Today we were moved by the most professional, courteous, fast, and friendliness movers we have ever hired. Danny, Nate, Damian, and Shaun were absolutely amazing moving our very heavy furniture from one 2 story home to the next two-story home. They paid special attention to wrap and safe guard our valuables as well as took great care in making sure nothing was dinged or scratched. I've used these guys in the past for moving and storage. First time everything was great. My container was wrapped and everything was nice and clean. Second time they did not wrap my storage container. All my furniture and boxes were covered with dirt. I gave away a $2000 sofa because it was filthy from storage and covered in black dirt stains. Only positive I'm giving is for the movers. Bunch of great guys, very professional, super cautious of everything and they even assembled my bed. Will I use zippy shell again, not likely. read more

So, the fact that they stacked the shell poorly and placed heavy items on top of a desk as well is not the fault of Zippy Shell in Vegas??? Who's fault is it then? Take a look at the pictures--the items are still in the shell that they packed in Vegas! This was from April 15, 21..Worst service ever!! Their employee's caused damage to my items. They were purposely damaging my items, as the more I asked them to be careful it was as it they were being spiteful. By 1 employee in particular Sean he would walk past me but almost slam into me throwing trash and rolls of tape around inside my house, acting like a child throwing a fit. They dragged my furniture into the pod wearing right thru the brand new moving blankets I bought creating holes all over that uncovered the furniture causing drag marks all over the furniture and even broke the corners off of my antique dresser. My furniture is all destroyed along with my 60" Plasma Tv they tore the rca jacks off the back and Tv will no longer work, I can't replace the Plasma Tv nor can you buy them any longer this alone is several thousands of dollars. ***DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE HIRING*** If this company could be rated negative 5 stars they would be. We hired them for a long distance move and it was all a mistake. Brian (who can talk a good game) will be very inviting, "compassionate," and "understanding" but in reality it's all a money game, nothing about customer service once you've already signed your contract. They do not come out to your home to do an estimate based on the things you have (as 2 other companies did that we were looking into), they ask a couple basic questions as in square footage of your home, how many bedrooms, bathrooms, and a quick run down of the things you own. Brian then says, "2 pods is typical for a 2000SQFT house and our house was 1600SQFT" Okay. 2 pods it is as we trusted what Brian was saying due to having no experience with a long distance move. The first truck gets to our home at 1 (our first window was between 8-12 and I understand things happen so okay). The 2 movers come inside and we give them a run down of everything and they're ANYTHING but pleased. Jesse Orozco (one of the movers) then went outside to his partner and began cursing, "The other fucking team should have this job." (Professional). They then proceed to say they do not believe all of our things will fit in 2 pods. After this mess I call Brian to explain what was said and my concerns. Brian's excuse was, "Well I am sorry. They have had a long day." Great. We all have jobs. You sign up to do a job and you do it, if you don't like it then don't do it. No excuse. They finish and the 2nd truck arrives. That was the only relief because the 2nd crew (the supervisor goes by Tarzan and Damien) were absolutely amazing. They were friendly, efficient, and understood our frustration and made every effort to fit what they could in the 2nd pod but then comes the end. Everything did not fit. $7500 for 2 pods and now we need a 3rd one. Brian is called to discuss our options. Brian explained because Corporate was closed (they're eastern time and we're mountain time) he cannot properly assess how much the 3rd pod would be. IF YOU ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK AND ARE MOVING AT ALL HOURS WHY IS CORPORATE CLOSED IF THEY ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN APPARENTLY PROVIDE PRICES?!? So now I am stuck with a lot of my things still sitting in my garage and cannot get a price on a 3rd pod from Brian. I explained to Brian (and also did in the beginning) that we are on a time crunch and need to be at our new home BY WEDNESDAY with a 19 hour drive. This move has now taken 8 hours at this point. We ordered the 3rd pod (blindly) because we needed our things as we had a whole garage to still pack. Needless to say, the 2 other companies who took their time to come and assess the house properly would have been a much better option. Do not let Zippy's price fool you. You will end up paying more and you will be stuck with no efficient help, just