The Place- Nice Parking- Lot it small and shared with multiple other businesses. Street parking is also available. The price for the premium all you can eat sushi is on par with the other sushi restaurants in the valley. The Food- The sushi freshness was only so so. The size of the sushi was silly. It was about half the size of what you get at other places. It reminded me more of a finger food version of sushi where everything is miniature. The non sushi part of the menu was actually better than the sushi/roll portion. I am not mad that I tried this place but I will not be returning as there are many other better sushi spots. read more

It was not a good experience, even the water came with no ice, and I had to ask numerous times for iced water, and cups of ice, and refills. I came here to try their AYCE option (the regular $34.99) they have a solid specialty roll selection without being repetitive like other AYCE sushi spots. I'm not sure if it's the rice or sauce they use for the nigiri but it has a good/unique taste that enhanced even more when you did it in soy sauce that's I've never experienced with any other sushi I've had. Overall we had good service, inside they have a bar area, two dining sides and a few TVs. They have a shared parking lot which is a rare plus for a restaurant on Ventura Blvd. read more

My first time at this restaurant and I felt inclined to write the interview in the middle of eating because it was everything was so good!! I got about 5 variations of sushi, along with an albacore crispy onion roll, udon soup, a spicy tuna salad and a spicy albacore crispy rice appetizer. Most of the fish was very yummy and you could tell it was high quality. The only thing that I thought was just okay was the spicy tuna made here, as well as the fresh water eel. The eel had too marinated of a flavor and was missing eel sauce and was a bit dry, The spicy tuna too, I thought, needed some work. While it felt fresh, it didn't pass my taste test. All in all, this place is good and I would possibly come back. The design here is modern, with a bunch of booths and the sushi bar for dining in. The service was outstanding. 100% 5 star experience. I really can't think of one experience that we had during our dinner, that would cause Zeppin to get anything less than 5 stars from me! First, the prices for delicious, premium sushi just really can't be beat here. It's affordable for all you can eat (let's face it, sushi isn't cheap!), and what you get is QUALITY. Among my favorites were the baked mussels, tuna crispy rice, and the baked tilapia sushi roll (I do love cream cheese in sushi - I know, sometimes an unpopular opinion!). Also, the ice cream was delicious at the end too! So many flavors to choose from! The service was superb. Food came out quickly, and not tooooo fast that you're like,"Waittt...is this fresh?" Nope just with enough time to get settled in and to get my belly prepared for the appetizer - a few rolls and miso soup. All the servers were friendly, especially Jordan (superrrr sweet, helpful and kind!), and all the servers were hospitable, friendly, and also provided us with other food recs in the area to check out. Awesome! The ambiance was great! There was a large tv where some folks were watching sports, lighting was perfect (especially for pics!), families, couples, sushi bar seating area for when it's busy - just wonderful. Went here last month on a Sunday for lunch, me and my teen boys did the premium AYCE sushi as we prefer to order mainly nigiri, oysters and Uni. Pricing for regular menu is not that bad so if you're just going to get sushi rolls, you can just do regular menu. We ordered all the premium - you can get extra serving for additional price. The service was fast and efficient. We came early that it wasn't busy but by the time we left there were more customers that came in. This is my go-to in the area if I want some AYCE sushi. They have tv screens so you can also watch the games if you're into sports. Pretty casual and easy going place for a quick lunch or dinner. Came here for date night with the hubs on a Friday night. It was pretty busy, but we got sat right away. I must say the service was amazing. The staff was so attentive and all of our food and drinks came out quickly. We went for the regular AYCE and it was $36 a person. They do have a premium AYCE that costs a little more and includes things like oysters, uni etc. To start, we ordered their shishito peppers and they were delicious. I loved the sauce! We ordered a couple rolls and a ton of nigiri as well. The albacore, octopus and yellowtail were my favorite. Loved the presentation of all of the food we ordered. Also added a beer and hot sake to complete the meal! The AYCE also comes with ice cream for dessert. They had flavors like Thai tea, black sesame and matcha. The Thai flavor tea was amazing! I originally discovered Zeppin by way of a Yelp Elite Event and wanted to come back with my husband because I enjoyed the sushi so much. Wanted to try something new after the batting cages and mini golf with my kids and ended trying this new spot. I've got to say I think this spot is a hidden gem. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. The food I would say similar but different than other AYCE. The classic sushi doesn't use too much rice and the fish overall taste really fresh. I've got to say a pretty good place to try. I would have posted some pictures but the food was gone too fast. I came here in a weeknight for a quiet dinner while traveling for work. The place was busy but I was seated promptly. It was a pretty full night but the restaurant wasn't too loud, which was surprising. Service was pretty quick and my server George was really nice. Food came out promptly, which was surprising, but even more surprising, was the quality. I usually have lowered expectations with AYCE places but was pleased with the quality for the value. I highly recommend the spicy tuna crispy rice. I could eat that every day! I almost always order salmon nigiri when I have sushi and this place was no exception. The salmon was decent! I will definitely eat here again and it's a great dinner spot even if you're only entertaining yourself. Hopefully next time I can bring a companion! read more

