I would NOT recommend Zoom Fit based on its membership agreement, cancellation process, refund practices, and overall business practices. I joined on June 27, 2026, and paid $39.99 for a "Zoom Fit + UV & Spray" membership. On June 30, I tried to cancel during the three-business-day cancellation period stated in Zoom Fit's own agreement. The online portal would not let me cancel because Zoom Fit requires members to wait ten days after signing up, even though the agreement says online cancellation is the only accepted method. So Zoom Fit gives members a three-day cancellation right but does not allow them to use its required cancellation method until day ten. I submitted my cancellation by email instead. Zoom Fit's legal counsel, William Leve, later confirmed June 30 as the date of my request and said the appropriate refund would be issued. Kristin Stevens, Zoom Fit's Operations Support Manager, later told me I would receive only $20 of the $39.99 I paid. Zoom Fit justified the partial refund by counting Saturday and Sunday even though its agreement says weekends are excluded, applying an 8:00 p.m. cutoff that does not appear in the agreement, and splitting the bundled membership into undisclosed "fitness" and "wellness" portions. The company never provided a clear calculation showing how it arrived at exactly $20. The agreement is also internally inconsistent. It sells a Zoom Fit membership and includes extensive terms covering physical activity, fitness facilities, exercise equipment, programs, assessments, health and safety, and "Club Policies." At the same time, it says Zoom Fit is not a health club or health studio and claims the fitness services are merely incidental to tanning. The same agreement then includes Florida's three-day "health studio" cancellation and refund language. Zoom Fit appears to call itself a fitness business when selling memberships, but a tanning business when health-studio rules may apply. It also appears to interpret its agreement in whichever way benefits the company and leaves the consumer with the smallest refund. This is about more than $19.99. It is about a cancellation system that blocks consumers from using the right written into the agreement, undisclosed timing rules, contradictory contract language, and a refund calculation the company would not clearly explain. I submitted the agreement, cancellation records, portal screenshots, payment and refund records, and Zoom Fit's written explanations to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. I am also submitting additional compliance complaints concerning health-studio registration and classification, fitness services, tanning operations, contract practices, and consumer protection. Anyone considering a membership should save the complete agreement, screenshot every cancellation attempt, and keep all payment records and communications with corporate support. Zoom Fit may not resolve the issue voluntarily, but those records may be useful for regulatory complaints, charge disputes, or small claims. Consumers who obtain a judgment may also be able to recover allowable filing and service costs. The two in-store staff members I interacted with were friendly and helpful. As a man, it's somewhat awkward for me to go to these establishments, but they make you feel like home whether you are a first time, pale and pasty, or a tan and tasty. I give a 5 solely based on Nicole, the manager, at this location. She is amazing. Knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and friendly. Zoom should be so happy they have an employee like her!! As far the spray goes... I think I'll wait to make a review of that until I get used to the booths. This review isn't about a location, but about the company in general. They recently acquired coppertan in west palm beach, and even though they are honoring existing memberships till they expire, they are requiring customers to pay xtra $$ for their level 5 beds & booths, even though those bed & booths are included in the memberships that they are honoring. Corporate says their bringing in all new level 5 booths, but until that happens, existing customers from coppertan will have to dish out xtra $$$ to use certain equipment. Not exactly sure why zoomtan can't just let long standing coppertan customers use the equipment they've been using @ no xtra charge until zoomtan installs their own equipment. It's my belief that they will lose alot of coppertan customers due to this issue. read more

If you have a problem with your account with ZOOM TAN it is impossible to get satisfaction. First you have to contact customer service then they tell you you must "e-mail customer- care" to inform them of the problem at Zoom Tan. There is NO one to speak in order to resolve the issue. They do not post their hours on their glass front and their website says they are open but when you drive there they are closed.

Always a wait for spray booths as there are often several out of service. I feel bad for the nice staff that is constantly on the phone with support as line builds up. Employees often getting mistreated by customers that are frustrated with the wait. However, they should come to expect it at this point. If I didn't have a great locked in rate for being a member for 7 years I'd change tanning salons in a heartbeat and wouldn't recommend anyone joining at the going rates these days! I've called corporate several times to express my concerns but have given up at this point and drive down to Estero location which is always in and out. read more

