False advertising! They advertise 33.00 per room. So, I called and told the sales rep that I have a 14 x 24 room that needed cleaning. She said that it would cost 66.00 because the room is over 200 sq ft. Ok, that's fine. Then she added that there's a 100.00 minimum. So, instead of 33.00 per room, in my case, its 100.00 per room. DID NOT DISCLOSE FEES AND WILL NICKEL AND DIME YOU / POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I had my home carpets cleaned with Zerorez but will not be using their services anymore. I was given a flat price per room up to 200 sq ft, then received my bill with separate charges for each closet (even though the rooms are well under 200 sq ft). They even charged full room price for one of the closets claiming it was too large - it's a closet. I'm fine paying an agreed price of its disclosed, but to not disclose it is a disservice to the consumer. The worst part was they made no attempt to fix the situation - poor customer service. I like their non chemical cleaning, but my bill was more than double what I pay with other services. At these prices and with poor service and disclosure, I'm probably better off just buying new carpet. I will not use them in the future. read more

NEVER USE THEM!! They falsely advertise and nickel and dime you for everything! Previously i had used a company to clean my carpets and I LOVED them. They also had a no residue process (so ZeroRez's claim that they are the only ones...is an outright lie). Anyways, I chose to use Zerorez because even though the company that I used is very upfront on their prices and their estimate never changes, their pricing structure had recently increased so my husband suggested that i try another company (we also had our carpets and 2 couches cleaned in the basecment a few months ago my previous company and even though i was extremely happy, it cost us a pretty penny. So we decided to change it up and try to save some money). WORST DECISION EVER. I called Zerorez and the booking process was pretty easy. I was quoted a price and felt good about it! I'd be saving me about $100 going with Zerorez over my previous company. Anyways, they came...upcharged me on every closet big or small, upcharged me on every stain, AND after they were done...my carpets looked like they had NEVER BEEN CLEANED! So, I ended up paying $50 MORE than if i wouldve gone with my previous company! I was furious. I called the office to get a refund for my money and all they offered to do was come back and "make it right". I didnt want them back, but they wouldnt just refund my money and they started treating me VERY POORLY when i started insisting the refund. Still didnt get the refund, still had dirty carpets. EMPOWERED WATER IS A JOKE if your carpets have any kind of normal use on them. I will NEVER USE ZEROREZ again, and neither should any of you. I called my old company back and practically begged them to take me back. Zerorez ruined our beautiful Iranian carpet. The salesman fed my wife a load of b.s. about the careful process they were going to use to ensure that the dye wouldn't run, how we were supposed to receive updates (with photos) on how the cleaning was going, etc, etc. After we hadn't heard squat after 3 weeks, my wife called them. It took them a while to even figure out what was happening with our rugs. When we finally got them back, the dye on one of them had run badly. They obviously took no care at all. I can't bear to look at the carpet now. It was beautiful and now it's ruined because someone didn't take care to determine whether the dye would run. The fringes are frayed, so it looks like they just put it into an industrial washing machine. read more

However, our carpet smells worse than it did before (actually there was no odor before) the cleaning and it just seems like they brought all the allergens up and my allergies were been going off like crazy while the carpets were drying. And again today while I was doing yoga in the living room and my face was near the carpet. This was NOT happening before the carpet cleaning. $145 later... I don't feel like my carpets are any cleaner because of the allergens that were brought up from the carpet pad. read more

I WOULD NEVER GET THESE GUYS TO CLEAN YOUR CARPETS They say they service American Fork and then they make you wait all day until the guys are done with the SLC to come to American Fork. The biggest problem would be the PROGRAM AND SYSTEM ITSELF, IT DOES NOT WORK! Nice people, but the very next day there were the problem areas that were still dirty. One day! They do not use soap so it does not clean! There is one guy that comes to American Fork, he worked very hard, but with no soap the dirt is still there. They also use this power brush gizmo they say it lifts the dirt from the bottom of the carpet, excuse me but that is what vacuum do. This brush wears out your carpet, the tech even said to not get it done very often. I feel spent all day getting my furniture moved and schedule to be home and it is still not clean. They offered to come out and do spots again, but who has time to have someone come over twice, and with still same results as before. read more

