I had a very disappointing experience with Ziebart and would encourage anyone considering this location to ask detailed questions and get everything confirmed in writing before leaving their vehicle. I brought my Toyota Sequoia in specifically for the Rust Eliminator service that had been offered to me for $149, reduced from the regular price of approximately $350. I personally spoke with the manager when I brought the vehicle in and explained exactly which service I wanted. The manager also discussed a much more expensive Total Protection package with me, which would have cost around $600. I declined the additional package and made it clear that I only wanted the $149 rust treatment for the existing rust on my vehicle. My vehicle remained at Ziebart all day. Earlier, the manager told me the service could be completed in approximately an hour and that I would receive a call. That call never came. Around 5:30 p.m., after their normal business hours, I had to contact Ziebart myself to find out what was happening with my vehicle. Someone eventually called me back and informed me that the Rust Eliminator service had not been performed at all. I was told the manager decided they could not perform that service on my vehicle. My issue isn't simply that they declined to perform the work. If there was a legitimate reason they could not safely or properly perform the service, they should have told me that. My problem is the complete lack of communication. Why was my vehicle kept there all day after I had clearly discussed the service with the manager? Why was I told it could be completed in about an hour? And why did nobody contact me to tell me the work would not be performed? I should not have had to call after closing time to discover that my vehicle had been sitting there all day without the service I brought it in for. What makes the experience even more frustrating is that I was willing to purchase the advertised rust-treatment service, but I came away feeling as though my business was not worthwhile unless I purchased the substantially more expensive protection package. Customers deserve clear communication and professional treatment regardless of which service or package they choose to purchase. A manager should communicate directly with a customer when circumstances change rather than allowing a customer's vehicle to sit all day and leaving the customer to find out after hours that nothing was done. This experience left me with very little confidence in this location. Based on the way my appointment and vehicle were handled, I would recommend that other customers research alternative rust-treatment businesses before leaving their vehicles here. read more

I had been wanting to get a remote start for my vehicle long before this winter set in. The dealership told me it would cost $1000 last summer. So I had put the thought off until I got to talking to my sister who told me that I could get it done for much cheaper than that. She told me to check out Zeibart and I did. I was very happy that I called them for a price quote. There are three price ranges available for a remote start. The least expensive is $299. The middle option is $349 and the third option is closer to $500, I think, not sure of the exact price since I did not consider that option. I went with the middle option which extends the range to a quarter of a mile. You get a new fob to operate it with as opposed to the least expensive option where they use your existing fob but then you have to be close enough like you normally would to unlock your doors. I thought it was worth the extra $50 for the longer range. Their website advertises a 3 mile range which could be useful from inside a mall or your work. That must be the third most expensive option. I dropped off my vehicle in the morning and two hours later the job was completed and ready for pick up. The system works well for me since I have two garages and park in both depending on the weather. I can start the car from inside the house to let it warm up even when I park in the bigger garage that is much farther away. Went here due to the dealer that we bought car from to get treatment done. Things seemed to be fine until we picked up car and got home and realized there was a dent in side drivers door. When we called to notify them they said it was there, which in fact we know it wasn't when we dropped off car and the car was only a week old. The gentleman that helped us even did a walk around and nothing was noted before we left it with them. I went in for tint recently based on recommendation from my car dealership. Tint quality is good, but customer service was terrible and in my opinion not worth it. It is clear their entire mission is to upsell the customer rather than serve the customer. I was asking for basic tint and the clerk not so politely told me that it would look terrible and I absolutely need to get the more expensive tint. He proceeded to mansplain and tell me this in the "you're stupid" voice. If my husband was in there asking the same questions, I highly doubt he would received the same blatant disrespect. My suggestion if you are going to Ziebart, do you research first so you can dodge the scheme of making the customer feel stupid and getting upsold on the product that you wanted. