This was my first time getting my vehicle tinted. Ziebart came highly recommended by my fellow colleague--so I went ahead and booked an appointment with them. Upon arrival to the store, I asked for a representative to discuss what option would be best for my brand-new vehicle. He inspected my vehicle and saw that I had factory tinted glass on all windows EXCEPT for the driver and passenger door. He suggested we simply tint the passenger door and driver door window to match the factory tint in the back--so I agreed. I kept repeating that I was worried the front tints wouldn't match the back factory tints. The representative kept repeating, "it will match, it will match." QUITE LITERALLY HIS EXACT WORDS. So, I agreed to his recommendation of tinting only the front 2 windows with a ceramic tint. Upon picking up my car I was mortified to see the tints DID NOT MATCH. The front 2 windows were much darker than the back windows. Additionally, the tint colors were completely different!! The back of my vehicle has a brown tint hue, while the front two tinted that Ziebart installed has a BLUE tint hue (VERY Noticeable). I went back into the store to speak with the same exact man that was there that morning to express my concerns. The man was very rude and cold, completely different person than he was that morning. He then went on to say, " yeah it looks like that but there's nothing we can do; the tints will NEVER match. Every car on the road has the same issue, no one's tints ever match". May I remind you, that same morning, the stated that the tints WERE GOING TO MATCH!!! MY goal in writing this is not to say Ziebart did a horrible service (the installation of the 2 front windows was great). However, I wish their employees spent more time educating their customers and not LYING about what they are actually getting!!! Let's continue with the story... The representative I was working with was getting extremely frustrated about the situation, all the meanwhile I was trying to remain calm and professional. I kept asking what I can do to make the situation better (example: darked the tint in the back, add ceramic tint in the back, add smoke tint in the back... ANYTHING TO MAKE THE BACK LOOK BETTER). All the man kept saying was, "it's never going to match, there's nothing I can do." In all honesty, I was not trying to be difficulty, I was NOT trying to get a discount or take advantage of the situation (money is no issue and I had every intent to pay for a full-service tint). But it seemed like he was irritated with my concerns and did NOT want to help at all... Lucky, one of his co-workers noticed his frustration and came over to help the situation. His coworker was VERY KIND and helpful with the situation. He came outside and inspected the vehicle again and agreed that there was a significant difference (I Was not crazy)!! He recommended I tint over the back windows with a dark ceramic tint--which will ultimately help with the color/hue as well as even out the back to make it look darker than the front (which is what I initially wanted). Unfortunately, I will have to take an additional day of work to get my vehicle re-tinted on a different day-- the store was unable to fix it for me the same day of the incident. For my first time getting my vehicle tinted, I expected the process to be simple and easy (SILLY ME!!) I will not be recommending Ziebart for window tinting services moving forward. read more

This place is alright. My issue is the tint they use. It has a horrid yellowish tint to it so from the inside, your car looks cheap. The tint on my other windows are blue but I had them replace the back window. They don't match now but whatever. read more

Do not use interior detailing services with Ziebart. You can do a better job with $20 of supplies from the dollar general and 30 minutes of your time. I spent $160 on an interior detail on my new "used" vehicle and the job they did was comical. I could scrape sticky residue and wipe coffee stains off the dash after having been serviced. I Let them try to fix it again and the inside of my vehicle was still really dirty. The job they did was unacceptable. Not even in the realm of the service I paid for. You get wet seats for $160. read more

Mr. Jerry Dean was unprofessional and actually raised his voice with me, after I expressed my dissatisfaction with their customer service I was given after 2 appointments and excessive service delays to replace a lifetime warranted remote starter. I will never go back even if I need the new remote starter system worked on in the future. I will not tolerate being talked to by anyone...never again! read more

Just got back from getting a tint done on my new car. First, the good. They were able to get me in right away which was great, they even seemed to speed it through since I had to wait and didn't have another vehicle. The price was right at what everyone else was charging and this was a bigger chain so I thought it would be better and I would be able to follow through on warranty work throughout the country if necessary. And the bad... Right away prices started to go up when different offers came up. Maybe I'm just cheap, but an extra $100 to tint the front windshield is a lot on top of the nearly $200 it costs for the rest of the windows... The real annoying one is the fact that when I got the car back, a car I had just picked up clean from the dealer yesterday, the inside and outside were covered in water drips. I would expect that if I'm paying $100/hr the car would be clean or cleaner than when I brought it in, especially for a detailing place. Even a simple wipe down would have been nice. I was skeptical about coming here in the first place after a coworker had gotten in an argument with them regarding a price quoted over the phone but thought I'd try anyways. If you want a tint from a chain for an average price, this isn't bad, but don't expect anything great. It really is just Meh... read more

Didn't clean the smudges and dirt from the front of my truck before they did the diamond gloss. Then when I complained they did exactly the same thing. Talked me into buying trim for doors and it keeps peeling . Now it has ruined my paint on the doors entirely. Manager didn't seem to care! Going to another location next year! read more

