Our master bedroom closets turned out great! They originally just had a boring shelf and bar. Art met us for a free consultation, providing measurements and designs on the spot which turned out to be very close to what we ended up choosing. The quality of the wood and craftsmanship is excellent. Fits right into our reach-in closets and all shelving is adjustable. The closets are roomy and sturdy. No issues with installation either. We had a couple of communication issues with Art since we primarily talked through text, but we are happy overall. On top of everything, Art gave us a killer deal! Very happy with the closets. read more

We recently moved into a new home, and faced the challenge of not having enough storage space in our bedrooms without a walk-in closet. So we contacted California Closets and Zen Space Solutions for quotes. I was very impressed with Trevor when he came to do a free estimate - he had a lot of helpful suggestions about how to arrange the closets to get the most use out of them. And his quote was substantially less than California Closets for what seems like a better quality product (because it's attached to the walls and the floor, not just ceiling and walls). The best part is that he was able to give us the estimate on Wednesday and his team put in the closets on Saturday (3 days later!), just ahead of our move-in date. His team was very professional, worked quickly and produced great-looking closets that have doubled (at least) our usable storage space. We are thrilled with our new closets and would recommend Trevor and Zen Space Solutions to anyone. read more

The customer service and quality of workmanship can't be beat. Trevor is a master at designing a space that not only meets your budget, but maximizes your storage space. He is honest, fair and easy to work with; most of all, he is a good listener allowing his designs to reflect your storage needs. It was obvious Trevor has many years of experience. This is our third installation with Zen Space Solutions and we have been extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship and care of our home during installation. The installers protected our hardwood floors, wore booties on their feet and cleaned up before leaving. Truly a professional company that I would highly recommend. read more

As part of our master bedroom remodel we decided to customize our closets. As part of our research we met extensively with 5 local closet suppliers and received varies designs and estimates, however, we were most impressed with Zen Space Solutions. Trevor is a very talented designer whom is committed to offering a quality product, with excellent customer service, and competitive pricing. I highly recommend Zen Space Solutions and plan to refer them to my friends. read more

I have nothing but high praise for Zen Space Solutions. Trevor came over exactly on time. He did his measurements swiftly and professionally, and created a design that was exactly what we wanted. His crew, Luis and Jose, came over about a week later, and worked fast. They were professional, did everything exactly right, and left after leaving the workspace neat and clean. After they were done, Trevor got in touch to ensure that everything went well. There is frankly nothing I could have asked for. BTW, I also got quotes from a few other competitors, including some big named ones. Some of them arrived with fancy CAD software, but the reason I gave Zen Space the contract was because I could see that Trevor was the only one who approached the design and measurements right. Moreover, his quote was definitely lesser than that of the competitors, although they all offered similar products. If anything, Zen Space's was better. I recommend Zen Space unhesitatingly. These guys are pros, and very courteous and efficient. read more

Trevor was vey patient and made two trips just to finalize the design. He has some good ideas and he is also willing to listen to our needs. We had to reschedule the installation do to delays from the general contractor, and Trevor was very accommodating. Overall, excellent work and attention to details! read more

Zen Space Solutions - Garage cabinets designed by Trevor and installed by Zen Space Solution. - Interior Design Near Me - San Jose, California

We had two reach-in closets made by Zen Space and are quite happy with the construction quality, pricing and usability of the closets. The installers were quite good and cleaned up very well before leaving. I do have some suggestions based on our experience: 1) During the consulation with Trevor, have him explain the design not just on paper but at the actual location of the closet. This will ensure that there is no misunderstanding in terms of the design. 2) Periodically check the work that the installers are doing. I observed a slightly misaligned drawer that the installer had overlooked. When I pointed it out, the installer fixed the issue promptly. read more

We recently purchased a new house and want to redo all the reach-in and walk-in closets to maximize their function. We got bids from two contractors (Zen Space and California Closet). We chose to go with Trevor because we believe he can deliver 100% what he promised and at a similar price, his closets use more materials. We are extremely satisfied with the result. In particular, Trevor is nice enough to accommodate our wish for an early installation date--we contacted him only two weeks before our move-in date and wanted everything done before that. Trevor did not promise anything at the time we signed the contract because he did not want to give us false expectation. Eventually he worked his way around and get us in a week before the move-in date. The installers came and finished everything in 6 hours. The closets look great and inviting. We will definitely engage the service of Trevor again when we consider doing our home office and garage storage in the future. Zen Space is strongly recommended for anyone and everyone that need storage solutions to their homes. read more