I had my carpets cleaned today and was very impressed. The office communicated very well from the moment I made the appointment. The tech called like they said he would and he was on time. He walked through the house with me so I could show him the areas I needed cleaned. He found the areas I needed spot treatments on from my dog having an accident. I paid more than expected but I was totally fine with that because I feel like he did an excellent job and the tech was very respectful. He wore show covers and protected the corners of my walls. That's very important to me. I found a coupon just before he showed up. Although I couldn't do the additional treatment today he said they would honor the coupon after the expiration. Bad service if you have pets. We had a black light for before we called and used it after. No change at all. Dog immediately smelled his spots. We paid about $150 extra to treat for dogs but got nothing. A day later the house smells like urine same as before. Don't use Zerorez if you have pets. read more

I was looking for someone to clean the carpet of my three commercial buildings. I decided to contact Zerorez to send someone to give me a bid. Meanwhile, I scheduled an appointment to clean the carpet of my home in order to see their quality but specially their price. My experience was that they were too expensive. They cleaned four bedrooms, master bedroom, a hall-way, stairs, and my living room for nearly $400. I had the same home cleaned by somebody else a few months ago, and I paid only $185. They justify charging you more by explaining that their chemicals are different than the other competitors. It's just talk! Despite my home experience, I did not cancel my bid appointment with John who is in charge of commercial buildings. I told him that Zerorez cleaned my home, but it was too expensive. I stated to John that I was told that the price for commercial building was better. He agreed to stop by and give me a bid. After entering my first building, he stated; "so you know, we don't do good deals, we do quality work." I indicated to him that I'm not paying the same fee that I paid for Zeroez to clean my home. I also informed him that I want a better deal for my business because these are offices and only the traffic areas need to be cleaned. He further stated that "If you are looking for good deals or cheap services, you called the wrong company." I told him that I was not interested in paying the same fee as Zeroez charged to clean the carpet of my home. John further stated: "You wasted my time coming here. Please don't ever call us back again." After he said that, I told him to leave my property. Are you kidding me? How can someone say that? By the way, he continued yelling "Please don't ever call us back again. You wasted my time" as he walked towards the company's car. Don't do business with this company specially John. I was looking for a higher quality carpet cleaning company. I did expect to pay more. However, I ended up paying more than double the amount quoted over the phone. For what I payed, I could have half way recarpeted my house, if I knew I was going to be charged that much, and not have my carpets look brand new, I would have recarpeted. I called and asked for a refund and they said they would send out another technician, however, they may charge additional fees depending on the treatments they do. We did the microseal ... Do Not do the microseal on the same day you do have your carpets cleaned! Wait at least 1 day and have them do it then. The microseal will not work if you do it on the same day... also if you do the microseal, plan on leaving home for 6 or 8 hours and open all of your windows, it smells much worse than than any other chemical smell and is very toxic to breathe the fumes. They should have warned us. Also the price of the microseal is way too high. So plan on dickering with them and they will lower the price a bit. Also look up ULTRAHYDROPHOBIC on google and compare the price. I was almost ready to use ULTRAHYDROPHOBIC instead of Zerorez... because ULTRAHYDROPHOBIC claims to be 10 times better. read more

I heard about Zerorez on a KSLnews commercial. I scheduled a visit for Zerorez to clean 5 large rooms and a staircase. The day of the cleaning, I was called saying the technician was just finishing a job and would be on his way to my home in about 20 minutes. 2 HOURS later, no technician, no phone call...I called Zerorez several times, but no one answered. Their answering machine directed me to hold on the line, and I waited for over 10 minutes, but was automatically kicked off the line due to the line being unmonitored. I attempted it for over 45 minutes in order to contact someone at Zerorez. I ended up leaving 2 messages and I NEVER received a return phone call. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ZEROREZ and I will NOT be calling them again. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! read more

