Staff are super friendly and everything was organized so well. While shopping in back for plants, I couldn't help but feel like I was in a friends's backyard. You know the type...they take an interest in hobbies, and have several projects in motion! i will definitely return when I am in the area. There is no on-site parking but there is plenty of street parking. They open at 10 AM, not 9 AM as posted in some places.

I am a dedicated thrift store enthusiast, generally seeking home décor, dishes, books and clothing, which is not really what Restore is stocking. On my first visit I left empty handed, though I saw some interesting things, and figured someday I'd get to the nitty gritty of Restore. Well, we just moved to the area, and are doing a ton of work on our property. My husband mentioned he needed some doors for our greenhouse, and I recalled seeing some at Restore, so we ended up returning just a few days following! Yeah, that's right, they have doors aplenty (like 50+), and that's just the start. We bought three doors (lol, so random), one of which is an antique farmhouse door with a giant pane of perfect glass. Swoon! Next, doorknobs for $5 and hinges for 50 cents each. My husband found several super specialty plumbing valves that retail for $250+ priced at $25 (seriously, I looked it up!). We also got a yellow fig for $5 'cause I needed a little fun! An aside regarding the plants: they get extras from nurseries, but they also get many from a local guy who just loves to grow plants, and they are gorgeous and giant! My fig was over 2 feet tall, there were huge hot pink hydrangeas, passion flower, herbs, tomatoes, etc. There is a variety of furniture, bits of flooring that would probably be enough for a bathroom remodel, toilets, sinks, light fixtures, paint, tools, hardware, appliances, etc. The store is large, easy to navigate and pretty organized, all things considered (it's still a thrift store, though!). A lot of it is used, but there are new things, too. Basically, if you are remodeling and not in search of a specific item/style/brand, Restore is the place. We are planning to build a tiny house in the future and Restore will be our go to spot. We'll look here first, then go to a big box store for anything additional. The prices can't be beat, there are some seriously unique finds, and every employee we've interacted with has been as pleasant as can be.

Leak fixed, but Oscar from A1 told me the water coming in was not just from the leak. Bad news on top of already bad plumbing news. Oscar could have just done his job, told me I had a bigger problem with water getting in from the ground, and left. But he continued to search for source of problem while cleaning out my crawlspace. He persevered and discovered the likely problem. I very much appreciated his diligence and perseverance to go the extra mile for me. I highly recommend this company.

The pipe from the kitchen sink failed and had water all over the crawl-space ground. I contacted these (incompetent) people to "RESTORE" the area when the plumber said it had to be done before they would come back. They gave me a quote of $2,800 to clean it up, replace all of the plastic tarp, and make it as before. This included an hourly assessment of the removal of the damaged insulation that had been attached between the floor joists. When they were done, and they sent pics, they only replaced the plastic in the affected area, when I paid for the complete area. I called them on it, they said the 'tech' overlooked that part of the contract, went back to the house and covered it all. But there was no insulation replaced for the damaged. Further, there were other areas of the house that didn't have insulation anymore for whatever reason. There was a vent/ grate missing that was allowing vermin to get into the house. They said NOTHING about the grate, NOTHING about the missing insulation and did not replace any insulation from the initial damage. I got pics from my brother-in-law...and so when I asked them about it, they said that the remainder was not on the scope of the estimate, so it wasn't their responsibility, and they did everything right. I said I have to have this fixed so send me a quote then for the rest. The second quote was for ANOTHER $2,800. I called the homeowners insurance to see what they recommended- he gave me a name and number (James@503.486.9777- insert 5 star review for James HERE). He came to the house (drove from Clackamas), assessed the needs, replaced the vent, installed insulation to the entire floor, replaced the old lights that had been damaged by mice. His price for the job was just over $1,400, with two guys to do it. If you read this all the way to the end, here is my recommendation: stay AWAY from this company. Their Amity office is closed (if this is how they do business, it's not a surprise). When I spoke with the guy today that called me to follow up on the second quote, I told him I didn't need them. He fell back on the 'we did everything we said we were going to do' line...haha. If they were reputable and wanted to build return business, they would have scoped the ENTIRE job out and told me what else needed to be done (ie: the vent, the missing insulation, etc). Instead, he was stuck on being right. Well, you can be right. And this business will probably wind up the same as the other in Amity....CLOSED. I have 8 houses total, and they all have something come up eventually. And instead of being able to give you a stellar review about this job, I have to write a complaint about the service. This could have been a really great piece of free advertising. But I'm sure you know what you're doing.

Work was performed multiple times without prior approval or any written scope changes. Communication was extremely poor--many of our calls and emails went unanswered, and we often had to follow up repeatedly to get basic information. We also found ourselves continuously having to check if they were doing things properly. For example, they neglected to take moisture readings before removing the drying equipment to ensure that our house was indeed dry. Although they apologized, the same issues continued throughout the project. Dealing with a home mitigation situation is already stressful, and the lack of communication and clarity only made it worse. It is incredibly unsettling not knowing what is happening in your own home. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Harris Restoration, especially for insurance-related work, where clear documentation, transparency, and consistent communication are essential.

Mitigation of a roof leak after rain/wind storm…read more I woke up the day before my flight to visit family for the holidays and found a puddle on my living room floor. It turned out to be a leak that soaked two walls, and I had to find help fast. Oregon Restoration replied to me immediately while other companies took hours to respond. Their friendly office staff calmly walked me through what to expect in the process and sent help that day. Danny arrived right on time and was friendly, professional, and thorough. He let me look at his instruments as he assessed the extent of the damage, shared pictures with me, explained what they would do and helped me understand next steps. After that as I was traveling, he kept in contact with me to make sure I knew what was happening at home. He also worked with my roommates to help them understand what was happening and arrange work visits. Every person on his team was respectful and helpful, and they checked the progress of the drying process regularly. Danny worked with my insurance adjuster to make sure everything went forward smoothly. I found the team helpful, responsive, and diligent, and I've contracted with Oregon Restoration for the repair portion of this journey as well. Thanks so much Danny!
