I will preface this by saying I have not actually used this service. I met these people at a dog…read moreevent. I was very impressed with them. Seemed like they would take great care of my dogs. I called later about boarding. They really push for you to just fill out a form. They will not give any kind of estimate. I understand that circumstances will vary, but a price range would be good. I had a contractor at my home once looking out my window and commenting "all you rich people up here." He way overcharged me and we aren't all rich. Not saying she would do this, I just like to be quoted a price range. She seems to take care of her employees and has a decent business plan. Costs to meet with them, as it should. Where she lost me was asking how long the dogs could be left alone. Well, several hours I suppose. She kinda beat around the bush then told me that all of her Nannys have full time careers. If I am working outside of the house for a full work day, I take my dogs to day care. An 8-9 hour work day and commute, leaves my dogs alone for at least 9-10 hours. How does the Nanny have time to exercise them? She also said that a Nanny can only work for one week. So, if you are gone for more than one week, you would have 2 nannies. Not a huge deal, but two different people in my home is a question mark. She ended the conversation with "fill out the online form and we will see if we have any nannies available." Didn't sound like she even wanted the business and seemed like she didn't have many nannies. I have 2 easy, older dogs, but they need daily exercise. I don't need someone with my dogs 24/7, but I would not leave them more than 6 hours at a time, so just being fed and having someone overnight, is not what I am looking for. That being said, if this works for others, they may be a great service.

We were visiting for a ski trip and didn't want to leave our 7 year old GSD home nor in the hotel…read moreroom. Upon research, we were thrilled to find Charlie's place. Registering was simple, emailed necessary records and scheduled our boy's assessment. While we were filling out additional paperwork, we were able to view his assessment from a distance. It was organized and great that they let in one dog at a time rather than just throwing our boy in the crowd. He had such a great time, when we drove up the next day, he was overly excited and ran right in. When we picked him up, we loved that we could see him on camera, having fun with a non-stop wagging tail! We loved that they gave us great details of his behavior and appreciated that there are workers closely supervising. Although we were only there for two days (daycare) they knew Krypto by name and our boy loved one of the workers, Alyssa! We wish they were closer to us here in CA, as there are limited doggie daycare/lodging options here. We love skiing at Mt. Rose and will definitely ensure you get our pup(s) set-up every time we are in the area. Thank you for a great weekend!

Upon checking them they were inflamed, red, little puss!! All was good before we took him. It appears they got a little too close with the haircut, either scratched them or got burned with the hair dryer?? Now my poor dog needs treatment!!

I thought I reviewed this place previously, but it doesn't appear to be posted…read more I took my rescue dog here fall of 2024. Apollo was 80lbs of excited untrained happiness, and 2 years old. The first day the trainer/owner went over how they train the dogs, what he would learn, and what to expect. Great! I left my pup here, both of us excited, but it went downhill from there. They use slip leads & electric collars, which I am familiar with and ok with using (as long as it's just for grabbing the dogs attention and not as punishment). They assured me that this was their policy as well. Day two my dog didn't want to get out of the car when we got here. Stressed, anxious and didn't want to go. Day two I pick him up and his eye is completely bloodshot red, he's stressed out, and the trainers have no answer for why his eye is injured. Didn't even respond to my text with a video attached. My dog is sweet, but large, and he was acting afraid of his trainer (that day it was Lilly). Also the collar was SO tight. I understand it needs to be snug to make a connection, but this was WAY past the point of necessity. We stopped going despite having paid a lot of money for the training, they "graduated" him but we have never gone back, nor would I. Even after the "training" ended my dog PANICS whenever i would go to put the e-collar on him, and refuses to get out of the car. I have never used the collar above a level 4 (out of 15. Level 4 feels like a small stimulation on my palm, not a "shock") yet he is absolutely terrified of it. I obviously didn't personally see how they "trained" him, but my gut tells me they are using the e-collar as punishment; and only using it "correction" once the dog is already traumatized from being shocked. Two years later and my dog cowers when he hears the warning beep from other dogs e-collars. Would not bring my dog here for anything.

I had them at 5 stars, but I have to update this. There are certain aspects about this place I…read morelike. Some of the staff are great, however, we were promised pictures and videos of our dogs while we had our 2 dogs boarded for a week. We never received them. I know its petty that I complain about this, but I was really looking forward to seeing how my dogs were doing. They're my world. I asked them when I arrived to pick up my dogs, and staff of Sit Means Sit told me they were on the account online. I had no idea. No one told me. When I got home, I logged on and still, nothing. I called SMS and they finally told me they never took any pictures or videos. Nothing. Like I said, many people wouldn't complain about that, but .... I really was looking forward to seeing those and was let down.
