I have gotten spray tans here back in 2018 and 2019 that have been okay... but this recent one was…read moreby far the worst. A change of employment seemed to have occurred over the years. The tan was horrible to say the least. My face was half sprayed with a line directly down the center, and my forehead had a line before my hairline. Additionally, my hand looked like it was spray painted as it was covered in spots. My entire body was covered in streaks and the horribly done spray was very difficult to remove. The entire place was beyond disorganized to top it off. I would not recommend this location to anyone and I will certainly never be returning. Not worth the money, time, and effort as it is best to be showered off immediately when you get home.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I wanted to get a spray tab package, but due to a…read moremiscommunication, I was signed up for a regular bed package. The girl at the desk (very nice) called her manager and asked if she could reverse the charge. They told the worker that the charge would be reversed within 3 days. Then, I went to get spray tanned and you are supposed to have 4 passes, but the machine kept shutting down between "passes." I had to get undressed and dressed at least 5 times. The girl who was initially helping me was very kind. Then, Nadia came in and told me to "go to another salon" because "it wasn't her fault the machines don't work." Finally, while they did offer me some free product, the manager eventually called me (almost 3 hours after she said she would), and told me instead of refunding me they were going to offer me a 3 month package. I said I just wanted a refund and she told me "well that's not gonna happen." She then started asking me if I had ever managed people before, and I asked what does that have to do with anything? I repeatedly said all I want is a refund and she eventually said "well that's not gonna happen" and hung up the phone.

I walked in to a seemingly angry woman who just looked at me like I had 3 heads. So I spoke first and said I'd like to tan. She laughed and said no. I had to take a look around and make sure I was in the right building. I was like uhh, okay.. she said you need to fill out all the paperwork first. (Obviously).. She continued to say rudely that I was not an exciting customer and at that point it was clear she was trying to deter me or her from having to do any work as the place was dead empty. I just stopped her and said I'll go some where else. Facility was morbid looking and she is miserable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

St Croix Tan in East Greenbush has moved to their new location in Rensselaer. I used the new…read morelocation for the first time and it is horrible!! I am not sure why the owner felt moving to this location is an upgrade because it is clearly NOT. Parking is Very Limited. The front desk when you walk in is unfriendly and has no counter space. The finger scanner for ID is on top of the signature pad because of lack of space. The stand up booths are in the hallway and are not in a room by themselves, The changing space in the booths are limited and the door doesn't even have a lock on it. The stand up tanning booths if refurbished are embarrassing for even an old out dated location as they are scratched, dented, etc. This new location rates zero stars but I had to click on one star to post this comment.

Don't waste your time coming here during dollar tan week if you've never been here before. I came…read morehere and wanted to take advantage of the dollar tan week promotion that they had going on. When I arrived, I had to be input into the system as a first time client and was asked a bunch of questions regarding my ability to tan, had I ever been tanning, etc. I opted for the level 3 bed and was asked how long I wanted to go for. Being that I have skin that tans very easily, I wanted the maximum time. I was told "company policy" stated new clients were not allowed to tan for the maximum time. Instead I could only tan for 6 minutes. 6 minutes of tanning isn't even worth taking my clothes off. I said OK how about level 2? And was told 7 minutes. Again...not worth my time. I was told that the more I come in, the longer they will let me tan. Thinking I would be able to tan for longer tomorrow I asked if I would be able to do the maximum then and was told no I would only be able to go for 10 minutes. This was really irritating to me and seemed like a bait and switch. They entice you with promotions then when you go there, they try to tell you you can only tan for a short amount of time each day, so that you'll want to come back in throughout the week to be able to tan for longer and spend more money. One of the employees tried to get me to buy lotion which was funny to me. Yea sure..let me lather myself up in lotion for my 7 minute tan... Come to find out, it's not "company policy" as I called another St. Croix location and was told I could have tanned as long as I wanted. So for some reason, the employees here like to make things up and then claim it's company policy. I'm paying to tan, I should be able to tan as long as I want. I had already made the drive out there so I decided to just go with the level 2 - 7 minute tan. The area where the beds are was run down looking and the beds looked old and broken. The doors in each room were cheap.. the doorknob was wobbly and looked like it was about to fall off. I didn't feel comfortable in my room..it felt like a public bathroom stall and the walls were so short that someone probably could have popped their head over and looked into my room. On top of that, I got no cell phone service in the building and was unable to listen to my music while I tanned. As expected, I got no color so I totally wasted my time. Each bed has a jolly rancher placed on it after it gets cleaned, but it's going to take a lot more than a jolly rancher to get me to come back here. I'll stick to total tan.
