But, I do tell people not to come to this office, and it's only fair I note why. I brought my dog in for chronic diarrhea. They gave me medication for him and did not test him further, even though he was an older dog. In the few months following, he was still getting bouts of diarrhea. I brought him in on a Friday afternoon. They took SIX x-rays of my dog. They told me that they could see some mild swelling, but weren't sure what it was. They told me I would need to book with their specialist on Monday. That evening, they called me and let me know that they were PRETTY sure my dog did not have cancer and that he would be okay to wait out Monday's appointment. The next day, my dog is acting strange but with reassurance from the vet-- I didn't trust my gut. That night, be projectile diarrheas blood all over the balcony. I rush him to an emergency vet. I get told my dog is riddled with cancer and that they're doing everything they can to keep him comfortable. They tell me I will have to learn how to IV him for his comfort. But, they soon realize that the masses on his kidneys had ruptured and the fluid had reached his lungs. $7k later, I lost my soul dog. I can't help but think that if Republic was more urgent or recommended me to go to an emergency vet Friday afternoon, I would've been able to have at least a few more months with him. For this, I can never forgive this practice or recommend them to anyone.

They are compassionate and take their time to hear us out and execute the best healthcare possible as needed. Yes can be a bit pricey for some services, but as pet owners we must all look at the future of the health of our pets as they get older and of course unfortunate events that may occur. We took out pet insurance through my husband's work and we also took advantage of their payment options while waiting to get our money back from the pet insurance company. We used scratch pay and were very satisfied with it. We were approved immediately and gave us peace of mind. Recently we lost our beloved Kaipo. We were devastated because we didn't know he had a tumor. Another vet told us that it was probably nothing and not to worry about it. But come to find out it was a tumor and it burst and he had to be put down because he was suffering. He couldn't walk! We brought him to Kyle Animal Hospital where they examined him thoroughly and found the internal bleeding. My fur baby of almost 16 years was put to rest one day before his birth and two days after my birthday. The compassion and the care we experienced with this place was truly heartwarming. It was a time of devastation and sorrow, yet they comforted us with caring and understanding. I take my other fur baby Faith here and my daughter's two cats. They said, I'm sorry, the vet has a really difficult case right now. And I'm thinking, more difficult than death? Then to top it, a woman comes in with the bill, $550 ?!?, which my son paid. My dog had several surgeries with her and Dr. Guzman. We were referred for cancer treatment to another vet but Deep Roots has always been our home vet. Unfortunately, my dog Leo passed away and the Deep Roots team sent me his paw prints and his nose print with a sympathy card, it touched my heart. He was properly diagnosed by the Dr as having pancreatitis. This required two complete days of IV solutions. The doctor's explanation of issues and treatment was so complete. (name changed from this listing to the one indicated above). We found an injured kitten in our yard following a thunderstorm. We couldn't lure her at first, but we bought a rodent trap using a tuna treat as bait and played YouTube mama cat sounds. We named the kitten Grace and quickly noticed she had sustained severe injuries. The skin just below the jaw was literally ripped off giving her the appearance of having her mouth open and an abdominal puncture wound. Something had this kitten in its mouth and somehow Grace survived and ran to our yard.. There are more than one stray in our neighborhood. As soon as we realized the severity of this wound we took her in to the clinic. Grace was in surgery twice and we weren't sure that she would heal up. What Dr. Williams did was impressive. Maybe the Doctor would say it was nothing, but to us we were relieved, even surprised looking at her just a few days later. She is eating and playing as much as she can. This is her story. She is one tough little kitten, and this is one great clinic Without naming any other places this is easily the best vet around here (we've tried a few). We hope the owners and staff get to read this: thank you Docs and Staff! You treated us like no one else. Thanks is not enough. Hugs would be awkward, so we'll just have to post this review everywhere we can.
