I arrived as a walk in to get my nails done for my wedding. I was paired with Nina as my tech. When she asked what I was getting, I told her "a manicure with design." I showed her a reference photo of a French Manicure with pearls. She wasn't sure if the salon had the pearls so she had to go ask. They did have them. She starts the service and I let her know I don't want my cuticles cut, only any hangnails. She proceeds to cut my cuticles anyway. She asked me if I wanted an eyebrow wax, which I declined. She said "don't you want to be beautiful?" I told her my wedding is in two days and I can't get anything crazy done. When it was time for the gel color, she put on a hot pink translucent color which was nothing like the reference photo. I asked do they have something that isn't see-through, like the picture, a standard French tip base color. The manager and another tech come over and try about 5 colors until we find one that matches. She does two gel coats and my French tips. At this point in the service, the manicure looked pretty good. She then got a bottle of nail glue and dotted it straight from the bottle three times on each nail, leaving a string of glue in between each dot and all over the nail. She placed the pearls. Then she put on even more glue next to/on top of the pearls to secure them a second time, leaving my nails a sloppy mess. I asked her if the glue can be taken off in between the nail where it shouldn't have been. She said no. She put on a top coat and applied nail oil to my cuticles and lotion to my hands and arms and rubbed it in. I washed my hands, and Nina checked me out. Had a different person checked me out, I would have felt more comfortable speaking up about not being happy with my results. I paid, went to my car, and looked at my ruined nails. It was almost closing time so I went home. I came back the next morning and showed the manager/owner my nails and he admitted that they didn't look good. He offered to have someone else redo them. I didn't feel comfortable with the salon doing any other services on me and asked for a refund. He stated they do not do refunds, it's their policy. He apologized that this happened but would only offer a redo. I will not be returning to this salon and do not recommend anyone go there. This was a horrible experience for me, wedding or not, and the photos speak for themselves. They'd rather let you leave with poorly done nails than do what is right and refund you your money. read more

Was talked into gel pedicure along with my deluxe gel polish manicure. Tech left the oil dripping down my legs from the pedicure, after not rubbing in and removing excess oil, as I arrived at manicure station & advised her of the issue, she hands me the towel to remove it! Needless to say my rushed through gel polish manicure survived 2 days before chipping, & nails weren't filed neatly. My first time getting a gel pedicure & The rushed trough gel pedicure looks unprofessional and looks like I did it myself! My regular pedicure elsewhere looks much much better! Too mad to even call in. Why would this establishment allow an uncaring, improperly trained tech to work with their clients? Is their approach you win some and lose some? Every time I come here there's an issue. First it was my polish coming off 2 days after I got my nails done, each time. I ultimately decided to switch to powder. The technician explained there were 2 options: one which would need to be soaked off any time I wanted to change the color . The other would not have to be soaked. I asked to go with the second option bcuz I change my color every time I have my nails done. My nails came out great! unfortunately she was out of the country the next time I came so I had to go to a different tech. Upon looking at my nails she informed me that i was given option 1 and would have to get a fill with the same powder or soak of the overlay. I didn't have time to soak so we kept the same powder. This week I reach out to her and asked when she was available. She stated she was booked for the day. I clarified by asking when would be the next day and time she'd be available for an appointment. that was 3 days ago and she still hasn't replied. my nails grow fast so I had to cut them and the overlay is lifting so I made an appointment with another tech this morning. I asked the manager to find the swatch wheel with the specific order I have to use, which he did. Now mind you, When booking an appointment you have to put which service you need in the app. Now I'm told this tech can only do acrylic nails. I'm confused as to why the gel powder option would be under her profile if she can't do it, but whatever... I'm told to sit another booth which I do but the tech comes over, looking at me like she's bewildered as to why I'm sitting in her chair. She asks, can I help you, as if this isn't a nail salon. I tell her the manager told me to sit there so she could do my fill-in. She says she needs to go ask him... Of course I left, and won't be back!!! The shop is clean and the atmosphere is quaint, but getting a mani-pedi is supposed to be a zen moment. I've been frustrated every time I've come here. Please people, do not patronize this location. They are so racist, it makes me ill. I have been going to Z nails for awhile now and here lately, they have been extremely and obvious racist against black people. I saw them seat the white people first no matter how long the black people or persons have been sitting there before them. They give the white people 0-15 min wait time and the black people they tell it's a 35 min wait. The manager that sits in the front, I can't recall his name but he's young. He is responsible for a lot of the racism on that building but, most of the staff are racist. It's sad because black peoples money spends just like white people money. I recently went there for a pedicure. I was attended by an older lady, she literally tortured me, my toes were bleeding when I left. Later I found out that I had contracted an infection on 3 of my toes and I needed antibiotics. Stay away from this place, for your own safety. read more