This place is super! Every time I come here, the staff is extremely polite & professional. Sometimes machines break down, but the staff does its best to accommodate everyone quickly. I have been a zoom tan member at this location for 10 years. I love going to zoom tan for the versa spa spray tan. The staff is always very friendly at both locations. Sometimes I also go to the location near Coastland mall. They know me by name and even when they are busy they always make a point to say hello. I read some of these other reviews. I would like to say that if you're new to zoom tan this location went through a big remodel. They added Zoom Fit and upgraded the lobby and tanning booths. So Im sure during that time some people had to wait a extra 5 or 10 minutes. I also want to mention that when you sign up they don't use high pressure sales techniques. They explain the membership and prices and then let you decide. Zoom tan also has a self check in kiosk that makes it easy to sign in. Especially if the staff is busy answering questions or cleaning a booth. My only complaint is the parking lot. It's super small and cars speed through it. On many occasions I've almost been hit by cars not yielding to me backing out. I know zoom tan has no control over this. But the plaza needs to consider speed bumps. I'm sorry but this was not a good experience. I arrived and waited for 5 minutes while the guest coordinator checked in the previous customer. I came back after another 5 minutes. When I returned, I had an opportunity to see the units, then I was told that I had to wait another 5 minutes while she cleaned the other beds before I could use the one that was available. I made the decision to go with the one month membership. She scanned my card took license and fingerprints. Proceed to an upscale for a 50 percent off product. Decided on one at 20. Wait now it's 29.50. I decided no product today- as 29.50 isn't 20..... feel me yet? Time to scan my card Again! Wait didn't you just scan it. We have to scan it again that's what the system tells us. Ok. Wait for the message in your phone and we will send you a verification code, ok there's another verification code needed. Please stand over here while I help this woman with her questions. She continues with the other customer for another 5 minutes. I pipe in... hey I've been here for awhile. Can we complete my transaction. Ok. We need your finger print again.... Got the 800 number and will cancel. She doesn't have it in store. You have to go online. Have mercy! I guess they got my 28.62 for the time being. read more

Staff here is beyond nice specially Nicole who is very pleasant every time i stop in. The salon and company policies need improvements though. They only have 2 spray booths and today both of them broke at the same time. I asked to use the UV instead since the spray was unavailable and was told that i would need to pay extra for it. Terrible. I've been a long time customer at zoomtans around the state for 6+ years. Every time I come to Naples I go to this location, although not sure why I didn't stop sooner. Came in today and they make it clear they could care less about the pandemic or spike in cases. Waiting room full of people sitting smushed together waiting. No masks in sight, girl at the counter no mask and she didn't even sanitize the room in between people which is normal practice with out a pandemic. Rude and dismissive. This is a terrible place to go. The policies are inconsistent from one person working behind the counter to the next. Second, the whole assertion that you "can walk in and not wait in line" is completely incorrect. As of late, two times I went in to tan the gentleman (and I use that phrase loosely) was very not friendly and was on the phone. Second, as I had been a member before there was only one person who worked there that I felt was a good worker with exceptional people skills, and as such I stopped going there as well. I felt that maybe enough time had gone by and they had hired better people. NOT!!! Therefore this is a systemic issue within the company hiring anyone to be the face of their brand. Most recently, and although it was not a huge deal, as much as it was the "straw that broke the camel's proverbial back". This was that I own my own winkeez and the ones I thought I had with me were too melted and I wanted to get just one. With all my complaints, this was one thing I was always allowed to do during my first membership run. Well, I know that one dollar is not an issue, but it is a principal. There are slippery slopes when it comes down to this. I needed just one, why would I need to get two? How many of these extra sales, even though they amount to $.50 cents does Zoom Tan Corporate make? Second, how legal is it for them to require two month membership, according to the uniform commercial code. Do not become a member of this place ANYWHERE..As I have heard from my friends up in Fort Myers they had similar instances of poor customer service in one of the salons up there. This is by far one of the worst tanning salons I've ever had the misfortune to be a member. Save your money and your time and find a nice non-franchise like or branched tanning business. So this morning, I am in a huge rush due to the fact that I need to finish wills for veterans (and yes this is my fault) BUT I need to be tan for a gala at 5 pm, so I am rushing in there at 9:12 am or so. People are FLYING into the parking lot. Keep in mind it's not season yet. So good luck trying to get a tan when there are more people here. I wait and wait behind the girl in front of me who takes the last spray tan booth. The girl behind the counter has the nerve to start basically talking about me to the girl in front of me. As I'm looking at the clock worried about making it in time. She makes statements such as "you are soooooo much nicer and patient than other people." A pretty clear jab at me. I haven't said a word. I've just looked rushed at this point. She continues on to compliment how pretty this woman is and is continuing the conversation solely to drag out the process. I finally get up there and she says yeah sorry all spray booths are taken. I said thanks and said i did not have the time to wait (and based on another yelp review that Booth 15 has a faulty sprayer and the girl in front of me got booth 17.... I had a feeling I was going to have a pretty messed up tan for this gala having to use Booth 15). PS to the girl at the front desk: fix your lashes. THEN i try to call the Zoom Tan on Tamiami by Homegoods. Somehow I get directed (even though I called the number listed for that location) to a corporate office and they explain yes they have spray booths available. And I said yes but are any of them open right now? Obviously they cannot tell me this information. So basically Zoom Tan: you are a hot mess. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

Zoom Zan is very very POORLY managed. They pulled half of the booths never to be replaced. Only 2 spray booths #15 starts spraying shoulder level so ur ankles are over sprayed. ... brought to their attention and months later still not fixed. Tonight only 1 spray working. I'm giving this a 3 star because it is not the employees fault for bad customer service. I recently talked to their new manager and the manager was appalled by how little zoom tan informs their employees about the products and tanning. It is my first and only tanning salon and I wish they would be more involved with their customers questions and be more informative. I enjoy their stand up booths and the great sales on the tanning lotions. I probably will find a better salon in the future but I hope zoom tan across the board increases their employees knowledge. read more