Great experience using zero res! Had them clean a mattress and sofa cushions. The mattress turned out Amazing! I had the technician spray it with antibacterial spray when finished. It smells clean and stains are 95 percent gone. I almost replaced the mattress but I am thankful that I opted to save money and have it cleaned. Quality mattress would have been $600 or more to replace and this cost $110. Definitely worthwhile to clean and not replace. First, the quote provided was not accurate and while I understand it is just an estimate, to cost over $100 more than I was expecting leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Secondly, my parents used your company and was able to get out most, if not all, of the traffic area stains, it was amazingly impressive, which is why I called you guys. Sadly, the technician was not friendly, up-sold my Fiance without her being aware, and didn't get out any of the high traffic stains..NONE! Finally, we were given a time frame of when to expect a technician, sadly there were numerous cancellations so they sent our technician home and made us wait (replanning our entire day) so we could get our carpets cleaned. Essentially we were punished because of other people canceling. Sad! Terrible customer service and our carpets don't look clean and don't feel clean either. I had Zerorez come out to my home to clean carpet in several rooms. My main issue was dog urine that my new puppy had left in a few rooms. I was never told until after the service and several hundred dollars, that they do not guarantee pet/organic stains will be removed. The stains looked JUST the same as before they had been cleaned, and a few other stains that weren't from my puppy. I spent the next 24 hours getting the stains out myself as I had company coming. I was able to get the stains out, so I was surprised that a carpet cleaning company couldn't remove the stains. They offered to come clean the carpets again, but by that time I had already cleaned them myself. After the carpet completely dried, besides the stains I was able to get out, the carpets looked like I had never had them cleaned at all. SO frustrating. Never again will I trust this company to do what they say they can do. read more