Ziebart's Tinting is subpar. On May 10, 2017 I got my all of my windows tinted to include my front windshield. When I received the car back there was trim pieces, plastic film, in the car. I didn't note this a major discrepancy, but it was something that spoke against Ziebart for me. Around the 23rd of June I went in to pursue a warranty claim because the front passenger and driver both had bubbles. Also, the drivers side had a crease in it. The windshield had what I thought was a squeegee mark, but upon inspection the salesperson told me it was contaminants from a windshield that wasn't cleaned properly. The salesperson then scheduled me to have both side and the windshield replaced on Tuesday the 27th June. Drop-off 27 June - I go to drop it off I get a different salesperson wants me to show them the spots again to which I oblige. He once again concludes we need to replace the two front side and the windshield. This was kind of waste of time because what was the first inspection for on the 23rd. 27 June - After I pick it up from the warrantied service I noticed later that day that some of my trim had been scratched. (The trim that houses a small speaker up near the front of both driver and passenger side windows. I didn't carefully inspect the car up receipt because I thought I could always go back under warranty and I had some errands to run.) The trim on the drivers side made me attentive to look at the trim on the passenger side once again scratched up, it was also a little loose. I won't fault them for it being loose because it is only held on by one clip, but I'm sure beating it with a squeegee didn't help. The windshield was never replaced, but I just thought they had done some sort of magic to get the mark off - it's still there (around an inch long mark.) 28 June - I go back I speak with a general sales rep. He sees the scratched trim and the contaminants he then brings the store manager to look at. To which he think the marks on the trim are unacceptable, but he feels as though he can't do any better for the line of contaminants on the windshield. I mentioned to him I came to Ziebart because I was looking for good service and they haven't impressed me so far. He then stated that it exceeds the industry standard of not being able to see discrepancies within 20 ft of the car and here at Ziebart it's 10 ft. So he won't redo the front windshield even thought that's what Ziebart said twice and he said if they had to replace the glue from the previous tint would make the next tinting look worse. To fix the trim the just dressed them in an Armor All type oil and didn't do anything to the windshield. The dressing made it shiny, but the scratches are still apparent on the passenger side. For $500+ I feel as though I received a sub-par product. I contacted corporate with these discrepancies. Corporate apologized and said it was the responsibility of the franchisee. They gave me the email of the franchisee. I immediately forwarded my previous correspondence. They never got back to me. (I waited 2 months before posting this review.) read more

Called RON twice requesting a call back for window tinting, never recieved a call, took my business elsewhere. Will never go back

Was very impressed at first site. I even tipped the guy 20 bucks for doing so well. Well after 1-2 days I noticed a bubble in my leather seat. Well I let it slide, my car is very old and I honestly did not know if it was there previously. Well a couple weeks go by and I decide to take a trip to Indianapolis to the comic con, I had a passenger in the back seat got out of my car with black/brown stuff all over his pants. I asked him what it was and he said " I don't know its from your car!" I then went to my car and seen the bubble that was once there was now a rip! I was beyond devastated. My boyfriend at that time was like take your car in and show them, I did have pictures before hand. Went to the location and they told me it was something I spilt????Look in the pictures, if I had spilt something why is it not on the part your butt sits on? It was either the a, the chemicals(highly doubtfull) or b, they use steam treatment for carpet cleaning I think the carpet cleaner tool got laid on my leather seat~ I am very shocked that Ziebart will not fix this. I got my windows tinted about a month ago and had debated between smoke and ceramic tint. I spoke to the available rep (they don't wear name tags) who told me that the ceramic would be the closest to the factory color and that it wouldn't be a noticeable difference between the visor (smoke) and the rest of the car (ceramic). That wasn't the case. The visor is almost black and the rest of the car is brown, which looks horrible with a dark gray car. The driver's side window has always looked cloudy and all of the windows have between a 1/8" - 1/4" gap around them, with none of the lines being straight in any manner. About a week ago I noticed that the tint on my back hatch was peeling off. I took the car in and was told by the same rep that nothing was wrong with the tint and it looks exactly the way it's supposed to look, but that they would fix the hatch. I went today and was told by the manager that the tint was perfect and he just pushed the tint on the hatch back up, stating that "tint doesn't stick to the dots." He said that the color is the closest to factory, but never addressed why it was brown. I paid $500+ for this tint and have used this ziebarts on 2 other cars without issues. read more

I have had 3 different cars tinted here and have never had any problems. Also they now offer ceramic tint which keeps much more heat out than regular tint. The manager, Ron, is also very nice and professional to me and is a big reason I keep going back. read more

Shop around before settling to get your windows tinted here. They have two offerings for tint, your bottom of the line charcoal with a 3 yr warranty for color change because the manufacturer knows it will turn purple and top of the line nano technology with an outrageous price tag. They also wanted to charge more for 5% tint when this color is the same if not cheaper than the other shades. There are other shops in and around Dayton that offer great service, flawless installation, a superior product and a great price. Do some research before settling at any of the Ziebarts for window tint. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ZIEBART FOR AUTO DETAILING. I was extremely disappointed with the results of the interior detailing service provided by the Ziebart at Fairborn, Ohio. I specified to them that I just bought a used conversion van and wanted to get it detailed because there was a lot of pet hair and thought I was going to get the best service but turned out to be one of the worst. When I picked up the vehicle after they had it in their possession for more than 24 hours it looked like they barely touched the inside. There was still a lot of visible pet hair and it looked like the surfaces on the interior hadn't been wiped down and this is after someone from the store supposedly did a quality check on it. I showed them the areas of concern and they agreed that they could have done a better job but when I asked for a refund they refused. I paid over $400 total for services I could have done myself and saved a lot of headache. I do not recommend this place for auto detailing at all. read more

I took my 20 yr olds car which she has used for three years (it was a mess-including having chocolate melted into the seats.). Ziebart had a special and we did the interior and exterior detailing for $200. We arrived at 8 AM and it was done by 3PM and it really looked like new when they were done. The outside sparkled and the inside was nearly spotless. I couldn't tell from the website that it included carpet shampoo but it did. In fact the website seems to concentrate on the products they use, but the service is thorough and well done. read more
