I will forever be so grateful for the kind and loving souls at Zippivet Kyle! We had a previous vet my family went to for years. Every decision with our pets we were judged, scolded, and had a very traumatic experience there. They told me my dog was a bad dog. They said he was aggressive and needed a muzzle. We had never seen ANY negative behavior from him. They never let us in the office. I was TERRIFIED of vet offices. I felt like me and my dogs were not safe in vet care. Then... I tried Zippivet. They allow us to come in with our dogs. They remember our dogs and seem to truly love and care for them. They are always willing to work with us financial wise and find the cheapest treatment. My husky LOVES this office. He's so happy here and loves giving all the employees hugs and kisses and they are all so sweet and take awesome care of him. He didn't even notice any of the vaccines they gave him!! He is his usual calm, playful self here. They have helped our picky underweight dog become a healthy strong boy. I cannot say enough positive things about this place. I zippivet and so does Drax the destroyer . If you are in the area and have pets I 10000000% recommend you trust these amazing people with your animals. They are in good hands here. Every employee is smiling and seems to truly love their job and all the animals. Also I'm very confused about the negative reviews, they do give quotes prior to appointments upon request and we have been struggling financially and they always help us out with that side of things.

Our 15 year old cat and our 5 years old poodle!

I first took our Poodle to ZippiVet earlier this year when her ears got infected. The vet we'd been going to for 2.5 years wouldn't "fit her in". At ZippiVet all of the staff were so friendly with her and I, and one of the vet techs even volunteered extra care by doing some specialty poodle ear-care for me! They followed up afterwards to be sure she got better! Then last month our cat accidentally got outside and was attacked by feral cats, he was in really rough shape! ZippiVets staff took wonderful care of him in a series of 8 visits over 2 weeks. They knew him by name, made followup calls after his visits to check on his progress or continuing needs. We are SO happy with our pets care at ZippiVet! Definitely do recommend them! This picture was taken last night, you can see kitty is happy and healthy again

After being turned away by three vet offices for not accepting walk-ins, ZippiVet quickly and compassionately took care of our cat who had blood in her urine. A HUGE shout out to the mvp of that office, Camille! From the minute I called their office until my husband and I walked out with our cat, Camille was kind, knowledgeable, understanding, and modeled the kind of customer service every other clinic we went to severely lacked. She even called me right before the office closed to check on how our cat was doing and to see if any questions or concerns had come up for us since we last talked. Above and beyond!!! The vet we saw, Dr. Eliot, was great and handled our sassy ball of fur with expertise. Thank you ZippiVet in Kyle and THANK YOU Camille!

I am very protective of my pets so when I say that I am 10000% comfortable leaving my babies in their care having never met them is HUGE! They are not only very communicative with every step of their exam, process, treatment, and follow up. But whenever we tell our furbies they're "going to the Doctor" they get as excited as if I told them they're were going to see their grandparents. Thank you to all of you @ Firehouse Vet for taking such beautiful care of our darlings! You folks truly are in it for the betterment of the animals!