You can order the AYCE here but do you want to eat all of it? If you're looking for quantity, this is it but I can't stomach fishy sushi. There is a two hour limit and the food comes out fast but the actual sushi is average at best. The gyozas, edamame, tempura and the appetizers were okay. The rolls are probably the way to go if you're eating here. Sushi sounds simple but it really comes down to the quality of the fish and how the rice is made and tastes. The sushi at any Japanese super market or even Ralph's was probably better than what you're going to get here. Three stars is generous for their sushi. The service is fine though and I do love dessert. Parking is easy with them having a dedicated shared parking lot. Was greeted as soon as my party walked in the door. I was offered two options for the AYCE sushi option: a regular for $34.99 and premium for $47.99. I went with the regular and must say I was impressed. The fish quality was good especially for an AYCE and they didn't "over rice" the Nigiri or rolls. Service was great. Only two gripes; no modifications or changes what so ever to the rolls and they use a sauce on their nigiri that has a fermented taste that becomes overbearing. read more

I have been craving coming here since the Yelp Elite event over a month ago. Mom and I finally found the time and hunger. Abby and Vico took care of us. They were absolutely wonderful. They explained the difference between the regular AYCE and premium AYCE menus. We went for the premium and it did not disappoint. The must orders: The baked muscles. They are cooked to perfection and not overly filled with eel sauce or may. All of the carpaccio dishes are incredible, especially the garlic tuna and spicy albacore. (It's also why you should go premium) The nigiri rolls are also fantastic. I also love the triple lotus and spicy tuna salad. They're great for in between the fishier dishes. The day we came, the chef was new and accidentally mixed up some of our dishes, though. We ended up with the seaweed salad and Ultimate Salmon Roll. They were just okay. The inside is clean and comfortable. The music was a little loud when we were there. An excellent ending is the delicious ice cream. I can't believe I sill had room after all we ate. read more

The AYCE sushi and rolls is $34.99. The sushi portions are half the size of the a la carte. It's still a good deal. The service is slower and they do not have some of the items from the menu (ie salmon collar). The happy hour drinks at $5/sake is also a good deal. The soft shell crab (one per person) is part of the AYCE menu for the first round. Subsequent orders are at $0.99 and not free as part of the AYCE menu. The seaweed salad was slimy and not crunchy. Yay to bringing back their old menu and more. Came here for an event last week and enjoyed everything we ordered. We came back again today for their late happy hour menu. I seriously can't believe the prices and quality of the food. People say you get what you pay for. Well, that's not the case here. Prices are wonderful for the amount, quality of the food. From the appetizers to rolls to sushi to even sashimi. This was by far one of my favorite sushi restaurant until covid hit and they changed their menu. The servers themselves are great, but it seemed like they were understaffed for a busy Friday night. Improvements needed: There was a long line at the front to get a table, and there was no hostess to get parties in the queue. Staff come and go at the front but they ignore you or prioritize to-go orders. The dirty white stools they seat you on also need to be cleaned as they were all scuffed with black marks.
