First of all, I want to say that I'm giving this place two stars and not one because it is a…read morenonprofit and I respect that they offer low cost art classes. However, I don't appreciate the way I was treated here and I was not satisfied with the instruction I received. 1) There was a bad storm one day and my teacher called me to tell me that class was canceled. Later, the owner blamed the missed class on me and said that because "I" didn't show up then I couldn't make the class up or get a refund. Eventually, she told me that I could make it up, which is fine. But I didn't appreciate being told that I was at fault for missing the class when my teacher was the one who canceled it. 2) My teacher was impossible to contact. He didn't have a cell phone and then blamed students for not contacting him. 3) My teacher was a nice guy but I could barely understand him and he could barely understand me. He would get frustrated with me for not understanding his English. I am from the Miami area and should speak Spanish but unfortunately I don't. It doesn't matter though because this place is supposed to be bilingual. 3) My teacher never really taught me how to draw, and as early as the first class he had me doing pastels. I felt like I never really got any real instruction. A lot of it was just trial and error and trying to guess what he wanted me to do. I wasn't ready to move onto pastels because I hadn't learned to draw yet, but drawing instruction stopped after the first class. 4) Payment: payment time was not clear, and when I did not pay on time (due to the canceled class), the owner got nasty with me, but I had no idea when the payment was due in the first place because no one told me. I wasn't evading the payment but she acted as if I was. 5) I switched teachers and classes. When I went to the new class, the new teacher looked at my pastel work and said "You will get better after time", threw a landscape magazine with work that was way too difficult for me, then walked away to attend to someone else leaving me without any instruction for over 20 minutes. I was just sitting there without anything to do waiting for him so I walked out. 6) Before I walked out, I called the owner who told me that I could not get a refund for the classes even though I didn't take any of them. I am in an emergency situation which is why I had to stop attending classes and leave South Florida, but she was not sympathetic to my situation at all and I ended up losing $90. I'd rather spend more money to get quality instruction and better treatment somewhere else.

All of the teachers are professional and extremely knowledgeable in their medium. Every month we participate in the District Art Walk, the 3rd Saturday evening most of the local galleries open their doors to the public. Miami Art Club has recently added wine painting parties to the schedule. They are hosted by real art teachers and include all supplies and wine!! This past March we had a small group paint roosters for the Chinese New Year. I'm planning my daughter's birthday party for later this summer, she is so excited. Drove 30 mins to a closed event basically. Called, no answer, google said they should be open, all I can assume is someone might have been late to work ? Extremely unprofessional. Hella disappointing. Very much wanted to make a terrarium. I will be sending out an email for either a refund or to reschedule. Still have hope for this place but this is extremely upsetting. 3 months later, place is a scam. My bf never got a refund from the company, nor an email. I would go to another place. Best of luck yelpers.

Highly recommend for any special occasions. She's located in a business park but you can clearly tell the business by the window wrap! Super easy to find with lots of parking.

When I waned in I was greeted immediately by a girl named Ivette. She told me she could take me. I was only doing one painting. So I sat down and waited... Small paintings I believe are $15. The large ones are $20. The paintings they had all appeared nice. They also had an option for wine glasses which was nice. Well after seeing all this I was still waiting. Finally Ivette came and told me that she was swamped she asked her coworker and he blatantly said no. That he was going to lunch. I felt cheated. She asked me to come back but I said no. What is the point of having walk ins? Probably won't come back. Which sucks cause it looked like a cool experience.

I have been to many painting parties and every event seems to be hurried and the painting is usually predetermined. Not that it is a bad concept but this one has many options to choose from. There are many painting on the wall, painted by the artist on hand, you can choose one of those, you can bring one or design as you go. The great thing is if you come in a group or party not everyone walks out with the same painting or even canvas! Ivette helped me every step of the way. I had an idea and she was able to bring it to life from my blank canvas to an extraordinary piece I am really proud of!! She had a room full of budding artist she was helping yet she showed patience, compassion and her talent as an artist flowed with each person in the room. Her love for art poured out as she mixed the paints to get the perfect colors and in every stroke as she maneuvered the paint brushes. If you come in, make sure to ask for her. She will definitely make your art experience a positive and pleasant one! Art is for all ages! Check it out and enjoy!

We signed up for the kids yoga flow class online and came on our scheduled date. They have options for different age groups. The class was fantastic! My kid really loved it. It is a really nurturing environment and the staff is extremely friendly. The kids yoga class was simple yet fun and energetic. They did many yoga poses and incorporated songs, dance, and games. The calming portion at the end was very peaceful and it was magical to watch all the little kids being so calm and relaxed. The teacher even did a scented food rub to each kid. I had fun just watching my kid in this environment and interacting with the others. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch or assist and participate a bit. No need to bring a mat, kid size mats are supplied. I'm curious to try some of the other classes they offer. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
