Visited twice, once for a regular season visit and once for the Waterpark after dark event. Had a great experience both times. All staff is attentive and helpful. Clear signage throughout the park. Nice that there is options to bring your own snacks, and lunch, as well as lots of food options to purchase. Lots of parking options and connected to the Columbus Zoo. I went June 20th and had a hard time at first- I was told when I called ahead of time that the scooters will b at the front entrance for rent but I had to go walk through 4 checkpoints with my walking stick to get to rent a scooter which was ALOT of walking for me then at the 3rd checkpoint; I was greeted with NO COMPASSION for my handicap & was told (by 2 people that jumped in my face rudely) said that I would have to walk alll the way back to my car because I brought in my little fold out stool for lines for me to sit while I wait-I said "I can't walk alll the way back to my car, I NEED a scooter then they said "oh well you can ask Customer Service at the next checkpoint"- customer service made me wait awhile too while being the ONLY person in line waiting for Customer Service. While 4 employees behind the window played around(luckily I had my fold out stool to sit down at the window) then when they decided to help me I stated I need to rent a scooter & the lady said it cost money as if I don't have the money to rent- I said "that's what renting is right?"‍then I mentioned my stool that I was sitting on & she said it was fine for me to bring it in!! Went Last Thursday. I'm not sure who the Dj was but the music was so inappropriate! I thought this was a family place but it has turned into a ghetto mess. That would have been fine for an adult night but not during the day with children around. It also brought in people who were WALKING AROUND WITH BLUNTS. My phone got stolen out of my bag as well. My friends and I went on the dive in movie night 7/5/25. we get the after 4pm tickets. we get there around 5pm and all the lockers were sold out but they had back up lockers and an employee had to physically open it everytime we needed in it. still paid the same price as the other locker. 8pm rolls around and they close half of the park the one where out lockers were located. we were not given a straight answer on if we were allowed to keep coming over to our locker so we took our stuff out and went to the other lockers and they were still sold out. we had to carry our stuff the rest of the time. they closed the half of the park that has the 21+ lazy river (one reason why we wanted to spend the money to go). then shut down all the rides on that side. we needed up leaving because the wait for the slides (the only thing open now) was an hour plus long. not very happy with my first experience here. read more

Tried out Zoombezi Bay for the first time this summer, and I have to say it was a great experience. I actually prefer the water park with all the extra measures they have put in place for C-19. The lounge areas/seats have been set up so that everyone can practice social distancing and slides/wading areas have reminders of social distancing. The park has also limited the number of guest that enter the park. Tickets can be made online with entry times. The limited guest number has made it nice not having to wait in line for very long for a slide. There have been some minor adjustments in the kids areas, such a entry and exit points as well as limiting the number of kids in an area. The lazy river only allow you to use a tube in order to prevent over crowding and it also has specific entry and exit points. Food and concession was a bit limited. There are normally 4 to 5 places that offer food and drinks, but this time I only saw one area open for food. The good thing about the water park is they do allow you bring in your own food/snacks and drinks, just check the website for details or call about the size of cooler. This can be a money saver for you! I definitely recommend Zoombezi Bay this summer. Columbus Zoo has done a great job with all their safety measures! read more

Very disappointed. I would not recommend, especially for the price. We came in from out of town to enjoy a family day. We had purchased our tickets, meal pass and souvenir cups on line. Our first hour there was spent in line because our tickets did not forward, then another line to get the meal passes and souvenir cups sorted out. We decided to take advantage of the zoom pass. Many slides were closed down, no body slides, many other water attractions were also closed. Zoom pass was not able to be used for the more popular slides. One slide closed the fast pass just as we were notified it was our time to go to the slide. We attended the park on a Saturday, and the park was extremely crowded. Many things were sold out, including lockers and zoom passes (by 1pm). There did not seem to be enough lifeguard/slide staff, and much of the slide staff did not seem to be fully trained- or engaged. There were many injuries that we saw(cut legs and bloody noses) , with 2 emergencies requiring EMTs. The quality of food was terrible and there were not many choices. The food/snack staff was incredibly rude. When we asked a question, we were spoken to rudely and given incorrect information. When we attempted to refill our souvenir cups at the end of the day before leaving (while in-line for the sodas fountain), the staff member stated that they were closed as the lady in front of me filled her glass,. When I asked if I could just grab a refill, he stated "no, I said we're closed" and he would not allow me to fill our cups. If you are planning a family outing , I would strongly recommend that you not waste your money on the meal passes and souvenir cups; do not expect to have a locker or lounge chair; do not expect friendly or informative interactions with staff; and have low expectations for your day. read more

