Their selection is a combination of locally aged wines and some with their partners in Tuscany, Italy You get three free tastes. I tried their Gewürztraminer, their Desert Rosé, and their "Man's Best Friend" Merlot. I thought the last was the best so I had a full pout for $8. Kids got a Salut Salute flight of four wines for $24. It came with a good combination of local and Italian whites and reds (two of each). My fave was the Red Zinf'. They had music on site and a food truck that leaned towards Italian appetizers and cool snacks. Noah was fine with a strawberry paleta, and Noemi enjoyed her Nutella and strawberry crustini. It was a good place to go after lunch. Plenty of shaded outdoor seating. Wine was tasty and I would return. read more

Truffles, the winery cat, greets you as you enter the tasting room. There are lots of offerings from sparking, to whites, to reds, and selections from their vineyards in Italy. We visited Zin Valle on a Saturday afternoon in January. We figured it would be less busy than usual. There were still a few couples and groups, but nothing that impacted seating or wait times. You're able to sample up to three wines before choosing which bottle or glass you'd like. Each glass was $7-8 and bottles varied in price. I tried the Nebbiolo D'Alba (Sparkling Dry Brut Rosé), Gewürztraminer (Semi-Sweet Estate White Wine), and Sangue di Giuda (Sweet Sparkling Red Wine). They all had very unique flavors and I enjoyed all of them. The staff was so helpful in helping me pick which samples to choose based on my tastes and very personable. They also showed us their small private room, which would be super cute for events or meetings. Outside, they had plenty of tables and live music was playing. It was such a pleasant experience and we definitely plan on going back! We also joined the wine club during our visit. Twice a year, you can pick up a selection of 3 or more wines that they will select based on your preferences. Based on how many wines you select, you'll receive a discount. We decided to pick 3 wines and the "surprise me" option. Go and enjoy! And most importantly, they have a vineyard cat. read more

Well worth the short drive no matter where in El Paso you reside! My parents live on the far west side so this was a fairly short drive, but it was a pleasant surprise to see something like this exist in the city's backyard. There is a decent amount of free parking and I really love how they have live music playing on the grounds. The tables are basically a first come, first serve process and they not only sell wine by the bottle but by the glass. What I really ENJOYED about Zin Valle Vineyard was how you can bring in your own food! I saw folks doing third party food deliveries and was blown away by that. I will definitely be doing that next time. The wines were so delicious and this spot was really neat. There's only one bathroom available so be patient. As we all know, wine and potty breaks never go well with everyone lol. read more

Lovely vineyard, accommodating outside patio area, super packed on the weekends making it difficult to get to the tasting bar, 3 free tastings...I liked their sparkling wine the best - a lot like prosecco which I love. Also unobtrusive live music on the weekends. They have a private room where I am sure you could host a terrific bridal shower or birthday gathering. A small but fun gift shop. I'll be honest, we'll visit again because they didn't have half their wines available for tasting. Part of their wine menu was from their vineyard in Italy. Best wine in the region, hands down. If you buy a case (12 bottles) or more, you can enter a raffle to place your best friend's picture on their upcoming year's Merlot bottle. Back in 2014, someone who owned a parrot won, and Zin Valle placed the winning pet on their 2014 Merlot which is named Man's Best Friend. I did buy a few bottles of their Gewurztraminer. And their Chardonnay grapes are sourced from Sonoma county. If you are planning on wine tasting with friends, start at this location. Trying local is my motto. As natives of El Paso, my husband and I decided to pay this winery a visit. (Interesting that we have to cross into New Mexico to get to this cute Texas Winery.) As you drive up, you can see beautiful vines to the right. They have an inviting outdoor patio with a beautiful lawn that can serve as a picnic/family area. The patio has a fair amount of siting space, to include a couple of rocking chairs (which makes it hard to drink your wine if you sit here, hehe). The staff is very friendly and they provide up to five wine samples for free. The wine labels, Rising Star in particular, is very appealing to me as a local. All their grapes, except for their Pinot Noir, are grown on site. Their wines, however, have a bit of growing to do but have great potential. read more

Stopped by Zin Valle with my wife and daughter for a little "picnic" when we arrived we were the only guests which was fine by us lol. We walked and and were promptly greeted. This was our second time here so we already knew which wine we wanted but the gentlemen asked if we wanted a glass to try anyway, and of course we took it haha. They offer a 10% military discount which is awesome. This place allows you to brim outside food/beverage to enjoy while you sit, sip and listen to live music. The first time we came they had a live band playing, this time around there was no one playing but the vibes were still really mellow. My daughter loves that she can run around the grass for a while. They are dog friendly as well which is another plus seeing as we love dogs. read more

Zin Valle is a charming outpost on the way into the deeper wine country of far eastern New Mexico, though Texas gets to claim this one as her own as the vineyard is just about the furthest west you can be in the entire state. As you pull of to the stucco building, you will notice the rustic appeal of the grounds, with token vines planted in the courtyard. Mrs Poulo was caring for the tasting room on the day we visited and offered us free tasting of their varietals, including a delicious Gewrztraminer that I decided to upgrade to a full glass. It was as crisp as she had described. The others in our group shared a bottle of the rose and all of us went to their courtyard to polish off our drinks. Overall, this was a very pleasant and peaceful winery reminiscent of the old Napa vineyards. read more