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the terrible customer service I received at the Plainfield, IN location on 10/11/2023. I have a lifetime paint protection warranty with my car, and I have been loyally having the annual service completed at your location for several years. In addition to the annual service, I have consistently purchased additional services, such as having additional protection film installed and my interior serviced. During my last service, my car was returned to me without the cup holder insert and an interior trim piece that was in the driver's side door pocket pending reinstallation. When I called the store to inquire about the missing parts, I was told that they did not have them and that there was nothing further they could do for me. I was referred to their corporate customer service email address for the Indiana/Ohio region, which I had to contact several times before receiving a reply. The reply I did receive was essentially just an apology. I am very disappointed with the way this situation has been handled. I have been a loyal customer for many years and that they would throw away the relationship over less than $50 after I have spent thousands with them, and I expected better service. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Went in for a yearly inspection and re-application of the paint protection. After picking up the 2019 GMC Denali HD, and driving home, I stepped out of the truck and noticed 3 new chips on the front corner of the bumper. They are in a straight line and each is exactly 1/4" apart. I drove back to Ziebart, and mentioned that there were now 3 new chips on the front of the truck. Before the owner/manager even got outside, he told me they were rock chips, they were there when I brought the vehicle in and said he didn't mention them in the walk around because he doesn't mention a lot of things and then he pointed out the dimpled paint on the front fender where a dent had been repaired. He stated it was a bad paint job. (I had actually pointed that out to him when I listed new repairs since last year's service! it was a paintless dent repair.) I said that they were not there when I brought the truck in that morning and he asked if I was calling him a liar. He then said that I was a liar, blaming him for existing rock chips. He got very loud and obnoxious and I asked if he was really the manager. He said yes. I then asked for the district manager's information, which he did not provide, but he did tell me that He (the district manager) would be worse than him. I asked for the Regional manager, and was told that he would be rougher for me to deal with than the district or local manager. (Talk about throwing people under the bus...) He once again called me a liar and told me to not come back there for my free warranty service ever again. (By the way, over the last few years, I had purchased four complete window tint jobs, a remote starter, tool boxes and truck bed caps from this dealership, as well as paint protection for three different trucks.) He told me that he ran this store for 8 years, I told him I just wanted them to know about the damage. It looks like it was hit with a piece of machinery in the shop. Rocks don't normally hit in a straight evenly spaced line. I got in my truck to leave, realizing that you cannot deal with irate people. While this was going on, my wife took a picture of the birds that had built a next on their sign and was watching the mother feed the babies. When he saw her with her phone out, he got more irate, started waving his hands, making a fist, and yelling. I lowered my window, and he basically shouted that we shouldn't video tape him. I purchased ny 2022 Telluride EX-P from Andy Mohr Kia last year. Part of that purchase was rust proofing and sound proofing of the vehicle. I picked up the vehicle and returned to my home in New York State, During my annual service period, I brought the Telluride to Ziebart of Haskell, New Jersey. They reapplied the Diamond Gloss, but notified me that the rust proofing and sound proofing had never been done. Yes, they said the wheel wells were sprayed to make it look like something was done, but the rest of the vehicle did not have any form of a coating and when they further removed the plugs, the interior door spaces were clean and showed no signs of treatment at all. I went in for my yearly service appointment and when i went to leave after my service the seats looked horrible! Spots missed, application was uneven and smeared on. My seats looked like crap! I asked for them to fix it to look better, they took my car back and tried to fix it but it looked worse than before. My ventilated seats are now stained and ruined by the way they applied the treatment! They just told me "it will soak in" I went back a week later to show them it hasn't soaked in and they said "that wasn't from anything we did!" I've contacted the corporate office and they just gave me the franchise owner's email to contact them. Corporate isn't concerned about how their customers are treated. I've contacted the franchise owner's customer service and sent them the pictures they requested and that's it. No contact or reply since. From corporate: "His name is Mr. Jim Harris. As communicated he has his own corporate office and his own customer service department that is able to handle any issues that they might have. I have forwarded your email to their office with a request to contact you