The Zigzag path runs from Hotwells up to the Clifton Suspension Bridge. It's a fun path to walk up and see the gorge from a different angle but it's not for the faint hearted. (It's also not really suitable for buggy's I've tried it, that wasn't fun!) It's a steep path surrounded by trees which as its name suggests zigzags up the side of Bristol's Avon Gorge. You will probably meet a few people on your way up, depending on the time of year although it is hidden away so probably worth making sure your with someone. When you near the top you are greeted by the spectacular Clifton suspension bridge and views up and down the gorge. Or if you don't fancy the walk up you could go down and check out the gorge from below. read more