a bunch of "apologies." Never again. Ever. This is an update for the call I received from Brian due to this review. He (again) apologizes. Great. That provides me no help, it's done at this point. He then proceeds to tell me he believes a 1 star rating would be in order if things were delivered broken or damaged. I explained to him that's his opinion and not mine, that is not out $10,000 and that's money in his businesses pocket so this call was meaningless. The reason You don't pick guys from the street and hire a company is because you expect better service and appropriate insurance. I was told by the owner that insurance is by weight. So if they damage a Christofer Guy's mirror which cost several thousand dollars their insurance will only pay you few dollars according to its weight. They damage a couple of my items during a local one mile move and the owner offered me 50% of the value with the condition that I won't post the truth on social media and won't file an insurance claim. In addition they are quite expensive and take their time to finish the work since they are charging you per hour. I don't recommend this company. read more

My elderly in-laws had a move pending the Covid19 pandemic. With that in mind, we've all been cautious with their health. I was shocked when the first crew of 4 men arrived. These were four people who believe it's their right to not wear a mask during this time. Albeit that is their choice - it was our choice to contact Brian, who owns Zippy Shell Las Vegas. Long story very short, Brian accommodated our request for a crew who would wear masks. Perhaps we should've made the point when scheduling. You that phrase when you "assume". Regardless, Brian's masked crew did an amazing job. They were rewarded with generous tips, sports drinks, candy bars, and as many fresh air breaks down the street without their mask as they needed. First time using storage, we had a flood in our 3 car garage. We noticed it on a Sunday and it was a mess! I looked and called around to get a storage unit because everything in my cabinets was soaking wet. Brian answered the phone in within 3 hours I had a real cool storage unit at our house. I loaded it up took a couple days. I called and they promptly picked it up. 5 weeks later I called after all the water remediation was done and they brought our belongings right back home. CAUTION! Only use this company if you are moving within Southern Nevada. As long as you are in Brian's "territory" you will receive wonderful service, If I could separate this he would receive 5 stars, out of state, 1. Sadly, once your things are out of his area HE CAN NO LONGER HELP YOU AND CORPORATE DOES NOT CARE. At the very least make sure you personally speak with whoever is contracted on the other end to receive and hold your possessions, making sure to get every detail in writing. I chose to self pack, had zero damage to my items and to Zippy's credit, they did arrive much cleaner than other moves with professional moving companies. (The secret to items not breaking seems to be in making solid vertical layers or walls all they way to the top, think Tetris! Also frequently cross tie downs to the sides in a rotating "x" if that makes sense.) The problems came on the other end when all of a sudden nothing I had been told in earlier phone calls was correct. First, I was told there would be no additional fee for changing zip codes as long as I stayed within 100 miles of the delivery "hub" only to be told later there was a $25 charge even though it was less than 60 miles. Then I had clearly been told I could have my items delivered any day of the week except Sundays, then that switched to they would not deliver on a Saturday either and I was to give 3 dates, for them to choose from. I had been told I would have 24/7 access to my things while they were held in the climate controlled storage, now that was wrong. I could only access my things during business hours and for a $50 fee each time. (This was when I got the panicky sick feeling wondering if I would ever see my children's baby photos - or 90% of our things ever again) They were, however, kind enough to call back a few hours later and say they would be happy to deliver on a Saturday - for an additional $250. (What's the definition of extortion?) When my things finally arrived I asked the man with the clip board if he was the one in charge his answer was "I can be if you want me to be." Please understand, the issue wasn't solely one of money or convenience, I have a family member who is high risk and with the Pandemic the last place I wanted them was in a Hotel. Not knowing if someone in the former home owners family had been sick with Covid my plan was to go bleach out our new home before my family member arrived. That was my Zippy Shell experience. Jesse and Danny were the two guys who handled the 'unload only' project for my move in. It was nice of them to wait for me since I was driving in from another state. When I arrived they introduced themselves. Seeing