Are you kidding me? She started berating us for getting the dogs teeth cleaned somewhere else. And then she was just very unpleasant to deal with the remainder of the visit. Our little one of 18 years went into heart failure a couple of weeks ago, and her condition steadily declined. With each passing day, the question of when it was time to say goodbye became more difficult. When we thought it might be time, we reached out to CPETVET. We began communicating via email, and during that time, our little one had one more good day. The team kindly shared in that moment with us and encouraged us to reach back out when we were ready. The following day, we knew it was time--she was no longer moving or eating, and her breathing had become shallow. We made the decision to proceed, and Dr. Liz arrived within a few hours.Dr. Liz was incredibly compassionate and understanding, while also clearly explaining the process and what to expect. She showed such empathy for our family's grief, giving us the time and space we needed to say goodbye. This was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but I find comfort in knowing our loved one passed peacefully at home--under our roof, in my arms, surrounded by family.