Absolutely fantastic experience. The sheer variety of water attractions is almost staggering; multiple waterslides, two lazy rivers (family and an adults-only version), massive waterpark playset, a wave pool, and more. Lots of food options, and a robust gift store. If you rent a cabana, though, it's a whole other level. You can have food and drinks brought to you, and the employees check on you probably every hour or so. Every employee was cheerful and pleasant and accommodating. I am so disappointed in the pricing of this park. Once again profit is put ahead of our community and children. I have always taken my kids to tgis park, when it was wyondot lake. I moved out of state to Fla and whn I came back the price had tripled in price. My great grandson will not get to experience the trill of this park because of made for profit businesses. VERDICT: Highly recommend. The (young) staff was amazing and the faculties were very well maintained. I actually thought the staff here was more professional than the staff at Disneyland! PROs: - The lifeguards! The lifeguards, especially at the Kiddie Area (with the large water bucket) and wave pool were super attentive with their scans (looks like nodding). They deserve a compliment and pay raise. They were great! - The staff from the initial security, bag checkers, ticket takers, to lifeguards, and food attendants were just pleasant and professional at every encounter. - Christmas music throughout the park! Christmas in July was fun, but no "Baby, It's Cold Outside" or "O' Come All Ye Faithful"? CONs: -Food and food prices: $16 for below average chicken tenders and fries is a bit much (and not very good). - Not enough sun shades. Please add more at the wave pool and throughout the park. - Fast Passes. Attention Ownership: Don't fall victim, like every other park. There is no way you are making enough money on this to make it worth the unhappiness it creates in EVERY other kid in line. Recommendations for Parents: 1. Show up early and go directly to the wave pool and reserve a couple chairs under the sun shades by putting towels on them. (Of note, you won't need a chair for every person, as the children will hardly ever be there; just one per adult and maybe one extra for when a child checks-in.) 2. Have children wear water shoes. Although they won't feel it initially, after a day of walking on the pavement and pseudo-nonskid throughout the park, several of our children had sore feet or blisters. 3. Go to the adult only pool with swim up bar and adult-only (real) lazy river. We had such a good time, I did not even mind the $10 parking fee, which is free if you are a zoo member. read more

I walk with a cane due to disability and was directed to leave my 9 inch by 12 inch cooler with my epipen, medicine, and my wifes low blood sugar snacks outside the park in cooler cove. ( yes, when you pass security and need a handstand for re entry you actually are leaving) Now add the bees around the adult areas, and yellow jackets you're setting someone up with serious allergic reactions for a day in the ER! Or worse let em die waiting on their eppipen to be returned from a country mile away!!!!!! Staff were rude and unconcerned about medical needs of guests just the inconvenience of a small cooler taking up soacethat easily fit under a chair or in a locker near where your going to be! Now add they turned all the fountain pop machines neat the entrance into water that wasn't cold and no ice available so you had to hike to the other side of the park if you wanted a cold drink with your food you brought with you. Until there are MAJOR changes I don't recommend visiting if you need meds with you or have a mobility disability. read more