directly. Again, they will only communicate via email only so there is a paper trail. Their email is customerserice@bart1.com if you need to reach them directly." As I stated before they have not responded since I sent them pictures. So now I'm stuck with my seats looking like a 3 yo took a marker to them, I'm so disgusted with this business. We just had our 2020 4 runner detailed and diamond gloss exterior and underbody barrier inner guard windshield treatment total of $989.99 The interior was poorly cleaned windows have a film on inside wax left on outside and still had bugs dirt in the doors seats and doorstill had fingerprints. Told they wouldn't come out when I picked up The Company email for feedback from service told them not happy and they said sorry. Stevie T, customer service representative for Zeibart responded 1/10/23 with the same response given to most negative reviews: "please call our customer service," and then he provides an email address (not a phone number). Mr. Stevie T, it seems to me your canned response is just lip service. The following will attempt to explain why I believe this. When I wrote my original review, you had 20 "accepted" reviews and dozens of "hidden" reviews. Of those 20 reviews, 14 gave you 1 star, and 2 gave you 2 stars. In your business model, Zeibart pays dealerships to sell Zebart's service. When the dealer's customer arrives at your store, your staff is trained to "up-sell" them (this information comes from your online employee comments & BTW your employee comments also appear to be overwhelmingly negative). Because dealers are paid to sell your services, your business is a VOLUME MACHINE. Sometimes the machine works well, some times it does not. When it does not work well, customer complaints/questions are not tolerated because they interfere with your VOLUME MACHINE and those customers are treated as "casualties of war," defensively and angrily so that the volume machine can move on. Zeibart has done the math and knows that as long as dealers are paid to sell your services and sends you a steady stream of customers you can afford to burn through dissatisfied customers. The dealer is actually your true customer - they are who you strive to keep happy (the occasional walk-in customer is just gravy). So, back to my first comment to you, Mr. T, your suggestion of "calling" customer service appears to me to be simply an attempt to make it look like you care when in reality, you just don't. Took much longer than precious years to get an apt for our annual. We had to wait over a month to get the car in. Picking it up was quick but they didn't do what they said they would on the interior. Carpets were never vacuumed and seats were never wiped down. When I brought this to the attention of the guy I picked the car up from, he merely repeated what I was told when I dropped it off. When I pointed out the deficiency in their service, he just repeated himself again. Customer service has certainly gone way down in the last year. We won't be going back to the location for sure. Easy to drive to a different location. I don't recommend using Ziebart at this location - avoid. So, as an update to my review, I did contact their business customer support as requested. I copied and pasted my review and forwarded it to them. They responded with exactly then same response that u received in person. They didn't even read what I wrote to them. So here's my final comments, there are 3 different businesses in the Plainfield area that do the same thing that Ziebart does. Use three if you want some real customer care and service. I dealt with Levi, I guess he is the store manager there. My wife's car was in a accident and we took it there to put the protection on after everything was fixed. The first thing he said you are paying out of pocket and I said yes. Just email the invoice to my insurance company. This was on March 25th. When I handed Levi (Store Manger) my card I said my insurance company sent you a email to you can forward the invoice. He said no problem, he sent them a work shop order with no bill or invoice on it. I literally tried to contact the Plainfield store for 3hrs. Chris first answered said Levi was in the back and it hung up. Second time I got through they answered laughed and hung up. Finally got through and some guy answered then asked me if I was threatening him? I was like I am trying to get a invoice for me insurance company. He said ok I will send it. I had a remote start with security system installed 8 years and 50,000 miles ago. I have been extremely happy with the installation and with the system. I recently had a problem with the blower motor working intermittently and thought it could be related to the installed system. I visited the Ziebart facility in Plainfield. Nick and Bobby investigated the problem and found the system was not responsible. They spent a lot of time as the system has a lifetime warranty even though it was not at fault. They tracked the problem down to the ignition switch. Both were very pleasant and were willing to listen to my questions. The service I received was by far well above what I expected. I will certainly recommend Ziebart to all my friends. The remote start has worked extremely well for 8 years. I highly recommend the Viper system and Plainfield Ziebart. I called them on the phone to see if I could stop in when I was in the area. The