I came to Donna after hearing great things from my sister and friends…read more I was scheduled for the week before but Donna texted me to let me know some horrible news (horrible to me because i was looking forward to my appointment); basically we can not stay for a certain amount of time after closing which was understandable. Even though we moved my appointment to a week later, she offered a discount to compensate the inconvenience. ** great customer service! ** My appointment was around 5:00pm and got out the door right at 8:00pm on Friday night. (Ready to go out!) She coloured my hair from black with some caramel balayage to a rooty blonde/silver balayage. I was really impressed actually because my hair has not been this light in many years. So all in all, I left happy with my new hair and would receive endless compliments on it. THANK YOU! PS. When you're going lighter with dark hair, don't expect miracles. Go into your appointment with an open mind and lower your expectations.

Super fun and outgoing personality to chat with, especially since you're going to be spending 4-5h with your stylist, it's important to get along with them. She was really knowledgeable about hair and colouring, made sure to give me exactly what I wanted and most importantly was able to stay within her price estimation that she gave me during my consultation (most stylists aren't as flexible or accurate, and prefer giving a base price and then often going way above it on the day of the appointment which is understandable, but I really appreciated that of Donna). Definitely will be coming back and I would recommend anyone who wants beautiful hair to give her a try!!

Warm and friendly and inviting! Alexa, who was to cut my hair, was very friendly, communicating with me about what I wanted and had a great personality. She took her time, was thorough and the end result was a perfect cut! I read other reviews about this place, mostly really good and now would tell anyone not to believe the negative. The business was well run, great team and lovely interior. Plus they had little extra touches like scalp massage before the shampoo, relaxing you from the start. I would definitely recommend and return.

She told me she's been doing it for a while. Which didn't tell me anything. I told her I wanted to see her colour chart she had chosen and did want me to see it and said she matched my hair colour. Then a guy came along and ask me to fill out a form that was two pages long and sign it. Wtf. Even wanted to know my allergies. I told him I would've mentioned if I was allergic to any hair colour because this wasn't my first rodeo. Plus wanted more personal info and wanted me to sign my name! All I wanted was to touch up my roots! Well at this point it was too late in the day to find another salon so I signed the damn form. She took almost 45 min. to apply the colour and I have short hair!! She took me to rinsed my hair and filled my ears (both sides) with water several times and By that time I just wanted to walk out. Not even asking me if I needed a Q-tip or towel. She took me back to the chair and asked me if I wanted any product in my hair. I told her no. Then she asked how I want my hair styled with the hair dryer. I told her I would like to do it myself. Then she said in her high teenage voice No! I'm not comfortable that you use my equipment. So, I said did I hear you right? Then her boss said that it was a liability issue. I told her I would take full responsibility in drying my own hair. She said no. I said so you're just going to let me walk out of here with wet hair? And she said that's your choice. So I went to pay and they tried to charged me more than what was quoted to me! I said no! I'm paying. What I was quoted And left! Two frikken hours of of sarcastic behaviour from an unexperienced teenager! Definitely not respectful to seniors!

I called Erin to see when she could meet with me to take a look at it. I was very lucky to be able to meet with her within the same week but before we even met, she was nice enough to give me a few tips about how I could tone down the yellow/orange myself in the meantime. During the consultation, I felt so comfortable with Erin and I really knew that she was listening to what I didn't like about my hair currently and also what I wanted to achieve with the new colour correction. Erin's salon is so nicely decorated and the vibe is chilled out and relaxed. After a few hours of good conversation, not only did she fix my hair, she totally exceeded my expectations. During the initial consultation, I showed her a picture of highlights I really liked and my hair turned out so similar that I was super happy with the result. I am so glad I chose Erin to fix my hair and I look forward to returning again and again to maintain it!

Marcia said she would cut my hair and when the girl showed up, she would do my highlights....ok I guess... I don't think Marcia has ever cut hair before because she said "I cut hair dry" fine.. so she proceeds to just take random chunks and snip the ends. There was basically no hair on the ground and when I got home, it was TOTALLY CROOKED! The girl never showed up to color my hair and when she was finally called to see where she was, she said she was sick and had left a msg with the owner earlier that day. Marcia neglected to check her msgs I guess and basically I went home very upset that I didnt have my hair done and that I have crooked hair. I have since tried to call daily to express my sadness in CROOKED hair but no one answers the phone, go figure! If you want your hair done, DONT GO HERE! I dont even think she has ever cut hair before. This was a total joke of a hair salon and for a new owner, she really didnt seem to apologize too much for the ridiculous experience i had. Enjoy crooked hair if you go here!
