I had a spray tan and it went poorly. It was not my first spray tan but it was the first time at a Zoom Tan. I felt like I was suffocating in the spray (I did use nose plugs) and the results are pretty awful. See the picture of my splotchy, orange hand attached. The girl who checked me in was very nice but I asked a question to a different girl as I was leaving and she said "I don't know, I don't spray tan" with an unpleasant attitude and basically refused to engage with me at all. I was just asking if there was a way to feel like you were breathing in less liquid but she acted like we were in middle school and she was too cool to talk to me. read more

I was with this company for a few years and had a monthly spray tan membership which I only used occasionally (maybe 3 times a year). Recently they raised their prices to $50 a month without notifying me at all and charged my card on file. I called immediately after seeing the raise and spoke with customer service requesting a refund for that month and a service cancellation. Customer service informed me I could only do that via email - which I did 4 times. 3 follow up phone calls and supposedly there isn't ever anyone who can do anything, there are no supervisors you can talk to - nothing. I probably would have cancelled for the summer and renewed again in the fall like I have previously but thanks to their poor customer service I will never renew and I will also not give any more referrals. If you have ever become a member of St Croix Tanning, zoom tan bought all their account on them and keep charging their old customer without any notice. Check your credit card transactions and be aware than this business! They are just scam! They have been charging our credit cards last couple of months for close business! I am slightly disappointed with the level of tan I got. Also, it was my first time coming into the shop and the front desk woman said my info was already in the system which makes me very nervous. I asked her specifically if thy got names from solicitors, she said no. For someone who has never been to a zoom tan and with a new last name I was confused on how my name and address would or could be in their system. That was a bit nerve wracking to me. Never the less, she still let me use the coupon I had for a first time visit which was nice (I did have to pay extra for 2 extra minutes) so first time go-ers be prepared if you are going to use a Yelp coupon, that if you do over 6 minutes, you have to pay. I would go back to try one more time, but just go in for more time to see if I actually get color from the booth. (Ps I did a stand up uv, have never tried the spray) read more

I am a big fan of Zoom Tan. They are clean & the prices can't be beat. I wanted to write this review specifically about Zoom Tan in Troy, NY because of Aubrey, one of the ladies that works there. She was super sweet. Coming from over an hour away, she made the trip feel worth it with her great attitude. It is always nice to feel comfortable & appreciated in any business and that's how she made me feel. She is a great employee & kudos to Zoom Tan for finding her! :-) The only downside I can find about Zoom Tan is their locations. After Hudson, NY closed, unfortunately for me, there are none within an hours drive. I would love to see some new Zoom Tans between the Colonie/Troy locations and the Cobleskill/Oneonta locations. Besides the lack of Zoom Tans near me, I can't complain. I would certainly say that good, clean tanning at these prices would be hard to find anywhere else. Thank you, Zoom Tan, for keeping me tan. I had such a great experience here! Went here a day before my prom because the place I went to(SC tan) the day before was bad. I walked in and the young man and woman at the front desk were so nice and helpful. I told them my situation because I know nothing about spray tans and they suggested a level 2 clear. I was in and out in 10 minutes and I was perfectly tan for prom. Not sure what their names were but they're really great workers who know their stuff. I went again yesterday and saw the same young man and he was just as helpful as last time I went for a tan. Highly recommend here. read more

If I could give zero stars I would this whole business is horrible dint expect to get anything calling customer service they are zero help apparently you can only speak to customer service reps not the managers they screw you out of money completely they'll only let you pay with a card just to make more money that way because if you dont cancel your membership they will keep charging your card and dont think if you dont have money in your bank they'll stop they wont I just went to the bank and my balance js negative 22$ from them the beds suck theyp barely have any lotions to buy yet the few they do have are ridiculously priced I dont even understand how this business still exists to be honest read more

Well i have to say...its a great place...i got the level 3 with clear coat...i feel bad for jumping the gun. The girls at the front desk were informative. And knew their stuff....and really super friendly. The tanning booth is phonominal and clean. They have a little helper to direct you in what to do....yeah its awesome. I've been going here for a couple months and had no problem with them until I went in for a $3 spray tan and the employee was SO RUDE and charged me the full $25 because I didn't show her the coupon when she never even asked me to show her it. The fact that I still asked if I could show her the coupon after my session and she wouldn't let me use it is ridiculous. I called customer service and was not pleased with how they handled the situation. Instead of giving me back my $22 because of a misunderstand on their part, they fought with me about every word that came out of my mouth on the recording even though I said I wanted the $3 spray tan. I usually don't complain about stores but this was shocking and a horrible way to treat your customers. I will be cancelling my membership because of how poorly they treated and manipulated me. read more

The young lady I dealt with this morning was awesome. This was my first experience with zoom tan and wanted a nice base for a wedding I am attending next weekend. So I called the customer service line this morning to ask questions in regards to their membership, I was greeted on the other end by an eager and friendly young lady who discussed every facet of membership in fact talked about letting me use the booths for a few minutes at no charge to see how they were. I am African-American, yes I get a tan, I am looking to tan only for a few minutes a few times a week I explained. No need for a monthly membership as of yet I am willing to pay full price. After several minutes of conversation we end and I head into the location in Troy, midday I might add, Zoom Tanzoom tan happens to be located across the street from a college campus quite fun I might add just trying to get there. Coming from work I had no credit cards or debit cards on my person just cash and after driving 30 minutes I enter the doors to a sign that says"no cash payment accepted" what a Pity that I spent so much of my time already tied up finding everything about Zoom Tan except for there no cash policy over the phone with the lovely representative. I tried to contact customer service for the complaints department good luck everyone it's a voicemail, after bombarding them with calls I received a text message reply with an apology not in those words of course basically communicating I'm a dunce I should have known too bad so sad. funny thing is after I ask to be compensated for my time today the text conversation ended abruptly and impolitely. I can only assume that Zoom Tan approves of my dissatisfaction. So in the spirit of their bad taste, I will continue to post reviews about their company on any Avenue that becomes available to me. A conversation would have been easier, I suppose the corporate offices of Zoom Tan wear unaware That Word of Mouth is the best advertisement. read more