the car tow, they began discussing the hows and wheres. I really appreciated them assisting with the car tow hitch. They were faster at it than the place I had rented from! Also reassembling the bed frame took time. No tools with them... but guess what?! I had a box of inherited tools that came in handy. The frame is old with unique parts and missing/broken pieces. The guys were so careful to still assemble everything as if they had all the pieces. They were even considerate enough to suggest I have them center the frame in a preferred location because of the circumstance, before they carefully placed the box and mattress. These guys are quick! Or it could be that Jesse is tall so his steps take less time. Items and boxes are placed wherever I wanted. But even when I was doing research on the moving companies out here, Zippy Shell was one of the first to respond and provide details. TIP: It helps to give the movers refreshing cold water bottles, especially for summertime moves in Las Vegas. Yelp search filter: Movers, 5 stars, Las Vegas NV. Call for pricing: minimum hours, how many workers needed, any one time fees, inquire what is included, and provide details (especially for pianos) - so they can determine the best number of workers. They're business is more formal than I have encountered. No cash payments accepted only card, and there is a service agreement. I definitely recommend this company. So finding a way to streamline and elevate stress during moving was what I was searching for, and Zippy Shell provided that. The crew, Ray, Alexander and Daniel arrived early, and they all greeted me and family with a smile and positive attitude. They jumped straight to work, and every once in awhile would ask some clarification questions, and that assured me that they truly had customer care in mind. If I could I would give this place 0 stars. We had three male movers today- as soon as they arrived they were incredibly rude. From start to even after we tipped them- very rude and had an attitude about everything. They complained that they had to move our boxes upstairs and that we didn't bring them down FOR THEM. They made a comment when I tipped each guy $20- one of them said "oh great" and rolled his eyes. They made comments under their breath the entire time and anytime we asked for help or a favor made it an issue. I will never recommend this company to anyone or ever use them again. They made us feel like we were an inconvenience for them. When WE HIRED this company to move for us. I am livid by this experience! Do yourself a favor and hire another company to move you. This has been the WORST moving experience / customer service we have EVER experienced. Don't trust this company. They didn't wear masks the entire time, even once they arrived and after we asked for them to wear them- they still didn't. Wow such a horrible experience, which was unexpected given that the owner Brian Linsey had spoken to me and assured me great service. 1) The movers never showed up on my move out date! It was a super stressful scramble to get on the phone for many hours and make sure that Bellhop, who Zippy hires out, rescheduled me. They said they weren't going to reschedule me in time for when I needed to be out of my home. I understand Zippy cannot control Bellhop, but Zippy needs to figure it out if the movers never show up, especially when people have hard deadlines to move out of their homes. 2) I was charged for storage because they never indicated in their computer that my belongings were delivered. 3) When I called to get this refunded Ashley told me that she had to first verify with the warehouse that my belongings were in fact delivered. I explained to her that I was of course living with my furniture and clothing. 4) I am still waiting for my refund from being charged for storage when my items were already delivered. Bottom line, the price may sound good, but it is NOT WORTH IT. Working with Zippy Shell has been one of the most stressful and incompetent experiences I have had with a moving company (and I have moved many times in my life). read more

The only reason that I did not give this a five star review is because once my belongings left the state all bets were off. I needed to store my items for a month while waiting for my new house and Zippy Shell had the perfect solution. I can't remember everyone I have interacted with for the past two moves, but John, Ernie, Jesse, Lance, and two other gentlemen were absolute professionals. We had some tough demands of large items going to the second floor with some almost impossible twists and turns, and they made it all possible. These people belong in jail. I used them regretfully for a move from one storage unit to the other. They brought movers that had zero experience. Right in from of me they smashed the top of an Arteriors table. Things break so I let that go and tipped generously. I went back to my storage unit and to my horror that had put things like a table saw in a box with dishes and