Most definitely my favorite cafe to come to in Auburn. Aside from the warm, cozy vibes you get inside, the baristas are so patient and sweet. Along with the variety of drinks they carry on their menu, they also have a number of great tasting small bites and snacks available for one's enjoyment. p.s- If you like dirty chai tea lattes, I highly recommend it from Zola's!!! As a vegan I was so pleasantly impressed with all of the delicious options. I got a breakfast cookie, mushroom pocket and iced americano - so delicious! The side salad could be a little more innovative, but I like simpler dishes when paired with something like the mushroom pocket with lots of flavor and texture. Ladies behind the counter were very nice and friendly too. If I lived near the cafe I would come here to do work; very cozy vibes and a lovely fireplace. Keep it up! read more

This place was adorable and very cozy! I went a few months ago because they have a lot of vegan options and are frequently adding vegan specials to their menu, which is so appreciated! It did not disappoint! I had the field roast panini which was extremely filling and delicious. The combo of pesto mayo, vegan cheese, roasted red peppers, and the field roast was perfect. They seem to have a handful of vegan and GF baked goods as well. It's definitely worth the drive if you don't live close for a great lunch or brunch. I even enjoyed a walk in the neighborhood afterward on a sunny day. definitely hope to be back soon to try more of the menu and chef's vegan creations! read more

This place is amazing I ran 2 miles to get there and I will definitely do it again, best coffee I have ever had. I have not tried the gluten free bread yet but it sounds amazing. They also have a lot of sugar free options when it comes to coffee it's creamy,rich and fluffy. I definitely love the vanilla sugar free latte. The customer service was also wonderful! My grandma has also been coming here with her friends who also have stomach issues to on and off for years, I have heard that they all loved it. The seating is also wonderful it's nice to look out the windows or sit by the homie fire place. This is my new favorite cafe, I'm definitely planning on becoming a regular here! read more

Today before dropping my daughter at school, she wanted to stop by here and get herself a drink, she walked in and didn't get greeted, as the the male was taking her order, a lady walked in and the male greeted the lady. My daughter ordered and forgot to tell him the size, with an annoyed and irritated look and tone of voice he asked her what size??? Working at any job that's deals with customers you should have passion. And today you really set the tone for her day. Service was terrible, I felt rushed and I had to repeat my order three times because she didn't hear me, not sure if it was because it was loud or because she was trying to clarify. Either way the woman who took my order was not very friendly. My three stars is for my drink, exactly how I wanted it! Got a white chocolate mocha with caramel drizzle, had less ice which I love ! But my friends drink was a blended white coffee white mocha and it just tasted like watered down milk. I definitely wouldn't come back. I really don't like to leave negative reviews, and I am sad to write this one. I was really looking forward to coming here for breakfast because they have vegan options. I asked for a iced London fog and it came out hot. Me and my husband ordered 2 breakfast burritos and found a place to sit. 20 minutes goes by, other people that ordered after us got their food.. 25 more minutes goes by.. still no food. My husband goes up to the counter and says hey we're still waiting on our food and we're told "we'll bring it out to you" Another 10 minutes goes by and then we're told "oh my god I'm so sorry the order never got sent to the kitchen. Well start on it right now!" Okay great, but we're starving.. I'm not one to ask for free stuff or anything but an hour to wait for two measly breakfast burritos? At least a pastry would be nice? It sucks you have to tip before you get your food because this experience has been terrible. I write this as I'm STILL waiting for my food. This better be the best damn burrito of my life. read more

Zola's Cafe was a refreshing higher end coffee shop Steve and I were looking for. The place has a nice, relaxing atmosphere. They have a stage where some nights local bands go there to play. The Chai Tea I got there was very good. To avoid getting caught up on a congested I-5 we decided to eat there as well. We both got the BLT and enjoyed it! It tasted very fresh! They have good pastries too! Zola's is open relatively late for a suburb like Kent and that makes it nice since many other restaurants roll the sidewalks up early. First impression: cute and clean. Great customer service. All their baked goods are baked fresh in house. That's a huge deal since so many order their pastries from other places. I tried the chai tea with added vanilla syrup. It came in a nice 16 oz mug with just the right amount of foam. I fell in love with the first sip. I could've drunk a gallon and it wouldn't have been enough. So good!! The coffee cake muffin was not as successful. It lacked sugar and flavor. It was really dry. But hey, sometimes things are off. My friend had the chocolate chip muffin. Oh my goodness! So moist and delicious! I would definitely eat that again. All in all, this place is awesome! Great location and service. Zola cafe is a small cafe located downtown auburn. I don't think a lot of people know about it, other than the locals, but if you are in the area, it's definitely worth the stop! They have a menu of breakfast/lunch/brunch items such as soups, salads and sandwiches. Also Barry items. Their coffee is really really really good. Big mugs filled with yummy frothy goodness :) They also have live music on Friday nights (I believe) so it's a cute romantic place to come for coffee or dessert and listen to some live jazz :) read more