They pressure sell their products otherwise you can't tan including eye wear. The eye wear is NOT Florida law it's actually a choice. Would never recommend this place. The district manager was there and she also pressure sells the eye wear. They had a pair they allow people to borrow and she said she can't do that anymore. If I could give them a ZERO star I would she could have let me use them this time she knew I had some at home and I had to drive all the way home to get mine. First, I will say that the place and staff are very nice. The tanning and spray work great. However, this is advice to warn you not to purchase the yearly service. We wanted to change our level of service after only a couple weeks and were told no changes can be made. The worst part is the customer "support" on the phone. They only take a message of your concern and then ONLY text with you...apparently they do not talk over the phone, only text...very disappointing. Don't be foolish like me and give them your money for a year...only month to month. They really need to fix how they handle customer service!! read more

Wow I'm reading all these terrible reviews and I can't believe it. I've been with Zoom Tan on and off for 6-7 years now. I've never had a problem cancelling or freezing my account, their staff, for the most part, has been very courteous and helpful, informing me of any specials or how I can currently save money. They are the best deal in town and since getting back from my month long trip in Colorado, I appreciate them even more. The tanning there is so incredibly expensive and the place that I went to said they can be that way bc there isn't much competition. I tried Zoom Tan for the first time. Unfortunately I didn't see the online coupon for first timers, nor was I told about it. I thought I was going to love the place after hearing the commercials, but the "salesman" was so pushy and kept trying to get me to get the gold package. I went for the 1 week silver to try. Although a max of 10 min, he would only give me 6 which hardly did anything. I'm am olive tone and have a base tan. I felt as though this shorter time was not for my benefit, but for less usage of bed. In all his fast talk he mentioned that the beds were stand up but I didn't hear that. He said the beds you lay in are not sanitary. I am sorry to say I was very disappointed and most likely will find another tanning salon. read more

I had a very similar problem as the previous reviewer. I purchased a Zoom Tan monthly membership over a year ago and was informed that their cancellation policy involved me having to come into the store to cancel. I was fine with that and went ahead and signed up. A few months later, I was getting too busy with school and just didn't have the time to stop in there so I called to cancel and spoke with a girl who told me I needed to come in. I was fine with that, made time to go in, spoke with a guy who was working there (very annoying, wouldn't stop talking) and he tried entering my cancellation into the computer, said he was having trouble and needed to call corporate, the person who he needed to talk to wasn't in the office so they told him I had to send in a letter stating I wanted to cancel. Really annoying, but whatever. I sent in a letter requesting my policy be cancelled and it just so happened my credit card was expiring the next month so I never saw any additional billing thereafter. This all occurred in August 2011. Fast forward to today, 12/23/12, I decided to go in and renew my membership as I just graduated from college (so I have no problems with my reading comprehension and completely understood the paperwork that I signed initially) and I now have more downtime. The girl working there told me that I have an outstanding balance because they never cancelled my account, and have been allowing the balance to accumulate this entire time (16 months!!!). I asked her why no one called me or sent something in the mail, and she just shrugged and said "I don't know, you'll have to call corporate." I held up my end of the deal by not only going in and cancelling, but sending in a letter to corporate, as well. Not good business practices!! read more

Zoom Tan is a rip-off! Their advertising is extremely deceptive...I kind of expected that since the Kadashian's are promoting them, but I decided to try a spray tan. I asked the young lady behind the counter if there were any specials. Of course they don't tell you there is a $5.00 coupon online...BUT I could have unlimited tanning for $39.99 monthly and the payments would be taken directly from my account...No thanks! I paid the $25.00 for the spray tan using my.credit card~ they don't accept cash! I was now in their system as a client. I asked her not to put me in as this is a one-time visit and I was afraid that the security of my credit card would be compromised...look at what just happened with Target. I also felt like the whole sales pitch and approach were very sketchy. I called customer service about my disappointment concerning the $5.00 coupon. I felt that I needed to voice my dissatisfaction about the deceptiveness of their ads on tv. I was told that the coupon can be used only if you have a Florida license and a Florida ID when used at their Florida locations OR you can use the coupon if you have a NY license...whaaaat? Lida from customer service said... "Well you couldn't use the coupon anyways since you don't have a Florida license!" I guess that should put me in my place...Nice customer service skills! I would NEVER recommend Zoom Tan~ they advertise no catches, no commitments, no contracts, but they have you sign all kinds of crazy paperwork before you can use their service! Buyer Beware! Beware - merchant refuses to cancel or freeze a membership and continues to bill credit card company even though an employee agreed, in front of 3 witnesses, to comply with request. Management flatly states that it is impossible that their employee did not follow company policy and therefore customer must be lying. Note that there are 2 complaints with the better business bureau within the past 2 months, both dealing with billing issues. read more