a power washer in a box on top of a table that it broke through. I phoned and was told by the lady that answered the phone that I had to take responsibility for my own boxes. I had nothing to do with those boxes. She told me she was right they were perfect. I've moved many times and have never experienced such deplorable behavior. She mentioned she had my contract with my signature. It was forged of course as has happened on far to many occasions during this COVID nightmare. The concept is genius. Deliver a pod to your house and have it delivered to your new place. No moving stuff into a truck, into a storage facility and then out again. Saves a lot of work. I ended up getting 3 pods for a 2800 Sq foot house. I also purchased locks from them directly for each pod. They have a lot of options in regards to items you can rent for moving. I rented some blankets for my furniture and they were delivered with the pods. The problem I had with the pods was the scheduling. It was an all day process waiting for each pod to get picked up and another one delivered. So we ended up sitting around a lot waiting for each pod. I had a problem with the final delivery as the owner thought I only wanted one pod delivered on a sat, when I thought I would be scheduled for all of them. It split my final move into two days instead of one. They did bring me 2, but I waited until the next morning for the final pod. Miscommunication. The owner did his best to accommodate me even with the communication issue. read more

So. We had friends who rented a Zippy shell as they were moving in with family for 3-4 months waiting on their new house to become available and packed it themselves. They paid a delivery fee 89$ and a monthly fee 169$ and it was dropped off, loaded over the course of a day, and zippy shell hauled it off. Months later when my husband and I called to do the same thing, we were offered movers. Same price mentioned above plus 20$ extra a month for 5k of insurance and 299$ for movers to move and load our zippy shell (which we thought was an add on we preferred as opposed to our friends). one 15 ft zippy shell should work but he was open and willing to bring us a second one if need be. There was only one disassembled king sized bed, one 3 piece sectional, one disassembled crib, one dresser, one chest, two nightstands, one oversized chair and ottoman, and a good amount of boxes. Upon arrival, they informed us we'd need two units. Mind you, first unit out the door was 577( delivery - 89 , insurance 20, first month 169, and movers 299. The movers told us one zippy shell holds two rooms of furniture like just the nursery and the master, not a 2 bedroom home. So we call HQ and he tells us it will be another 575 for another storage trailer. Luckily, for the well paid movers, they are paid by the amount of trailers they fill so while it may seem like the price is strong, they are the best movers I've ever seen. The movers provide a white glove service if you will, really hard working men. They moved all of our stuff into both trailers in 2.5 hours BUT you mentally run through the anguish of renting your own truck, a self storage etc for all of the leftover unpacked things that don't fit into the first one and the convenience outweighs the cost. fortunately when I looked at what we'd be paying monthly for two zippy shells, a month for 30 feet by 6'4 feet of storage is average. We could've hired a different moving company and rented self storage it would've been harder on our bodies and our wallets. But I will say. Because all of our belongings are now safely wrapped inside a zippy shell and at their warehouse, I will still utilize their movers for moving into our new house when we're ready to unload both zippy shells. As for their movers - 10 out of 10 Their cost is fair so if you aren't a fan you can do your research but you won't find much better and it was done fast and well. read more

So I had to find movers for my older parents from PA to south FL. I live here in Las Vegas so logistically this was going to be a nightmare. After personal experiences with other pod-like movers and self moves, I called Zippy Shell hoping it would be a better experience and I'm glad I did. I was impressed when I called and Brian himself answered, What!?!? What company does that? I felt like the company cared and I wasn't just another customer. He was patient, calm, and explained the process. He always responded to my questions and concerns. I felt like he had my back throughout this process. I was able to set up the move, movers and delivery from my home out west. The movers showed up ON TIME and were very courteous and professional according to my parents. The company was in constant communication with me via e-mail and texts. The window of time given for delivery was honored. My parent's items were picked up in PA and delivered ON TIME, per the contract, to their home in FL. I am very impressed with this company. There was one issue with the contract that might be viewed as