I have been coming to this nail shop for a while, today was the worst experience ever. The staff that did my nails was so unprofessional and aggressive. When it come to nails as a nail tech you supposed to do what the Customer wants. I ask for a full set the nail tech going to tell me my nails long already so she gave me sns. I constantly had to tell her no gel, which she tried to take it upon herself to do it anyway, then raised her voice at me stating "but it last longer ". That's not what I asked for NO MEANS NO " . I was a customer here for about two years and needless to say, I had to find a new place. The experience is ok if you Li does your nails- but beyond that it's hit or miss. I have always gotten my nails and my pedicure done here. I also got a Brazilian done when I was facing a time crunch and it was actually ok. I can't speak to any of the other services that they offer. I have really had some good experiences but some not so good experiences. I do think that they can nickel and dime you to death, but hey it is what it is. The work can be somewhat outdated as a previous reviewer stated. I found another shop down the street that meets my needs and they have done a good job so far and have been more consistent than Z Nails. read more

Will never return to this place! It's your typical salon where it depends on which technician you see as to how your nails turn out. They tell you to "pick your color" as you walk in the door and try to flip customers as quickly as possible. Not sure they are following all health codes either. Polishes are old and not the best brands I've gone to this place (unworthy of being called a salon) over the past year merely out of convenience and the fact that it's large and I typically don't have to wait. I should have known better and switched long ago. Yesterday was the straw that broke the camel's back. On June 30 I went in for gel nails (typically go every 2-3 weeks and am always a good tipper - 20% min and extra if I get treated well). My nails started peeling off within 3 days. I went back and they fixed those three with absolutely no apology and discussing me rudely and NOT in English btw. By that afternoon, two more had started peeling off. My time did not allow for me to return until Friday July 8. What must have been the manager wanted to charge me a full gel even though she knew I had just been in since she was the one that repaired my nails. She told me it had been 2 weeks and they only fix in one week. I showed her on my mobile banking the date my last purchase was made and she was very rude, saying I showed her too quickly and she couldn't see it. Again I pulled it up and waited until she concurred with the date. A long rant began with the tech I was with and the "manager" who never bothered to get up and was yelling across the place - all of this was not in English. I asked the tech if they could please speak in English (ever seen that Seinfield eipisode?) and she said she would translate when they were done. Really??!! The "manager" then hesitated again and said she had to call her boss. After waiting 35 minutes to even be placed in a chair I waited another 20 minutes for someone to start on my pedicure. half way through my pedicure comes the girl to do my manicure she immediately started stabbing at my cuticles ...she rushed through my manicure didn't scrub/massage my hands or anything after I asked about it she put lotion on them and started filing my nails..my fingers are not that small she files so hard that I start bleeding it hurt so bad she said sorry and continued as if nothing happened..hurried And polished my nails and then walked off immediately don asked for my payment ...I informed him about my finger still being in pain and the only thing he says is ohhh and walks off with my card. I came here couple weeks ago with my boyfriend and got a pedicure. They did an OK job. I came from Fl and have been looking for a awesome nail tech and figured I would give them a try. I came in explained to who I guess is the owner what I would like ( ombré with coffin shaped nails). The nail tech started on my nails and how she was cutting them you could tell she had no idea how to do coffin shaped nails. I tried to give her a chance even letting her try to do the ombré on two nails and she messed up both times. I asked the "owner" if someone else was available who knew how to do what I asked. She asked one nail tech who was assisting someone how long she would be (she replied 20-30 min) then asked another tech (who was sitting in a chair talking to one of the other techs) if she could do it (she replied no not right now). So I asked the nail tech to just cut the nails off and I would be about my way. When I got up to leave the "owner" then says "oh she can help you now". I said no thanks, when you were asking everyone then they couldn't help me but now that I'm leaving it's a different story. They were even going to have the nail tech who was helping someone at the time leave her to come to me. I said I am not going to take her from a customer already getting her nails done.
