However, they have a rule that you're not allowed to contact the driver directly at all. I've never been told not to contact a driver in all the services I've ever used for airport or other pick ups so this seems very odd. They gave me the driver's phone number, but sent me many admonitions never to contact him before during or after the service. I always like to make sure with drivers myself that they understand what time to pick up, that they need to wear a mask, etc., etc. So not being able to do this left me very frustrated and not sure I'd do the service again. UPDATE MGL responded that they only asked me to not contact the driver before the trip. That's not true they sent me several texts that literally say "do not contact the driver before or after the trip" and they went onto continue messaging not to bother the driver as he may be with other clients.

We pre-paid $50 per AXS ticket, so a total of $100, to get a ride from Saratoga Inn up and down the…read morehill from Mountain Winery. The driver left us stranded at the bottom and we watched him come and go. So we paid $20 for an Uber. The driver was 29 minutes late to Saratoga Inn. It was muggy so we sat by the window in the lobby looking out the entire time. We were outside at the advertised pick up time 5:45 pm. The moment we saw the limo bus, which was hella late, we walked to the already open lobby doors and the driver literally didn't stop. He swung around, slowed down for 1/2 second and sped off! Humiliated and embarrased, we RAN after the bus yelling and waving our arms. We had official AXS Mountain Winery shuttle bus tickets! That means Urban Worldwide had our names and knew we needed picking up! Mind you we briefed the desk clerk and two hotel workers that we are on the limo bus and that we need to get on it. At the top of the mountain, we had our Uber driver drop us off to Urban Worldwide shuttle and the driver said he was there earlier which was untrue. He also showed us a text message that he thought was "proof" that we weren't there. This ruined part of the night. We were at the Inn at 5:30 PM ready to jump on the bus. It was creepy weird that we saw him drive up and drive off: It was like he purposely planned to abandon us. We asked him if he could please wait for us after the venue. We were literally at his mercy. He says, "You have 15 minutes!" Not polite. By the way, the website says we have 20 minutes to get on the shuttle. Anyway, afterward, I twisted my ankle and the driver did in fact wait and got us back to the Inn just fine. He didn't acknowledge wrong doing. I've rented a lot of limos and gotten a lot of rideshares. I've never experienced a driver who literally purposefully left us like that. The Saratoga Inn workers were witnesses and we discussed the situation with them. They washed their hands of it saying, "We have NOTHING to do with that limo bus. No connection." Urban Worldwide gets one star for the driver being totally cool on the way down. I don't know if I even want my money back for leaving us stranded during pick up: The company scares me and creeps me out.

Docked one star bc we were 11 minutes over and got charged for a full extra hour (about $175). It probably says this in the contract, but I think a pro-rated rate would have been much more fair.

What you look for in a bus company is to safely and efficiently get passengers from Point A to…read morePoint B. Umbrella Bus barely got our passengers from Point A to Point B, did not do so efficiently, and arguably didn't do it terribly safely. We booked Umbrella for a 54-passenger shuttle to transport wedding guests from our wedding hotel to our ceremony venue, and then from the ceremony venue to the reception venue ($1050 total). I confirmed this itinerary with their staff by email and phone several times (at least three), because they kept sending me invoices that only showed a partial itinerary, but they assured me that they had the correct itinerary written down and would read off the correct itinerary on the phone when I called. On the first trip, the bus driver got the bottom of the bus stuck on a steep hill, rendering it unable to move. Guests had to walk nearly a quarter mile from where the bus got stuck to the ceremony site. The bus was also blocking the entrance to the park where the ceremony was held, meaning that park visitors and several wedding guests who were behind it were severely delayed in getting into the park. We had a couple of guests who missed some of the wedding ceremony because the bus blocked the entrance for so long. It would've been 3.5 stars if only for this, since it wasn't 100% the driver's fault, though he should really have known what the buses he drives are able to handle. On the second trip, though, despite me confirming the destinations in the itinerary with Umbrella MULTIPLE TIMES, the driver had somehow been given the wrong destination by their dispatch, and took guests back to the hotel instead of to the wedding reception venue. My family members had to argue with the driver, who insisted that he'd been told to take everyone back to the hotel, and "I'm only doing two trips, how will people get back to the hotel?" but he eventually relented and took everyone to the reception instead, but meant that most of the guests were delayed by quite a bit in getting to the reception. This definitely wasn't the driver's fault though, and was clearly the fault of the company/dispatch. He did eventually take the guests where they needed to go, which we appreciate.
