I've a lot of issues trying to buy tickets online. I like the theaters and the seating.

I have a serious complaint that I probably should be addressing to corporate regal Cinemas. However the specific cinema that I went to was at Northtown Mall. They have the reclining seats which you are required to select. I was with a group of four other people so we wanted a block of five seats together and we were shown the Screen that indicated what seats were available. Apparently the only thing that was available we're two blocks A and B right up next to the screen. We were told that all the grayed-out seats were unavailable. It was apparent however as we continued to watch the film that the vast majority of those seats were unoccupied throughout the entire film. Following the film I asked the manager about the policy regarding the grayed-out seats that remained unoccupied. The response essentially was "that's how we see it on the screen. when they are grayed out it means they are unavailable: maybe people were no-shows maybe people canceled. All we know is that we cannot change the screen as it appears to us. The first two rows are the least appealing seats from which to watch a film. You are very close to the screen And sometimes it appears out of focus as a result. You have to crane your neck to see properly regardless of Sitting in reclining seats. If this is indeed regal cinemas policy I have no interest in returning to watch a film under those conditions. It becomes less and less a mystery why attending a motion picture theater has become unpopular. Especially since the prices for a drink and a bag of popcorn are so outrageous. I can't imagine a family being able to afford to take two or three children to a movie without breaking the bank. I am extremely disappointed and my desire to never go to another movie theater has been cemented. read more

We've gone to this theater off and on as they have the reclining chairs which my husband likes. However, after this visit....I don't think we'll be going back. My husband was disappointed to find out that he was not eligible (in his 50's) for the senior discount like other local theaters. Bummer. The worst part was that you had to stand in the concession line to pay for your movie ticket. WHAT?? So...there are lines of people ordering drinks and food and we have to wait for all of them before we can simply pay to get a movie ticket. We had some older folks in front of us who chit chatted with the clerk so long that we almost did not get tickets even though we had arrived early to make sure to get a good seat. This theater hasn't improved since my review several years ago. First, the ticket window wasn't even open, and neither was the customer service desk. I bought tickets at the kiosk, which only told me it couldn't print tickets until after my transaction had processed. The kiosk directed me to the concessions stand, where I had to wait in line. When I got to the counter, I had to wait for a manager. I was directed to the customer service counter so the manager could look up my transaction. The manager said they would get paper in the machine, but I would have to wait for someone to run upstairs to get the paper. Then I waited for the paper guy to load the machine. Finally, 5 minutes after movie start time I had my tickets in hand. The whole process was ridiculous. I wish AMC would just hurry up and buy this property and do some employee training. read more

We will never go to this Theater again. Free passes for 4 cost us $15 could only get seats in first 2 rows, what fresh hell is this. Whole theater is empty and you are sent to neck break seats. Soda tastes like barely flavored sugar water popcorn so salty unbearable. Asked managers for reasons why empty seats the explanation was "you could come out of theater and found a manager and asked to be moved to better seats". So now you know what you have to do to get your satisfaction when you spend this kind of money. This is another corporation that survives by paying low wages and part time staffing. I was visiting and it had been 13 years since I had been back to Spokane. It was great to see they upgraded to the reclining seats. The only reason I took a star away from this review was that the staff neglected to clean the back row of theater 7 on Saturday night. There was popcorn in the seats and on the floor. If you choose to have a meal at Chili's or The Mustard Seed prior to the movie, and it is at night, the mall shuts down access so that you have to walk around the building to get back to your car if you parked over there. read more

I was impressed with this theater, the seats were somewhat comfortable and reclined with added pressure. Clean and pristine seating. Went to a 12:50 showing of Lucy, skipped the snacks as I was running behind a few minutes and wanted to catch the beginning (I saw it recently with another friend - and was also late to it as well smdh) but I was able to catch more of the beginning than the last time heh. :| No complaints about the seating or viewing. The bathroom however was a tad older and apparently aren't all too fond of paper towels or the snazzy dyson hand dryers but the ones they had did the job. Maybe I'm a hand dryer snob? read more

I go to this theater on occasion and it fits the bill for a movie theater. I do enjoy the upgraded seats which are larger and recline. There are two reasons why I prefer other theaters in town, namely the AMC downtown. First, the concessions line at this theater tends to take a long time. When I was there today, I waited almost ten minutes to get some Popcorn and a soda and then another ten minutes after the movie to refill my drink. The theater was fairly busy, but the lines at concessions weren't deep enough to warrant a 10 minute wait each time. Second, the bathrooms were not as clean. The restroom I went into today smelled of urine and there was a puddle of liquid on the floor in the corner by the urinals. Additionally, the trash bin was over-full and there were paper towels all over the counter. I know it's hard to keep restrooms clean all the time in a busy theater but this, in addition to the slow concessions lines, makes me want to watch a movie somewhere else. read more

