At first I thought it was weird buying tickets at concessions, but I thought it was because of the snow outside. Reading other reviews, I see it's common practice. My experience was particularly interesting because I apparently forgot my wallet. I saw a customer service desk and went to enquire if they accepted Apple/Android pay as I did have my phone and didn't want to find out after waiting in the line. No such luck. But the customer service lady was super nice and very patient while she tried to help me purchase tickets online where she was sure the Fandango website took ApplePay. Unfortunately both the T-Mobile and WiFi reception were so horrible that we could not get very far. I finally went over to Starbucks to use their WiFi as they always have a good connection. Only to find out, the website doesn't take ApplePay. Bummer! I gave up hope and went to my car where I finally remembered to use my Tile app to see if my wallet was anywhere in the car. It was, in a hard to find place. The moral of the story is, other than don't forget your wallet, is PLEASE get Apple/Android Pay at your theater. It's super easy to do and very helpful for us wallet forgetters. It's also more secure. 2nd: Please get good WiFi for the lobby area! Sheesh. And even just outside the lobby so we can purchase tickets online. If we have our wallets. But the movie experience was enjoyable at this theater once I got my ticket.

This place was clean and appeared well maintained. The staff person was friendly and efficient getting our wine and popcorn. My wife and I barely made it in time, paying 50 cents for parking at 6:30 on a Thursday evening (after 7:00 meters are free) for the last showing of song of the sea and what a movie!!! I chatted up with the 2 fellows that where running the magic lantern that night and they where pleasant. The theater has a pretty decent stocked concession stand with DOMA coffee (great choice). I liked that the seats aren't in one single long row like typical theatres but are broken up into smaller sections (no more interruptions when other people need to scoot by to use the restroom/leave. The pre-movie ads are actually pleasant and they don't delay the start time of the movie. The theatre has cute lights in the shape of flowers on the ceiling and I believe there are vintage movie posters on the back wall. The facilities seemed clean from what I saw. They don't show the latest releases but do have some recognizable movies (ex: they're showing 80s movies on Tuesdays right now and will be showing Whiplash later this year I think). The Confucius Institute at U of I also screens Chinese movies here sometimes. I only paid $6 for my ticket...very reasonably priced! The audio was a bit too loud (only noticeable when the soundtrack of the movie came on) but other than that, I had a great experience. I'll definitely be back for more shows. Add them on Facebook for the latest updates! Also, you can rent their marquee space for things like birthday wishes, proposals, etc...such a cute idea!

The employees are kind and and helpful depending on what you ask them- some of them are probably under experienced so don't be too hard on them. The movie experience is wonderful as in It's Worth theater ticket. It's really loud but it doesn't hurt your ears. The picture on the big screen is amazing. It is what you would expect of a typical movie theater. Make sure you watch their prices though so you can get a good deal. I believe they offer a senior discount but don't take my word on it.