man I spoke with on the phone his name was Levi, was very rude and disrespectful. He said he did not know if he had the tools or equipment? I told him all they were were butt connectors that needed to be remade up. He was very short and disrespectful and said to bring it in. when I went to the store and he realized who I was, he told me to get the f... out of his store. They damaged the defroster on my rear window while installing tinting film. They assured me the installation was routine and told me to drop my car off at 8:00 am, which I did. They kept the car all day and when I went to pick it up right before they closed at 5:30 they immediately collected and told me they were finishing up my car. After another thirty minutes they informed me they were having some problems. After an hour they told me they had installed and removed the film three times and it still wasn't right so they ask me to bring the car back at a date in the future when they had an opening in their schedule. They destroyed my rear window defroster and the factory painted lines on the glass are missing in spots where they damaged them installing and reinstalling the tinting. The window looks horrible. I'm afraid from their attitude this is business as usual. Keep you coming back until you give up and accept shoddy workmanship. read more

Got the car back they had not done the seats (leather) stains still on it did not do the door panels stains still on it basically only thing touched was the rug. I had a horrible experience at the Plainfield location. After standing in line for 15 minutes behind someone just asking questions that didn't even matter until the next day when he said he wanted to bring his car back all I was trying to do way pay and leave. During the time I stood in line 3-4 other employees just stood there. All anyone had to do was pull the guy to the side so I could pay since he wasn't even in line to pay at the time. The customer service is terrible. I actually left overpaying my bill by $300 because they couldn't figure out how to put a $250 gift certificate in the system. That's how bad I just wanted to leave this establishment! So I tried to call customer service 3 times since 9:30 today with no answer as it goes straight to voice mail. I'm not sure how this company operates in todays economy. I can only assume that they posted the were sorry please contact customer service below my response to give the public the allusion that they are trying to rectify the issue. I have had several vehicles serviced and extra's added over the past 12 years under 4 different managers and have had some issues but they always took care of the issues but on last years maintenance appointment which took 3 weeks to get in, I took my 2015 Dodge pickup in for it's yearly maintenance and as usual I always get something extra on each visit, I decided to spend an extra $250 to have the inside detailed. I picked my truck up later that day around closing time, I noticed when I got home the paper matt under my feet on the drivers side was very wet (soaked), I felt it and found standing water on the carpet on the front and back carpet of the drivers side , the passengers side was okay. since the store was closed I waited until the next day and called and talked to the manager, he was very short with me, I took it back, The manager came out, I opened my drivers side and showed him the water and ask him to look and feel the excess moisture, he laughed and said " it's supposed to be damp, it will be for a day or two" I again ask him to feel and he just touched the threshold and laughed and said "what do you want me to do about it, my guys did what they were supposed to do" there were harsh words said back and forth and he threatened to call the Plainfield police if I didn't leave the property. I then went home and vacuumed the excess water out myself, it took several days for the carpet to dry completely. I will never go back to the Plainfield branch as long as this guy is manager. Brought my truck here for undercoating and window tinting Feb. 4th. Put my truck on a lift a week later and noticed several places that were missed and tint on one of my windows was peeling. So here I sit on my day off (that I don't get many of) having the truck redone. The guy at the counter apologized and said he's going to respray the truck and re-tint the window. They held up their end, but wasted 1/2 of my day off there. I had a 8am appointment that wasn't showing up in their system either. Not once was I offered a discount on the services. I don't want anything free, but you'd think it would have been offered for my time. I was going to have them Rhino line the bed, but think I'll look elsewhere for that. read more

This is the most Mia managed place I have ever seen. When I bought my 2014 F-150 new in 2014 I made the mistake of getting the Diamond Gloss protection. I have taken my truck back every year for the annual touch up . The first time the buffer slipped out of the hands of the worker. This time 4 / 15 / 2019 I had a scratch I wanted them to see what they could do to repair. After telling me it would be $35 to help but fix and giving the okay they call back as say the buffer again knocked a chip of paint off. WTF, can theses people do anything the correct way. I advise people to not go near the place. I wouldn't let these dip shits work on a bicycle.