A great movie theater. But it does mean a price adjustment on food items. Only free refill drink if the largest and most expensive cup and you get one refill and that's it. The cost of the tickets are there the cost of food and drinks are way overpriced. I have seen some of those candies and such app stores or couple dollars and they charge tripled the amount. First of all, this particular theater is reserved seating only; which is cool, except they charge you extra to pay online. OK, go stand in line. Guess what? This theater is easy to get to (right at the corner of Division and Wellesley), free to park at (in the mall parking garage), and relatively crowd-free compared to downtown. I like the convenience of this location. And the free parking in the mall is a big plus. That alone will make me drive a little further than to the AMC at River Park Square. I don't mind that this is a smaller theatre with only 12 screens but what I wasn't wild about was that the screens seem so small. Other places I've been have much larger screens. And my girlfriend and I were a little annoyed when the sound completely cut out on the movie for a minute or two. But the employees were very friendly and it was pretty quiet when we were there. Despite that they put in the NEW leather recliners, which were comfortable by the way, they did not have the decency to clean them. I even I have to wipe off the popcorn and the soda spill off the brand new leather electric recliners. I'm really hoping, for that reason, they were cutting employment just so they can install those new chairs. I love going to the theaters to watch a movie, but is usually a rare occasion financially. In the past, my least favorite part of going to the theaters is watching the previews because they are typically innaproprate, annoying, and personally unnecessary. But yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to see no innapropriate, horror, or terrible previews. I ordered tickets through the app and it somehow selected a location in CDA instead. I didn't realize until we got to the theater and I order tickets through the app at least once a month so never thought to check the location since I do it so often. I'm a crown club member and I usually enjoy my experiences for the most part. When I found out the error I asked them to refund my money for ticket and points since I used points for tickets. The manager stated she could not refund my money and I would have to drive an hour away to that location to get a refund or I could pick another movie to go to which were all inappropriate movies to take me children to. She didn't attempt to do anything except shrugged her shoulders. I left the theater called customer service and they immediately refunded my points and my money. Thank God I did not take her word for it and waste 2 hours of my day driving for a refund. Regal you need to educate your employees. Especially your managers! How could she he so misinformed and not attempt to find a solution. If she had great customer service skills she would have tried to call the other theater or customer service for me. How can you expect your employees to have good customer service if this is their example. Also, giving the ability for a manager to give a refund no matter what location would help. However, with how misinformed she was maybe she did have the ability to but just didn't care. This manager lacked compassion, customer service and managerial skills. I hope she and the rest of this company learns how to better come to resolutions instead of just shrugging their shoulders! read more

I don't know how anyone could ever give this theatre less than a5. Just because you dint like a particular movie doesn't reflect back at the theatre. This theatre has to be one of the best in Spokane, as it has reclining seats that are very comfortable. Their surround sound is one of the best. We took the whole family for a fun time watching the new star wars movie. The customer service was very busy and took a 10 minutes to get any help. When we bought pop corn and drinks for the children with our points, we were charged for two blue rasberrys and we only got one, we were charged twice for a pop corn, once with points and once when we had to pay for other pop corn. because I had to pay twice the first one we got points and the second one they did not put the points on the transaction. it took 15 minutes at the counter to get the pop corn and drinks. Regal, you employees are very poorly trained, your service is very bad at the counter, and they charged me twice for items I bought. Booked us wrong time movie at the window. We were sitting in seats at 4:15. Our tickets were printed for 7:15 which we could not see in the dark. Another couple was booked for that time. Made us leave without moving us to plenty of empty seats. Movie hadn't started yet. They tried to give us free passes for another day. We finally were given our money back after being treated like criminals. We will never be back after Cheryl gave us the worst customer service I've encountered in a very long time. Not a bad movie theater. You can park on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the Southwest parking garage and walk across the sky bridge straight to the theater entrance, which is convenient if you are going to the movies in your basketball shorts and old ymca shirt/PJ's. Regal Northtown is what it is -- a decent mall multiplex. We were there on Christmas to see Les Miserables. Prices for concessions are high, but not outrageous when you compare to other theater chains. HOWEVER, I noticed that they were actually charging $1.50 for "gourmet" popcorn seasoning. Didn't need any, as I wasn't having popcorn (instead shelled out $3.50 for a "latte" from a machine that made a whole bunch of other things besides), but that seemed pretty outrageous. What's next, charging for salt, or butter? This does not bode well for the future. If you don't care about the concessions, though, it's fine as far as the movie experience goes. read more

I never really leave reviews but this time really got to me! My two sister and dad and I went to go see birds of prey last night. We live in the valley but we like the seat on the north side better. We got to the mall early and got something to eat. Then went to buy our tickets there was a showing at 6:50. We got there at 6:20 to buy tickets and was informed that there was no showing of the movie at that time. I held up their website that clearly showed there was. We were directed to a manager. She informed us that because they would make more money on a special event they canceled the showing at 6:50 that morning but had not taken it off their website. We had been waiting to see this movie all week! She tried to sell us ticket to the next showing at 8:20 which is too late cause we all work the next morning. All the manager had to say was we should have bought tickets online and then they wouldn't have canceled the showing. Like it was all our fault that we didn't call and double check if the movie was still going to play! She absolutely did no care that our night was ruined. Also told I couldn't get a refund on the points I redeemed to use for one of the tickets. Overall very disappointing and a bummer of a night. I know most of the employees have no control over most of this but I wouldnt feel the need to review if we were treated at all respectfully. Nothing even attempted to be done to compensate us. I am treated much nicer at the amc when there are mix ups like this! That's where we will going next time for sure. Worth having to pay for parking not to feel like this! read more

I think this reserved seating is the dumbest thing they are doing. What always worked was " first come first serve " I went there and got seated then someone else said it was their seat and clearly both our tickets said the same thing, I then had to take extra time to speak to the manager who apologized for the mix up and told me he couldn't get us in to the same show it was " full". I got angry and explained I hardly ever take my teens to a one on one movie and that I was paying for the kid place in the mall to watch my 3 younger kids so I would appreciate getting in to this showing.