If you're looking for a quaint place where you can talk, relax, enjoy really good wine and get away from it all - then Zin Valle is your destination. the staff here always friendly and helpful and willing to spend time with whoever walks through their door with selecting wine. I prefer dry Reds, she loves her sweet Whites. We both love this winery and their selections. They also have movies on the lawn in the Summer - an absolute treat here! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and snacks and enjoy some wine and a movie - OR - even better, have a meal! They have a local chef cater these movie nights so for about $10 you can have a gourmet meal with your wine and movie. Complete with deserts. Seriously, this is the best couple's night going in the area. Try it and you'll agree. I'm not a wine connoisseur so I won't try to evaluate the wines and their aromas, body, or fruit. This is the best vineyard in the El Paso - Las Cruvrs area. They have everything from outdoor covered seating to an indoor tasting area. On weekends they have live music and charcuterie available but you can also bring your own food, which is great! The owners are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Last weekend, my husband and I decided to continue our search for delicious, local wines. We stumbled upon Zin Valle Vineyards, which is actually fairly close to La Vina, where we began our wine adventure the weekend before. When you first drive up, you can see several vines planted in the grassy front area. Each vine has a beautifully painted sign indicating which variety the grapes are. The vines are lush and green, the lawn is inviting and picturesque... What a lovely touch! I will say, that once we entered the actual building where the tastings are held, I was a little let down... After such a beautiful exterior, I have to say I was expecting more. Unfortunately, the inside is a bit plain-- almost utilitarian! Strange. Now, on to the wine itself. Not bad. Yelp's star ratings hit the nail right on the head with this one--A-Ok. Nothing great, nothing bad. Just ok. My husband and I definitely liked the wines at La Vina better. We also liked that La Vina has a greater offering of local wines. This vineyard, though, seemed to sell a mix of local and non-local wines; this struck me as strange for a vineyard to do-- I would expect this more of a local wine store than a local vineyard! Additionally, the prices were pretty steep for wine that I would consider to be just ok. All in all, I would say that if you're stopping by for one of their afternoon/evening picnic-on-the-lawn events, give it a go! We haven't been to one of these yet, but I could foresee us going back to give one a try. However, I don't really see us going back just to buy some bottles of wine. read more

While visting one of my bestie, she took me here on a Sunday. The vineyard is cute and quaint. The staff are nice and helpful as to helping your choose wine. You get to sample 3 free. Dude, this place is nice and had an awesome wood door with intricate designs (vineries have to have fancy oak doors of you didn't know). That being said, the wine is bleh as can be. Man I hate to be a debby downer, and I guess they've won some awards, but the wine was just not any good. I was very honest with our server because she was just begging for a positive affirmation, but we just couldn't say anything good about the wine. Bring some light finger foods to snack on while enjoying your wine and listening to some of the greatest live music. This is one of my favorites ways to spend a lazy sunday afternoon. I think this is probably the closest vineyards to El Paso, but it's still pretty small compared to some others in Texas as you may expect. They have a small tasting room, and also a private room surrounded by barrels of ageing wine. Once inside the gift shop/tasting area, you can either sample 3 wine pours for free, or purchase by the glass, bottle, or case. Customers either sip at the bar inside and/or purchase and take outside to the tables under the trees. I just sampled 3 reds: pinot noir, zinfandel, and a merlot. The pinot was easily my favorite. They also had a sweet red, but I didn't try it since it was from Italy, and not a local wine. Keep in mind that some of their grapes are from their own vineyard, but they also borrow from other ones across Texas too.....just as many other vineyards in Texas and other states do. Not bad for a basic winery. I'd probably try some of the other vineyards in the area on my next visit to El Paso. read more

We stumbled upon Zin Valle Vineyards by accident and decided to stop in. Driving up, the lush greenery is very easy on the eyes. The tasting building has a small comfy patio area. Grape bushes line the property and the grounds are clean. It feels very peaceful and relaxing. The inside layout is very simple, small. Kind of plain. A single two door glass cooler holds cheeses and chilled wine for sale. A few tables have wine trinkets and accessories also for sale. There is a bar of course, no stools or chairs. We said hello to the wine attendant who was behind the bar. There were only a few other people inside. She offered us three free samples of wine to start off with. If we wanted more it would be $5 we were told. I can't remember how many exactly, maybe five or six tastings would be included in that fee. There were about ten or so wines to choose from. I stated this was our first visit and we are basically wine novices. I expected the general conversational pieces, information about the wine or winery itself, but no information was offered unless I specifically asked. It was pretty awkward. To be fair, the attendant did tell us this was just an afternoon job for her and she works full time somewhere else. She was able to suggest a few sweet wines for us based on our taste. There was a plate nearby with a handful of oyster crackers on it to snack on in between tastings. The sweet wines were pretty good, light and crisp. Upon purchasing a bottle of wine (I wasn't leaving empty handed!), we were told about the events that are offered here. Movie showings, live music, and so on. THAT sounded fun and interesting so although we had a lackluster tasting I would be willing to come back for one of these events. Dogs are typically welcome to these outdoor events. Wine is fairly priced, anywhere from $15-$25 a bottle give or take. read more

All the wine is made on spot, and many of the grape varieties are grown there as well, although some are imported from California. Driving to new mexico from Austin, texas we decided to make a stop here. I'm not a very big wine drinker. Well, I never drink wine actually because I don't like the taste, but the wine here tasted great. The lady behind the counter was extremely friendly and we were offered three free samples when we walked in. She had small funny stories to tell from the vineyard and was nice to talk to. She also had a dog there named Jax I believe that was pretty and friendly. Which also brings me to the fact that this place is dog friendly. We were on a road trip with our dog and this place was the perfect stop! Good tasting wine in a friendly atmosphere and a couple doggy friends for our dog! I also bought three bottles. :) read more

Nice little vineyard with some really good wines. I especially liked the red zin grown from grapes right on the vineyard grounds. The tasting selection was excellent. To top I off they the vineyard had live music which was really good as well. We ate our picnic lunch, listened to music, and drank excellent wine. It's a nice way to spend an afternoon. read more
