Decently divey. Go for the unexpecting ambiance…read more Or the hometown comfort.. though if you're going for that nostalgia... you're probably not consulting Yelp. I'd say got for the karaoke, but if you do don't pay any attention to the bouncer... he'll likely be standing near the door laughing and making fun. (Was it a friend of his? Maybe? But if it was, it still wasn't a good look for an employee of the place to be beside himself laughing at the "Endless Love" of two people who were at least brave enough (or drunk enough?) to put themselves out there... The bar staff are on the ball. Have a question and they're there to answer, even if they don't know it themselves. They'll find it out. The brews flow, and their selection is enough to please anyone. The entertainment is plenty. Darts... pool... dancing... pull-tabs,... TVs galore. Though, if you're under 21.... don't expect to get in. They'll likely be carding outside the door. (And if you're underage and trying to get into a bar.... dude... come on. Make better life-decisions.)

Q Nightclub is a pretty typical nightclub that features floor to ceiling bathrooms split into two…read moresides (urinals, regular toilets), an upstairs section for what I assume is VIP, a downstairs VIP section, a few tables with barstools to sit at and a decent sized dance area. Something neat I noticed is a giant projector that had rules/guidelines for patrons, and one of them said that if anyone is bothering you to tell one of the guards. There is also someone stationed at the bathrooms directing traffic and making sure the hallways stay clear. I only came here for a special event and I am typically not interested in going to clubs, but it was a fairly good experience aside from the issue with the bartender. I had a great time on the dance floor and most people were friendly. I would rate it a 4/5 if not for her. (Price Range): $50+ (Music): Not bad. The music was in the EDM-Electronic realm, featuring remixes of classic songs. I can't say if this was the regular music because I only came here for an event, so they could've been catering to that specific crowd. (Location): The location seemed decent. There is a parking lot very close to the establishment, but I didn't pay so I don't know if the prices are reasonable. (Drinks): The drink I was given was not good and seemed more ice than anything. However, my friend chose the drink, so it could've just been a drink choice that didn't mesh well with me. (Service): Security was fine, no issues with them. The older female bartender (late 30s to 40s) with straight blondish hair was awful. My friend ordered our drinks and I paid for them. When I got the bill I was surprised because I was charged $20+ for each drink. I do not regularly go out, but I had just gone to another club the night before and the drinks were nowhere near that, so of course I was surprised. These were literally THE most expensive drinks I've ever had in my life, and the fact that dozens of reviews say the same thing should say something. If the value were there it would be worth it, but it isn't. As I'm showing my friend the receipt in a "girl, do you see this?" fashion the bartender starts getting nasty, thrashing her hands in our direction and telling a male patron that "she doesn't know what that is and that she doesn't speak that language". I never spoke to her, nor did we even make eye contact, I was speaking to my friend. So there was no need for her to act like that or even look my way. Furthermore, she became more irate at the tip I left her, which I left because of her poor attitude and the clear price gouging for the drinks. Most would've left her $0. I wasn't given a receipt which was odd, but now I know why. My card was charged for more than what I left her. So I suggest paying cash or to use a card designed only for going out if you do so.

Loved this club. Yes, that's past tense…read more I just received word today that the doors are closed permanently. I'm not sure what to say, as there has been vacillating for some time on whether or not the club stays open. Part of me hopes it's not true, because it's really sh1tty to have to say goodbye to a wonderful pillar I've been visiting loyally and nearly every weekend (sometimes twice!) since its opening. I have a feeling this time it's really shutting its doors, though. That's truly a pity. It really is (was?) a very cool setup, and Tacoma was sorely lacking a legitimate dance club. The owner saw that, and damn, he tried. The *only* thing that bummed me out about the club was that patrons weren't really interested in it as a dance club at all, only as a karaoke bar. Those are a dime a dozen! The club owner had big visions for Tacoma's first dance club, but everyone clamored for karaoke and dance nights were poorly attended. Bummer, since the place was designed for gettin' down, with a generous dance floor and several humongous, wall mounted flat-screen TVs upon which to display music videos, media, and - of course - classic footage of go-go dancers shakin' their groove thangs. *fans self* I will miss seeing a Hilltop dance club with Pride flags, a BLM flag, and other affirming decor. I will miss feeling safe, knowing that the owner stood by his word and did everything he could to make women feel safe there. If ever I told the owner someone was being creepy, he dealt with it swiftly and completely. None of this "well, we talked to him, and we think it'll be okay now, we're gonna let him stay unless something else happens" (which I often hear at other clubs) and expecting the women to deal with a creepster sticking around and us all feeling uneasy for the night. I will miss my little "church". Also, I am sad for a dear friend I made there who cannot drive due to a medical condition, and who had finally found a "home base" within walking distance of their apartment. This is a significant loss to many. Farewell, Go-Go.

Our first time at Eden Club on lovers and friends night. We arrived early, so the female was free…read morebut males had to pay. But after a certain time both have to pay. It was obviously loud, it's a club with great music. We didn't order any food, but we did order some beers. The music was our style, and the place was full. It was such a fun experience.

I recently attended a paint and sip at Eden nightclub. I've been to several paint and sip events,…read moreso I had a fairly good idea of what to expect, and Eden fell short in every aspect. This particular event was a little more risqué, the event would require people attending to paint their buttocks, and then sit on a canvas to make an imprint. Due to the nature of the event, there were obvious concerns about privacy. Attendees were told that there would be privacy screens provided. And that the event would be broken into two different groups, the first group was women only, the second group was open to all genders and would be later. The event for women was supposed to start at 4:30, but due to the person running the event being late, we didn't get started until after five, which resulted in men from the all gender group showing up while women were still unclothed. The bartender was also male, and there were people drinking at the bar that had nothing to do with the event. The door was also left open the entire time so anyone could've walked in. There were zero privacy screens and no staff on hand to help as advertised. The event was $50 which is fairly pricey for a paint and sip and one would assume that a drink would be included in the cover price as it was advertised as a paint and sip. However, there were no drinks included so for $50 you all got was one canvas (even though multiple sizes were advertised) and a bunch of cheap acrylic paint. We were given pitchers of water and washcloths to remove the paint with. This was all done in one big open room so there was zero privacy between any of the attendees or any of the staff. And the place was filthy. Apparently there had been a drag brunch earlier in the day and they didn't have time to clean up so there was plates with food on them left out, the bathrooms were not clean and not stocked. I was really looking forward to this event and I did have a good time with my friends, but I would not attend another event at Eden if this is what to expect.
