Zombie Hut is a fun old school tiki bar. The menu has simple classic tiki drinks. We last came here on a Saturday night when everything else in the area was packed and expensive. Zombie Hut came to our rescue with seating for our group in the back next to a warm and cozy fireplace. Service was good- bar tenders were friendly and humorous. It was the perfect place to catch up with friends over a drink.

Great bartender. Made to order Bloody Mary was delish. Thank you! Also has a great backyard hangout space.

So there we were, stuck in the most insane garbage traffic because ALL roads going the way we needed to go were blocked off for the NYC marathon. NINETY MINUTES to go 3 miles and all I had to play on the stereo was Ariana Grande. We needed a drink, so we parked in the first spot we could find and walked into Zombie Hut. First order of business was to take a ridiculous piss, which went well. Second task was to get a Spicy Cucarita Marg and a Skinny Colada. Both were delicious. I'd like to shout out to the bartender who listened as I whined about our hideous ordeal, she was very nice and got us our dranks ASAP. Great experience overall, will come again. Also they have hot pockets, hell MF yea

The Zombie Hut is a great find in this neighborhood of Brooklyn and the drinks are fantastic! Normally, I wouldn't order a frozen drink because they never seem to do the job, and I get throat/brain freeze! However, the Frozen Zombie is absolutely legit!! Lots of rum with orange and pineapple juice, perfectly blended, made me impressed! The ambiance is really cool here as well! There is ample seating outside and it's like you're in a tiki hut!! When in the neighborhood, I know where I'll be going for another frozen drink!!

Amazing spot- go to the outdoor patio! Drinks are no-fuss, legit... if you are looking for a delicious frozen cocktail or just a good solid wheat or sour ale this is the place. We had the backyard almost to ourselves Just the way we'd preferred before the wafting smells of grilled meat from the adjoining restaurants told us it was time to go. If we'd come on a full belly, we'd sure have 2-3 more rounds. Pricey, private & relaxing. Definitely returning.

Ask the Community - Zombie Hut

Are mocktails available here, and if so, which ones?

This is 21 & up right?

Yes.

What time is happy hour?

Their Cocktails are reasonably priced, so there's no need for a Happy Hour. House Cocktails range from $7-$9. I had Margarita's (top shelf) only $11, not bad.

We went on a Friday night with a party of 3 and did a walk in. That was a risky move and to our luck, the hostess was so sweet and squeezed us in as the last party of the night! This is a must visit when in downtown Brooklyn. We couldn't try the food since the kitchen closed and we were the last to enter but we were able to try 3 drinks and I recommend them all! 1. Donkey Conga ($22) Bourbon and aged cachaça centrifuged with Banana. Followed by Cynar & sweet vermouth. 2. Manta Ray ($22) Coconut cocktail of apricot, ginger, and mint. London dry gin & Haitian Rhum. 3. Star cycle ($18) Shakened milk washed gin, Jasmine, and grapefruit

The stars finally aligned this winter and I had the opportunity to try it out. The vibes are perfect. Fog and bubbles, sea noises and all of the art go together seemlessly. Drinks were great. We had three and left suitably sloshed for the night with no aftereffects. We didn't have too many bites but the food was very good for a bar. I'm excited to go back and I hope we have just as much luck getting in next time.

We had reserved a table outside and called in the morning and afternoon to confirm that we had the table. When we walked in, they tried to put us at the table that was in the room between the main area and the outside area. That room was extremely hot as instead of A/C, they had just 2 fans and also, we would have been bothered by people walking back and forth by us. After calling the manager, they have reluctantly agreed to sit us outside. I think what happened is they had a large party of 30 people outside and probably have given up one of the tables for it. Once we were seated, everything went well. I had coconut shrimp and split hanger steak main with my friends. It was 8 of us so everyone tried different things and loved them.

It tasted watered down. The crab cakes were really soft, a bit too soft so they broke down completely while trying to split and eat. The shrimp taco . Kinda regular nothing special. Half the shell was crispy, other half soft. They were okay enjoyable but for it's price? Not again. Calamari as always is just a classic staple. Nothing to really say about it. It's just something you get whenever you see it on a menu for everyone to share.