Disgusting. MASSIVE OVERCROWDING. There is nowhere CLOSE to the staff required to accommodate the DANGEROUS AMOUNT of guests they cram into this cesspool. Seriously: they have GOT to be breaking some sort of capacity to lifeguard law. CERTAINLY IN THE CHILDREN'S AREAS. The hordes of people frantically swarming in tells that there must be PLENTY of revenue generated to raise the workers' compensation. (not to mention the INSANE daily price per person) Teenagers usually LIKE working at water parks! It just shows how greedy the whole Columbus Zoo enterprise has become. TONS of rides were closed, because there weren't enough staff to monitor them. Due to an insanely more expensive "fast pass", which essentially allows people to cut the big line and continuously ride a ride multiple times....it took us close to 2 hours to wait in line just for the first ride which sat up to four, yet the people running the ride weren't calling out to ask guests in line if more riders wanted to share a tube when only 2 were riding. Only half our party got on that ride. This was due to the fact that we had one relative monitoring our 3 children (ages 4 and 6) in the "Baboon Lagoon." Which SHOULD NOT have been an issue. But THAT was the biggest $hit sh@w of all. I would bet there were around 200 people in that section. (people, not little kids) And there was ONE GUARD...Mindlessly blowing an ear piercing whistle at parents who dared to rest their bottoms on the pools edge to actually WATCH their children. (THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PLACE TO SIT) Every. Single. Chair. is covered with one flip flop, empty sunscreen, something dumb. And almost no one is at their seat all day. Mind you this was at like 11 am right after opening. Ever think of having a few seats just open and not allowed to be hogged the whole day by one person, but left for people who might have a disability and just need a seat every once in a while? Due to the massive crowds and closures throughout the park, large unruly kids and teens had migrated over to the children's Baboon Lagoon" area, infiltrating the entire platform... with nothing better to do, they were out of control. There was no guard on the actual platform area monitoring what was happening. There were NO slides open or "working" at the top part, but of course none of the big kids knew that so they were cramming past all the little kids, practically knocking both the children and parents over in a rush to find the "next best thing". Literally every slide had ropes just sloppily tied to block the opening. When I tried to tell the lifeguard about the older kids pushing the smaller ones, he shrugged his shoulders and said that "they were allowed to be up there and that there was no height restriction on that ride". I understand this for parents, however I thought it mentioned in the pamphlet that that area was geared for younger guests. At any rate this particular lifeguard was not concerned about the safety of the children being pushed but more about defending the fact that the older kids had the right to be up there and he definitely couldn't do anything about it. I saw him TRY to speak to a manager-looking girl who appeared to be no older than 20, and I watched her shrug her shoulders shake her head and just walk off. In the end I could tell that it wasn't their fault, and the park was just being managed in a ridiculously poor fashion. Whoever is in charge ultimately does not care about the safety of the guests, the stress of the workers, or weather or not a child drowns. Because IF this water park continues to be run in this fashion, no doubt an accident will most certainly happen. By noon that day, most people were leaving. Especially parents with small children who could obviously see that this was a huge safety risk for their families. It was clear that guests were super frustrated. TONS of crying KIDS, INCLUDING OUR OWN SMALL THREE. EVERYONE just looking absolutely exhausted. The kiddy pool or the smallest children's area had almost no place to walk there were so many tiny little bodies. This was the only place for those with little children because the baboon lagoon area was overcrowded with teens. There were 2 guards here. As you can imagine it was pretty gross. We ended up staying less than two hours when we planned to stay the whole entire day, packing a cooler full of food. We decided to try to sit down for a picnic lunch on the way out. Of course the teeny tiny picnic area...which like, can I just ask:why bother? There IS room for additional picnic areas. So yeah, the picnic area was swarmed with people & no place to sit. AND then GEESE! For some reason people are feeding geese. There are no signs to inform people NOT TO. DEAR ZOO: you have an E:coli situation in your picnic area. Awesome family day and this was my first time back since it was previously Wyandot lake...whoa buddy a LOT has changed! What I do appreciate is the ticket for entrance is good for BOTH the zoo and water park. Both open until 8pm. Parking is $10 per vehicle. If you have a Zoombezi Bay season pass there's a special entrance for you, otherwise you must enter at zoo entrance. The parking lot fills up quick on the weekends. Food is typical park pricing (always over expensive ) whereas the dippin dot prices are actually very reasonable (a large one for $5.99!!) All the staff we spoke too were very friendly and helpful. The lazy river is extremely packed and was more like bumper floats. The kids area is nice for toddlers and they have an array of water slides for kids over 42". Beware though, the water is extremely COLD in this area. Warmest water was in lazy river, then the wave pool. The wave pool was nice and just like I remembered. When you enter the park there are a handful of rides in which tickets are $2 each. If you plan on riding all of them definitely look into purchasing a wrist band as you'll definitely Save money. I really enjoyed the log ride and the ship. You will get soaked on log ride and the ship made me laugh so much as my stomach tickles!' Definitely great place to people watch. read more

Due to covid, you now enter zoombeezi bay in a different entrance instead of the zoo. You'll also need to buy tickets online in advance and choose a time to go to the park. They did a great job at keeping chairs socially distanced and everyone, even the little ones, were good about social distancing in line for slides. There's many different types of slides and activities for all ages. It wasn't super busy when I went so I got to do everything multiple times within a 4-5 hour time span. Only downside was that crocktail creek, the adults only lazy river, wasn't open but I believe it is now. As expected, coming here is not cheap. I think it was just under $10 for a bottled water and very small personal pizza at donatos. I also think that was the cheapest meal they had. If you're looking to splurge and have more privacy and have people bring you food and drinks, the cabanas are the way to go. Fun place! Just don't expect it to be cheap. read more

My son purchased 10 tickets to the after dark movie tonight. The charge went through three weeks ago. They are telling him they have no record of his tickets and there's no confirmation. He has the charge on his credit card that was taken on the 15th and his birthday party is tonight. They are trying to work it out but cannot guarantee me he can have the tickets that he paid for on the 15th. This is incredibly poor service and unorganized!! I would think the best they can do is guarantee you have the 10 tickets when you can show proof of receipt!!! read more

This place needs an admission quota. We went on a hot Saturday and ended up waiting over an hour in line for food. Place just seemed way overcrowded and there is no way there is a 1:25 lifeguard ratio. I took my family of 3 and ended up spending 75 dollars. We spent most of the time waiting in line to get in from Columbus zoo, where they only had a single file line checking security and tickets. All in all we went in the lazy river twice in a period of 5 hours. I feel like I was jipped $75 and that money would have been much better spent in the rides right outside the water park entrance from the zoo. I'm not sure if this is how watermarks are nowadays as I haven't been since before covid, but I'd skip the Waterpark and stick with the zoo, which was awesome and the complete opposite experience we had in Waterpark. read more

i went here with my grandma and my sister and it was great!the only downside was the wavepool got shut down because a kid pooped but that's not there problem they did get in cleaned up and back running.there food is also very good i do recommend read more