It was a little while ago that I wrote a really great post for this amazing veterinary group. The…read moreonly reason we had left was because it's hard to manage prescriptions when you have more than one dog that needs prescriptions It was very confusing. What I wanted everyone to know is that about less than eight weeks later we returned we felt so good to be home amongst family because that's what these guys are. They're not just some people that take care of your dogs. They become your family. They look out for you and your pets. With all their heart, they love each and every patient that comes in. They are treated with respect and such loving care. I now know why the Lord directed us back besides the fact that we miss them. It was because our seven year-old Doberman Zeus was going to pass unbeknownst to us. He was coughing all night and it was just clear fluid and he was bringing up so I know it wasn't his stomach. I figured it was his heart cause I have 26 years of medical training. We got to the vet ASAP first thing in the morning. They were waiting for us immediately took Zeus in and the doctor came in within five minutes. His name is Dr Raines, and he is truly exceptional among his peers. he listened to his chest and within seconds he's like somethings not right. I gotta take him to x-ray his heart. So he did that and he also I believe did a sonogram as well. He came back 10 minutes later with the look on his face and I already knew I knew it I had ventured in my thoughts that it was DCM. And of course, it was confirmed it was DCM. But he had never had any cardiac problems before, and he was seen by the vet at least twice every six months just for follow ups. It was hard for me because my husband left me to go to a special meeting session with his company and he was three hours away. I am disabled and use a walker. When all of this started happening, the wheels in my mind started to spin a hour. I was gonna do this by myself. We have a 800 foot driveway. anyway, I called my husband to let him know. I walked with the walker down a steep driveway and managed to get in the truck with no problem. I then drove the truck up to the front door because I cannot walk so I am not strong enough. And as soon as I open the door, he jumped right in he was whining, but sometimes he does that in the car. I called the Vet ahead of time and let them know please come out and get him for me and I'll follow them. Reason being I cannot walk Zeus he's 110 pounds of muscle. so like I said they were waiting for us they did the testing we knew the diagnosis. Despite all their efforts and medications trying to get his heart rate to go down, it would not. Two hours later when I got there, my husband had made it and beat me to it. I thank God he did. because what I saw was a dog in agony not the dog that I dropped off. It was within three hours that we got there that we must and had to put him down. Reason being the vet said he's not gonna make it through the day and his heart's gonna give out going into cardiac arrest. It's an excruciating death and I said no then we're not waiting any longer. Let's put the poor baby down. My husband laid behind him on the floor I laid in front of him on the floor, our arms wrapped around him as one just telling him how much we love him and thank you for all that he did. He was also my service dog. I have never had such a close relationship with any other dog except another Doberman that we had that past name Apollo. And I'm really sorry for the long post here, but I want everyone to know how they all came in cause they all loved him one at a time to say goodbye to him, and even Dr. Raines had a tear of running down his face. You see, he was a true gentle giant, and he loved all people he would put his head on the vets lap while he would talk to us. He will never be forgotten and thanks to the kindness of this veterinarian Group. Everything went perfect. He never woke up. Nothing happened that wasn't expected. It takes experience to know how to euthanize correctly. He gave him propofol and after he was passed out that's when he got the second shot. This was on November 11 and then I'm sorry it took so long to put this year but my husband and I are world is still falling apart a little bit more each day. So sorry that I we waited to write this. I want all of you at Firehouse Vet to know how outstanding each and every one of you is you are an exceptional team and you're so loving and it's true love it's not fake to our animals. I think you all for being supportive of us during this time and your beautiful card that you sent. I think I'll stop here because I know this is too long for most people to read. I just had to give them our gratitude. God bless you all.

But, I do tell people not to come to this office, and it's only fair I note why. I brought my dog in for chronic diarrhea. They gave me medication for him and did not test him further, even though he was an older dog. In the few months following, he was still getting bouts of diarrhea. I brought him in on a Friday afternoon. They took SIX x-rays of my dog. They told me that they could see some mild swelling, but weren't sure what it was. They told me I would need to book with their specialist on Monday. That evening, they called me and let me know that they were PRETTY sure my dog did not have cancer and that he would be okay to wait out Monday's appointment. The next day, my dog is acting strange but with reassurance from the vet-- I didn't trust my gut. That night, be projectile diarrheas blood all over the balcony. I rush him to an emergency vet. I get told my dog is riddled with cancer and that they're doing everything they can to keep him comfortable. They tell me I will have to learn how to IV him for his comfort. But, they soon realize that the masses on his kidneys had ruptured and the fluid had reached his lungs. $7k later, I lost my soul dog. I can't help but think that if Republic was more urgent or recommended me to go to an emergency vet Friday afternoon, I would've been able to have at least a few more months with him. For this, I can never forgive this practice or recommend them to anyone.