I found zen spaces through Yelp and it worked out great so thought of adding my share of review. I called to get a quote, the person in charge (he is the owner) asked quick questions and told me the price range. He came on schedule to give proper quote (and take measurements). The price was very competitive. He sent a painter day before and he did a very thorough job. Our work was scheduled to be completed in 2 days and it was done few hours early. Both the guys were very professional and did a thorough job. Will recommend this place to my friends. read more

I found Trevor and Zen Space Solutions because of the great Yelp reviews, so I gave him a try and he didn't disappoint. It's nice to deal with the owner of a company directly. We have limited closet space in our master bedroom, so we asked him how to make better use of our space. He drew a plan on the spot, showing us how he could to remodel the existing closet and add a wall unit with hanging, shelf and drawer space. We decided to do just the wall unit first, and had it installed yesterday. We're very pleased with the whole experience, from Trevor, to the installation guy (sorry, forgot his name, but he was a real pro), to the finished product. The whole thing looks very customized and professional, down to the baseboards and mouldings read more

This is how a well managed business should be. We got out MBR closet done recently. Trevor came on time for the design appointment. we did a couple of iterations on design and agreed on the design. Trevor quickly made the drawings and gave us an estimate. we were in a hurry to get the installation done and Trevor scheduled us within 9 days for the installation. The guy who came for the tear out was very professional too. After the tear out and painting was done, the installers came in the next day. Very professional, didn't even take a break til the work was done. The price was slightly lower than another popular large company. The quality is very similar for all the companies. One suggestion i have is that these guys can use a design software so its easier for the customers to visualize. It does add time of course. Overall very happy with Tervor and his team. read more

This has been a long time coming! I am very impressed with the service and the quality of the products that I got from Zen Space Solutions. We got a Master Closet and a Garage installed by the company at the end of July 2013 and they did a fabulous job. There were a couple of hiccups during installation but they were smoothed over very efficiently by Trevor. It took a little longer than anticipated; However, there was attention to detail and my smallest concerns were addressed to my satisfaction. We are overall pleased with our purchase and have received many compliments on the installed cabinets. Now to make sure it all stays in the cabinets. One more piece of advise, listen to Trevor. He doesn't sugar coat it and sometimes it doesn't sound right, but really, he knows what he is talking about ;) Thank you, Zen Space Solutions. read more

Trevor came and advised us on what he thought might work best for both my closet, my girlfriend's and her home office we wanted to create. He is a closet visionary! It came out beautifully. He guided us every step of the way. We didn't feel like he was trying to upsell sell. He gave us great advice and quality of the install was great! Any minor touch ups we pointed out were completed without question or additional cost. We would highly recommend Trevor and Zen Space! read more

Trevor installed an office and closets 10 years ago, then moved the office to another room after a remodel. He returned today to give an estimate and made suggestions to existing closets that would save me a lot of money. He has been honest every time! He's talented and forthright with his suggestions. Zen Space just completed my project to design and install cabinets and a work space in my garage. Trevor was professional, super easy to work with and his design made optimal use of the space. This review comes with the caveat that the work done was recent so I can't speak to the long term quality of the organizer, but judging from the care and consideration Art and team put into their business I doubt I'll have any issues. read more

Excellent experience from the very beginning. I absolutely love my new closets. Trevor, the owner, is so helpful and easy to work with. He had great ideas and showed me pictures of work done in the past by the company so I could really visualize what the closets would look like. Called Trevor to add storage units to the garage in our newly purchased Santa Cruz home and ended up having him install storage solutions in all 3 bedrooms and as well as the garage. Great crew and Trevor was able to squeeze us into the schedule so all work could be completed before our move-in date. Great service. Highly recommended! read more

Trevor and his team did a great job with the closet system in our master bedroom. I'm glad I waited a few days (he called me 3-4 days after I left him message). Trevor came on time and quickly gave us practical suggestions. It took him five minutes to sketch a design and we liked it. His quote was very reasonable. Our contractor delayed painting/floor because of new year break. Trevor worked with us on the timing and he even managed to schedule the installation on the day I wanted with very short notice. His crew installed the closet in about three hours, very professional. Because of a overlooked power outlet, the crew had to change the closet design a little to convert a hanging section to shelves. Trevor delivered the shelves to my house without extra charge. Thank you, Trevor! We highly recommend Zen Space Solutions! read more

There are many closet companies in the bay area, some franchise and some independently owned. With most of the house work related companies I worked with in the process of setting up my new home, I had to compromise on at least one or two aspects of the whole project like getting a great deal in terms of price and having to compromise on the other aspects like delivery date or even the over all quality or having to pay more money to get the other terms right. Not with Rick and his team at Zen Space solutions! These guys are a 5 out of 5 in all the aspects of the process. Rick was very professional, designed the whole project right the way we wanted after patiently creating multiple iterations of the designs and still gave us an awesome price for the whole job. It does not stop there - we were on a time crunch, so he went the extra mile to setup an early installation date that worked perfectly for us. The installation guys are very efficient, fixed every thing perfectly. Rick came back to inspect every thing, caught minor cosmetic improvements that even we did not notice and got them fixed! I am flatly impressed with the level of commitment he showed in the whole process. We strongly recommend Rick and Zen Space Solutions to any one looking for space and storage solutions. read more

