We have been to this groomer's twice. Both times I called, they scheduled my dog over 2 weeks out. The last time I called I left a voicemail to try and schedule an appointment. No returned call from them was made. I had a weird encounter over the phone during our last appointment. They kept calling and texting us to take my dog in at an earlier time than what they scheduled us. Mind you, they scheduled us 2-3 weeks out and they knew of the appointment. It was so frustrating and confusing because I was at school and in class while they called and texted. My husband work nights so he didn't even know what was happening because he was sleeping. I called to confirm our set appt time which they scheduled us at 2:30pm and they wanted to know if we can take our dog in at 12pm because someone else cancelled their appointment. I told them no, I am not free and my husband cannot take him in at 12pm. My husband took our dog in at the set time (2:30pm) and my dog got his usual groom and wash. Pros: They are quick with grooming and wash. Cons: Appointment dates are far out. Also, communication needs to improve so there isn't any confusion or misunderstanding. read more

Wonderful experience with the staff at The Dirty Hairy! I love the name of this business. I love that it's owned by a woman. And I love that the ladies I dealt with seemed so happy to meet my 85 pound Staffordshire with the huge paws and flappy jowls. Maggie, my jowly Staffy, needed a bath, a good brushing, and a nail trim. I made an appointment for a day/time that worked best for me and then dropped Maggie off. An hour or so later, I picked up a very happy and very clean dog. Maggie got head pats and pets as she left and she loved every second of it. Thank you for taking such good care of Maggie. Her nails were trimmed perfectly - not jagged, not too long but not at the quick - and her coat is very shiny. And Maggie had a good time, too! read more

This woman owned, family owned business is superb. I rescued a schnauzer from the humane society who was in desperate need of a makeover for summer. With the 108 temperatures my panic in trying to find a groomer was high. Covid caused lots of groomer to go out of business and I kept being told that the groomers were booked out months and months and in one case 6 months. For the last week I have left messages for groomers and never got calls back. I refreshed my yelp this morning and with fingers and paws crossed gave "the dirty hairy" a call. The owner answered and got me RIGHT in today ! I was gobsmacked, after all this time and frustration? They had great reviews and I was just happy that my furry kid could get some TLC. The owners are personable and efficient and kind. I am still in shock, wait until you see the before and after. To top it off, the handsome gentleman was given a bow tie !! It's our first time to go to this groomer. I'm glad we did. The place is really clean. The cleanest compared to the two that I've been to. I also noticed, which is a big plus for me is that it was not chaotic. There were not a lot of barking going on. I felt that it is safe to leave him there. I've been to a grooming place where it was just chaotic which can be very distressing to the dogs. The fur babies seem to be really comfortable. They do the grooming where you can see them and they also keep them where you can see them. They did a great job with his haircut. I showed them a picture of how short I want his hair and it was perfect. The nails were trimmed really well too. He was also ready after an hour and a half. If i could leave zero stars i would. I am absolutely furious right now. I had an appointment Wednesday. I called in the Saturday before to reschedule because i had the flu so i wanted to be sure i was 100% before i came in. When i spoke with someone over the phone they said they had an opening Saturday (a week from when i was on the phone) at 9am for all 3 of my dogs. Not only did i sit on the phone for 15 minutes giving them my dogs info to set up the appointment (when i was sick) but then i go in this morning for my appointment at 9am (after loading all 3 kids, 3 dogs up for my appointment) that when i get there the lady says, "you had an appointment yesterday" (which would have been Friday) i said no i didn't i had an appointment set up Wednesday but called and rescheduled because i has the flu. She then said "yes your appointment was yesterday", i then said no i would've never made an appointment on Friday at 9am because i work, she then says, "yes you have (reads off 3 dogs names that weren't mine)" i said no those aren't my dogs, she literally looks and me and says "oh, well i can't take your dogs today because it's only me here so all i can do is reschedule you" Okay first no! You dropped the ball on the appointment. 2. I'm not loading all my kids and dogs up again. 3. How rude and horrible is your customer service??? $200 for grooming my dogs and you can't work the dogs in. Bad business right there! I would've said sorry it may take longer today but I'll work them in as i can. Happy customer and you make money for your business! Anyways nope won't be going back and i found a mobile groomer that comes to my house with 4.5 stars and multiple reviews for cheaper. Win win! This place is horrible! These girls are the best in town - hands down I'll never go to anyone else! My 15 year old shih-tzu went to them the last half of his life they were the only ones who were able to give him a low stress groom for an old man, and he looked PERFECT every time. I still go to them with my current dogs, my families dogs all come to these ladies and always will. The new shop is SUPER fancy too. Beautiful and clean and in such a convenient location.