Well, yesterday we took her again and got her vaccinations and made sure that they knew she could not take the Lepto Vaccine. They gave her the Rabies and Bordetella... within 2 hours our dogs faced swelled, eyes swelled, and she began vomiting. We rushed her back to KAH and they did treat her for an additional charge. Luckily, today is she is much better and the swelling is going down. However, not one time did KAH call to check on her or to see how she was doing. I do not blame the vets office for the adverse reactions, but I do find it odd that the only time she has had reactions to the vaccines was when they were given by this office. The fact they never called to check on her lets me know that they do not care. We will not be coming back to KAH. Love Pet Hospital here we come.

Such is our affection that our friends jokingly suggest they'd prefer to return in their next life as one of our cherished dogs. Recently, we felt the profound pain of losing our beloved den mother 12-year-old Husky. Seeking to fill a void we found a young husky listed on the PAWS website. What happened at PAWS will forever live on as one of the most cruel, confusing experiences of our lives and we worked and lived in Hollywood. We were judged and convicted for being abusive dog owners due to bringing our flight risk, escape artist, three-year-old German shepard, husky mix into their facility wearing training collars. The PAWS representative disregarded our decades of experience and hastily deemed us unsuitable for the adoption. With the passing of our elder husky our three-year-old female is in a state of despair. A puppy at PAWS appeared to be a perfect fit, however they required us to bring our old crippled dog along with the three-year-old. It was 109 in the shade and putting him in a vehicle was not exactly humane, however if this was their policy, so be it. I co-founded the Bill Hicks Foundation for Wildlife Rescue in Austin and on our ranch we feed hundreds of animals, but never hunt. From the snow-covered mountains of California -Colorado and back to our Texas ranch we travel extensively with our pack of snow dogs. One time I was taking our large malamute to the Vet in Studio city, she broke her collar and I chased her almost a mile through fast on-coming traffic. Long story short - I have learned with experience that when transporting dogs that fear strangers, vet offices & La Quinta lobbies, I do everything in my power to make sure my babies don't get hit by a car. When I first arrived at PAWS, I brought my crippled dog in and placed him in a room. I wasn't sure who was in charge or what the agenda was, but we had been promised a private space for my dog to acclimate before the initial puppy meeting. The foster mom for the puppy asked if I wanted to see him. I walked into another room and played with him. Then the PAWS "animal expert" entered the room. Visibly annoyed she said - "Whoa! What is happening? This is not how we do things! I'm so confused" She grabbed the leash. Next my wife brought our scared to death three-year-old into the lobby with people coming & going. The puppy stuck his nose up her crotch as to be expected. Everyone including the foster mom thought the encounter was great. The PAWS expert said "nope - your dog growled this isn't going to work" I thought she was kidding. She was not. She said "the puppy wants to play, but your dog doesn't" I said "my dog is scared to death" Visibly trembling the woman proceeded to lecture me as if I was 5 years old about how using corrective collars has made my dog fearful. I have had my three-year-old since she was eight weeks, she is my shadow, sleeps in our bed, we are inseparable. She lives care free on a ranch with deer, horses, cows and other dogs. As a last-ditch effort, I took the collars off and suggested we walk the 109 parking lot to get my dog away from the confusion. When we went outside my dog attempted to back out of the collar and I was forced to grab her before she ran into traffic. Instead of admitting she misjudged the situation she said "WE ARE DONE" and stormed into the building. After carrying my crippled dog who was now sitting in his own filth and served no purpose by being there back to the car, I pleaded with her. She said "my decision is final, but your welcome to come back and try again" Next day we adopted a young Husky from another shelter, who ironically growled at my 3-year-old during the initial meeting. Back at our ranch they played until passing out, sleeping side by side. At the end of the day, my wife and I hope & pray that the PAWS puppy will find a great forever home and his life can be a wonderful love filled adventure.