Zolas was recommended to me by a coworker. And it's auburn secret gem. They have a really laid back atmosphere. It almost feels like you are in Seattle, or another more urbanny/hippie area. We weren't impressed at all - I ordered the baked potato soup but was served the bacon & bean soup (no big deal) and it was too salty for me. I opt for "make a grilled sandwich" - ham. lettuce & mayo. It was good, simple and good. My daughters had the chicken panini and it was okay, nothing spectacular. For dessert I had the cinnamon roll which I found cold and not fresh at all. We also tasted the vegan twix bar which again, it was just okay. The peanut butter cookie on a scale of 1 - 5, a 1.5. What a great place to read, do homework, or meet with friends. I had amazing coffee here and worked for a few hours. They have a lot of seating for individuals or groups. I LOVE Zola's Cafe. We typically go there for lunch a group of us know It's the place to go for a good sandwich and salad combo. The sandwich I get is the Tuna Melt. It's toasted on a panini press and served with a side salad. The salad I get with extra ranch dressing! The ranch dressing is amazing thicker and homemade! The Chai Tea latte is my favorite drink. My coworkers like the Peach tea and Sandwich & Salad combo as well. Typically we'd get the mini chocolate cupcake for $0.65, even when dieting we would always have room for a little cupcake. Then one day we noticed something new to choose from... Salted Caramel Bites (mini cupcake) OH. MY. GAWD! Soooo amazing! In a way I don't want to share this secret because I don't want the rest of the world to buy all my Salted Caramel Bites from there! They are so great though. We typically come 3-4 people for lunch and if there is only 1 caramel bite and not enough for the group to order. They'll bake us some FRESH while we eat our Sammy & Salad. WE LOVE LOVE LOVE ZOLA'S! Zola's has become our favorite local coffee shop and cafe. The brewed coffee and lattes are some of the best we have had and the food selection for breakfast and lunch is impressive, including a nice selection of vegan and gluten sensitive options. The ambiance is quaint and cozy and there is a covered outside seating area is well. The staff at Zola's is always friendly and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner as well. Ordered the chicken panini, eggplant panini, great white pumpkin latte, potato leek soup, and vegan broccoli cheddar soup. First off the focaccia used for the paninis is bomb!!!! The sandwiches overall were very tasty. The eggplant one was very flavorful with the eggplant, olive tapenade, and feta! It was very filling. The great white pumpkin latte was on point. I asked for less white chocolate since I don't like my lattes overly sweet, and the lady who made it did a great job! The potato leek soup was my least favorite. It was lacking in seasoning and flavor. It just tasted like potato water. After adding a few dashes of seasoning from home, it was much better. The vegan broccoli cheddar was ok too. Zola's reminds me of Friend's 'Central Perk' coffee house (in a way that is). They have a fireplace and a sofa. I went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Ordered 1/2 turkey sandwich with soup, and tea (Mediterranean, I think). Turkey was surprisingly good; while soup was very steamy hot and had no taste. Tea was refreshing. Service was average, and slow considering number of customers in there at the time. My order was sent to another table before it came to me. Zolas is a cute place the first time coming I loved the decor. I live nearby and come to it often to work on my computer. From my experiences customer service sucks. Like the ones that are nice do not look happy and seem fearful like if they make a mistake they might get yelled at and the ones that are mean or unkind have literally no customer service skills. Also if they make mistakes which they have they still charge if you want the correction. This has been a shock for me since I've been in the industry before which is why I'm a great tipper. It just sucks that such a cool place has no customer service at all. It seems like the new management might be rough because it's reflecting on their staff who seem timid , rude and unhappy. The food is ok I haven't had anything there that was amazing. The drinks are good depending on who makes it. read more

I used to love this place, so I suggested it to a friend. We went on a slow, slow Saturday afternoon, and paid for our beverages. 5 minutes later, no one was making them or doing anything near the espresso machine. A lady was washing dishes, a man was cooking, someone else was cleaning. We both walked over to the bar to wait, and no one noticed us. After about 10 minutes, the lady brought us our drinks with no apology. I would have been embarrassed too. We won't be back. read more

My favorite cafe in the Auburn! Beats any place I've tried in Covington, Kent, or Federal Way, so well worth a drive. The coffee is Caffé D'arte so it is a darker stronger roast. Their pastries are all excellent and their cheesecake is seriously top notch. Amanda, their baker, is a gem. Little known fact they will make custom made baked goods. Pricey, but worth every penny. For me what puts Zola's over the top is the atmosphere that Sonia, the owner, has created. It is designed to be a warm, chatty, family atmosphere and it's one you should take the time to enjoy. If you are there to grab a hurried lunch on the run then they are honestly not ideal. But if you have the time to linger it's the prefect spot. I had many client meetings and even a Skype call or two and Zola's worked perfectly as an office away from my office especially during non peak hours. Well worth a stop! read more
