I found out she was here and I am so happy they got groomed today. She is great in pleasing a picky dog mom, and she works on Sunday's! I sent the boyfriend to drop the dog at the groomer (a risky business if you've seen the tiktok, you know). Luckily, Rachel was a pro! Rachel grooms within Canine Designs with her family owned company Nevada Natural Dogs. We said we wanted Fig's teddy bear qualities accentuated and Rachel did an AMAZING JOB. The process was quick. Two hours in and out. No puppy sitting sadly in a cage for 4 hours with a bunch of strangers before getting seen. Prices were extremely reasonable. Most importantly, my sweet girl is all blown and out and trimmed in a cute way. Finding a new groomer in a new city is scary. Rachel made it easy! read more

I have gone to many, many groomers in my life with my doodle and I've been disappointed over and over again. I found canine design in midtown and started seeing Rachel and it honestly changed my dogs life! Previous groomers have bruised him, burned him, cut him, left him with bleeding nails. I was at a low point trying to find a new groomer and even bought a grooming set to try to groom him myself. Rachel always does a great job. Ollie, my doodle, always leaves happy and healthy. I'm always told that he does a good job in the salon so it gives me peace knowing he is comfortable. Rachel always gets me in quickly, and grooms very fast. I've gone to Rachel twice now and I don't anticipate going elsewhere. When my pup got sick and we had to cancel our visit last minute, Rachel was kind enough to waive part of the cancellation fee. Melinda has groomed both Kingston and Kyzer and she does an incredible job. I'm always in love with their haircuts! This place is located in the Panda 1 shopping center, same shopping center as Tokyo Sushi.  I always go to Amber, who does an amazing job with my large golden, Benji. Benji does NOT like baths, despite being a water dog and loving swimming.  Amber is very patient and does a thorough job with him each time, and even trims his hair on his paws, genital area, and cleans his ears and slight matting behind his ears! I will always go to her, because I have not been anywhere else as great as this place.  The prices are amazing also! It is a great deal for all that they do.  Amber is usually booked out a couple weeks, so make your appointment in advance! I always have a wonderful experience here and love seeing my Benji nice and clean! read more

So my dogs hair was in desperate need of a groom considering my summer chop jobs to get them by...both dogs. Amber did a GREAT job. My husband dropped them off and he was pleased with the staff and Amber was very nice. He loved the set up and design of the shop and I completely agree. When I arrived to pick the dogs up, 2 hours for both dogs, which I feel like was appropriate timing, I was pleased with the atmosphere. Very well kept and love the decor. The women working were all very nice. And my dogs look and smell fantastic! I would definitely recommend them! They also have parking for drop off and pick up which is so convenient! I would give negative stars if I could. I cannot believe the owner of this establishment and get complete lack of customers service skills. My husband made our appointment with a groomer named Rachel using her personal phone number he received from a client of his about a month ago. Our appointment was 4/10. On 4/8 we found our boy had Prostate Cancer which was heartbreaking news. Wet kept his appointment because he always had a little extra swagger after getting a hair cut. When I arrived - I was late, I had never been there Google maps took me through Wells and it held us up, I immediately apologized to the woman checking us in who said "you've just pushed our whole day back but it's whatever." Not something I'd ever say to a customer but I let go - I was late. I told her about his very recent diagnosis and she explained they would not groom a dog with any illness so I said we would cancel his appointment. This women who was not the groomer, not the woman my husband had been corresponding with you me she'd have to charge me for the appointment because I wasted their time. Again- as someone who's worked a customer centered job for YEARS I would've never done that to someone who just found out their dog had cancer, so I wrote them a review on Google to explain my experience. The owner met my review with a response that not only referenced am entirely different situation but blamed me for being dishonest stating I knew of his cancer at the time of his appointment (which is completely false) she also stated that she has phone records of my appointment time which is interesting because we made our appointment directly through the groomers PERSONAL cell phone. Further, when faced with the fact that she responded so rudely about the wrong situation instead of taking a beat and doing the right thing and apologizing she's continued to berate me on Google. I will never support a business who treats customers this way. I will tell everyone I meet about this experience and hope that the owner makes some serious changes to the way she treats people. read more

Excellent facility!! Beautiful and clean area for the dogs. Very friendly staff that answers the phone! Pup needed a nail trim and I brought him down. The lady used the grinder and didn't charge me because he didn't really need it. She showed me what it would look like when he needs it and say on the floor with pup to make him feel more comfortable. Will 100% come back for other services! I have been to several dog groomers in Reno-Sparks area and I must say that I'm very impressed with the way my dogs get treated here at Canine Design. Every time I go to drop my dogs off everyone is very nice and the place is always clean. My last groomer would never let you see past the reception desk so I had no idea what condition the bathtub and grooming tools were like. It's not that way here. When you walk in you can see right away other dogs being groomed, The other dogs always seem to be just as happy and when I pick my babies up they always feel so soft and look beautiful. Their cuts are just the way I have asked them to do. I have Scotties and a lot of groomers just don't know how to do good Scottie cut. I also like the way they let you know when you can plan on picking your dog up so the poor dogs do not just hang out in a crate all day. The prices are comparable to other grooming salons in our area. If you need a dog groomer I highly recommend giving Canine Design a try. read more

I wanted to try a different groomer since we usually go to Petsmart, but wanted to help support a local business. I found this place on Yelp and through the reviews I made the decision to message Melinda the owner. She had me call the next day and quoted me $50 to groom my 20lb pup. That includes EVERYTHING, bath, haircut, nails, ears (if needed), and squeezing anal glands. All I had to bring was either a copy or a photo of the vaccine certificate. Only healthy pups! She was able to get us an appointment later that week on Saturday. When you drive there just know it's set in off the main road in a small strip mall. The shop is cute and personable. You can see all the dogs there is no back room to hide the dogs. Her and her staff were already busy busy busy with other pup clients by the time we got there Saturday morning. Melinda stopped what she was doing and greeted us making me feel comfortable with leaving my pup there. She gave him a once over and asked how short and what it was that I wanted his cut to be like. She scooped him up and brought him to the kennels to wait his turn and told me to be back in two hours. When we returned she had our little guy on the table doing finishing touches. He looked amazing I barely recognized him! I felt at ease leaving him there know Melinda is also a dog owner herself and you can tell loves what she does. We will be going here from now on. We took our 9 month old schnauzer/terrier mutt here for his first haircut and we couldn't be happier with how Benji was treated from the moment we walked in to when we picked him up.