This time, they came out and [1] did a horrible job cleaning the carpet; [2] told us we had to replace the carpet [completely unnecessary]; [3] refused to come out and reclean, give refund or voucher. Within a few hours of them leaving, my wife called ChemDry, which came out and did an awesome job. Unbelievable the difference in quality and cleanness. I am really disappointed. I set up an appointment for Zero Rez of Draper to clean my daughter's home in Orem. The tech did the job just fine and the carpets look great (It's only been an hour since he left). The problem came when they called me to get my credit card number. The price had jumped by $60 from what we discussed in the phone! I had read other comments on here and on Google Reviews and thought that it would not happen to me because I had had a clear conversation with the girl who set up the appointment. I think somehow that what she tells people isn't getting communicated to the technician. They charged me the same price as an entire room for a hallway that is 4'x12'. what??? This NOT what I was told on the phone. I would never have hired them if I had known that the price would be not $120 but $180. Trust me, any carpet company could have done the job. Beware! My invoice came to $300 more than my estimate. We weren't prepared for the additional charges NOT identified before the service. Zerorez also did not deliver the additional promotional services that were included with my order. Overall it was a bad experience, and I don't really care about the hype of my carpet and residue. They left a lot of product on my floor in sealing my grout so I now have to mop my recently "professionally cleaned" floor to clean up what Zerorez left behind. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I was annoyed with a vomit odor from my son's five-day flu. I called Zerorez specifically about removing the odor. The man who booked the appointment said they treated odors with a THREE-STEP BIOLOGIC TREATMENT PROCESS "THEY FIRST NEUTRALIZE IT, THEN THEY CLEAN IT, THEN THEY PUT THE ENZYME DOWN AND THE ENZYME TAKES CARE OF ODORS AND BACTERIA."(quote from actual phone call) At this point I am happy about it, I finally think the horrible smell in my family room will be taken care of. The day of the appointment I was supposed to be called between 2-3 PM to notify me when they would be coming out. Noon rolls around, they call me to say they will be there in 10 minutes. I told them I had not vacuumed yet and asked them for 30 minutes. The man told me the technician would be there in 30-40. ONE AND A HALF HOURS LATER the technician finally arrives. I glanced at the work he was doing several times. I was interested in how the process varies with the biologic treatment they were charging me an extra $50 per room for. The Process looked IDENTIAL for the two rooms, I became concerned because I didn't see the three-step process the other man told me about. When the tech was finished I asked him what he did differently with the biologic treatment room he said "I just used a different cleaner." I asked him what if the odor is still there? He stated the odor would only be there if it had soaked clear through to the pad and there would be no odor on the surface of the carpet. He told me if there was still odor the next step would be replacing my carpet padding or doing a room flooding for $700! As soon as he ran my credit card I received a text message from Naji who asked me to please leave a Google or Facebook review for them, including the link in the text (this is why I believe they have so many reviews). I told her I had questions about the process because I didn't see him do anything differently in the separate rooms. She didn't text me back for TWO DAYS- What great customer service this is! When she finally did text back, she danced around every question I asked her, she did not give me one straight answer. You guessed it, after the carpet dried we could STILL SMELL THE VOMIT! I confronted her about this and she simply just kept repeating "sorry the biologic treatment is not guaranteed." My husband was so annoyed with the smell he found online that you can use laundry detergent and baking soda and the smell will go away. IT WORKED! I complained to Naji and explained that the two men I spoke to from their company both said the only odor left would be coming from the pad not the surface, but my husband was able to get the smell out of the carpet. I felt that we should rightfully get a portion of our money back for the "special biologic three-step treatment" that was so called performed. I kept telling Naji for days that the employees words were about the pad being soiled but my husband didn't clean the pad only carpet- like they so called did a few days earlier. She dragged this out for NINE WHOLE DAYS just to tell me once more, sorry there is no guarantee. I am beyond disgusted with this company, all I asked Naji for was $50 back (the price of the special biologic treatment) and that was not acceptable to them to remedy an upset customer. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, and will not stand behind what their employees say, they just hide behind their sorry, no guarantee line. After I had my horrible experience dealing with Naji I did more researched on the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WEBSITE. They have earned themselves a whopping D- SCORE, wow imagine that, after all I had been through this made sense. Trust me, if you are going to pay to have your carpets cleaned do not go through them! I also looked into several of their competitors in my area and how they were rated on BBB. Qualls Chem Dry Rating= A+, Stanley Steamer Rating= A, Common Cents Carpet Cleaning= A+, Green Solutions Cleaning LLC= A+, Father and Sons Carpet Cleaning A+... See where I am going here. I had a lengthy conversation where I described the area to be cleaned and answered all the questions before they gave me a quote. When the technician came, he charged me more than $100 more than the estimate. I understand that estimates may not be exact, but this was an increase of more than 20 percent. I really feel like this was a bait-and-switch. They gave me a low estimate to get the job, and once they were on site (and I had taken off work and arranged the cleaning with all my tenants), they gouged me on the price. I talked to the manager and she just gave me the song and dance about how estimates are not exact. Well then, train your estimators to ask better questions so they will not be so far off! Anyone considering hiring this company should look elsewhere. We had them do a $350 air duct cleaning after finishing our basement, and even though they were more expensive they had good reviews so we figured you pay for quality. While they were at our house they told my wife she needed to pay an additional $100 to do a complete job, and we don't appreciate being up-sold onsite after agreeing to a set price for obviously a complete job. Then after they left my wife looked into one of our vents and saw a ton of debris left. She took our vacuum and vacuumed it out and it looks like the second picture posted. I called, upset about the $100 up-selling and the fact they didn't do their job to begin with, and was told it was a serious issue so the VP would call me back. She did, and told me she would talk with the man that did the work and get back to me with a resolution the following day. That was August 23rd. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that things just got busy, but it's been a month. Terrible work done and terrible customer service, all the way up the chain. read more

Just had an excellent job done by a clean, polite, conscientious technician named Brandon. I had heard the KSL advertisements, and had a recommend from one friend. I was a bit skeptical when I Googled ZeroRez and found a bunch of poor reviews. I have learned to take online reviews with a grain of salt, and decided to give them a try. Brandon did an excellent job. I have WOOL carpet, which is very expensive, and requires special light-duty chemicals. I have personally cared for my carpet, so I have spent a lot of time researching what needs to be done. I was surprised and impressed that Brandon had some very good knowledge that matched my research. The carpets look clean and beautiful. He put out door and corner guards, brought a separate dryer so I could put my furniture back quickly, and wore shoe protectors. Before he left, he asked me to check the job and be certain I was satisfied. Excellent job! I would probably give 5 stars, but the stupid YELP algorithm would pull me out of the mix for being too nice. read more