somewhat ambiguous, but to the company's credit, they did right by us. Do your due diligence and read the contract carefully. Ask about fuel surcharges and what is considered storage or not while your items are on the move. My parents where happy and if they were happy I was happy. Expect hiccups, moving sucks, but Brian and Zippy Shell made this move the best possible experience it could be. To customers that are looking to make moving as least painful as possible, please really consider Zippy Shell. Their prices were EXTREMELY competitive and their customers service outstanding. We were in the process of buying and selling and had to move out of our old house before the new house was ready. Contacted Zippy and got a quote from Brian that was very reasonable. Compared to PODS, Zippy Shell provides a more personal service and is way more flexible than PODS. We're very happy that we've found Zippy. Brian has been very flexible throughout our moving process and was able to schedule the dropoff of both containers on the same day in a short notice and had the crew come out on a Sunday to help us move. Jordan was very sweet and so was Josh( I think that's his name??). I didn't get the other mover's name. He is a little older but worked very hard and was very friendly as well. The whole crew was very respectful and friendly, just like Brian, the owner. We originally booked two containers through Zippy because we were not sure if all of our furnitures would fit into one. We asked Zippy to load only one container as there wouldn't be much left after one is loaded. The crew helped us move all the heavy items and tried their best to fit almost everything into one container (you should see the inside of the container, it was nicely packed that every single space was effectively used). Although we had to use the other container in the end, but they saved us so much work moving all the heavy items. We had barely any furniture left to move. They accidentally damaged the backboard on one of the dressers. We spoke to the supervisor for the move on that date as well as Brian and when they returned to help us move in, they fixed the minor damage as if it was never there! I would definitely recommend Zippy to all of my friends and co-workers! You guys made our move so much easier. read more

Terrible experience! We packed, labelled everything and paid $700.00 to have the Zippy shell people load 2 shells in Las Vegas. We tipped them very well too. However, when we unpacked, we discovered they had switched many of the labels. At first we thought it was our mistake but not so many mistakes, especially since we packed over several weeks, packing and labeling each box before moving on to the next. We could finally identify which had been switched - the labels were slightly damaged. As a result many of the delicate items were mislabelled and got damaged We are in our 60s and they probably thought we would think we made mistakes. They are wrong. We are neither senile nor befuddled and hold good jobs in senior management. Shame on them for causing difficulties for older people. They should not forget that they will grow old one day too. Besides this, we had been given a final quote for the service - and specifically told no other amount would be added - I asked. We were not provided with a contract, only a work order (when I asked, we were told there were no other documents) and were hit with additional charges of several thousand dollars when delivery was due. They refused to deliver until we paid the additionl amount. We finally had to go to Better Business Bureau to have the matter resolved. Zippy Shell is definitely the more affordable moving option out there for long distance moves. The customer service all around has been top notch as well. My move was complicated by several factors. First, the day I was scheduled to load my shell, my brother had flown into town to help me with the manual labor. Unfortunately, it was incredibly windy that day, and we physically could not do the work because the cage door kept slamming shut on us. This would be the only negative thing I could say about Zippy Shell's, especially when it's so windy in Las Vegas. While you can secure the outside door to the shell open, there is no way to secure the inner cage doors. With already scheduled travel, I had to push back my shell delivery for about 2 weeks later. Unfortunately, I tested positive for Covid the day before the shell had to be delivered again, but I just had to push thru this time, as I needed to be out of my house. Where I had planned to only take a day to load, Covid slowed me WAY down. I cannot thank Lance A enough for being so flexible an communicative with me throughout this. Lance delivered and picked up my shell both times. He was detailed in how to load items, how to latch the door properly, etc. When it came time to picking up the (finally) loaded up shell, and me constantly pushing the time back a few hours at a time (because Covid), Lance remained very flexible.