We recently completed a master closet remodel and an office/men's valet wardrobe in our home. We were very pleased in working with Zen Space Solutions. We worked with Trevor on the planning and design and then Miguel and his team did the installation. We are thrilled with the results. We interviewed 5 closet companies, and Zen Space Solutions stood out on design & pricing. Our master closet was pretty straight forward, and all bids were similar in design. We have a large sitting area off our master bedroom that had been used as an office and had become a "catch all" clutter space. We decided to add a valet wardrobe & redo the office. Trevor brought us designs that we hadn't considered, and worked perfectly with the space for closet and office needs. Zen's quotes were the most competitive with comparable materials. The team was very professional in the planning & installation. They came back and made adjustments to make sure everything was to our complete satisfaction. Highly recommend Zen Space Solutions. Quality craftsmanship and professional installation. read more

Trevor and his team do an excellent job and provide excellent service. We had got done our master closet and complete cabinet system in the garage in 2010. After 8 years we had them do the remaining reach-in closets. Trevor is a master at his work and designs the closets in few minutes. He also gives honest feedback and practical ideas/suggestions. He is very flexible in making design changes. His team is very quick and good at installation. The closets are very sturdy with quality material used. We needed two more shelves and Trevor got them delivered at our home. Overall excellent service with excellent quality work by Zen Space!! We will use their services again, whenever required. read more

These guys are AWESOME !!!! We had a great experience with Zen solutions last year. Consultation was great - they talked us out of a more expensive office install that would not have been optimal for the space available. We eventually settled on two custom closet installs. The instillation went great and the clean up was perfect and they hauled away all the old materials - even the stuff I had moved to the garage after the prep. work A few days later we realized that one of the two closet set-ups we had decided-on was not working for us. No problem for these guys, they came back changed out the laundry hampers for more drawers - only charging for the difference in the costs (in effect they took back all the wrong parts and did a second install all for free). The quality of the cupboards and the standard of installation is great, pricing was reasonable for what we ordered. I wrote this partially because I read of the highly unlikely scenario presented in one of the other reviews and wanted to partially redress the balance by relating our great experience. We will ABSOLUTELY use these guys for our next project. They give good advice and up-sell is not in their vocabulary; be prepared to discuss your requirements in depth. These guys really are as goo-as-it-gets. read more

We have used closet companies before and had some basic problems that turned project into a mess, not the case when Trevor from Zen Space Solutions came into our lives. We knew right away he was our guy, no bull, he gave us a better system without using our old closet organizer for our new walk in closet like the other closet companies for less cost. We liked this company so much we had them do our custom tuff shed we put in our yard for the kids. Also now refer him and his guys and feel very comfortable that he will do a great job at a great price. This is definitly a company that cares and is worth the time to let bid your project, you will not be disappointed. Larry & Kim read more

I wanted to get our Master bedroom closet done. I found "Zen space solutions" on the internet and decided to consult with them after seeing excellent reviews on Yelp. Trevor from Zen space solutions responded to my consultation request promptly and arrived on time for our appointment. He assessed our closet space and offered design solutions on the spot and gave us very good visualization of how the end product would look through pictures of his previous designs. He was able to anticipate potential issues and tailor the design accordingly. He also incorporated all our inputs and requests and gave us the final plan and estimate within the same appointment. The price he quoted was also very reasonable. We were very impressed with his expertise and decided to go with his company as there was no reason not to. There were no issues in setting the installation date to the one that worked for us. Installation went very smoothly as well. His crew who did the installation were focused and efficient. Overall the experience was very good and we now have a done closet that we love every time we step in there. read more

Zen Space Solutions is one of the best interior design companies I've ever worked with. Their designs are fresh and they employ a talented staff that is capable of thinking outside of the box. When I asked for a unique redesign for my living room, they didn't rehash the same old concepts. Instead, they took the time to draw up several vastly different designs and it made me feel valued as a customer. read more

I've had Zen actually build a fireplace mantel and integrated set of bookshelves, and I do have an eye for craftsmanship in finish carpentry. The finer details really matter. And these folks cater especially well to my OCD personality. In my case, I simply provided a high level vision of what I wanted and the general style - classic raised panel, ogee moldings and cornices, etc... And they came back with something that exeeded my expectations. read more

I filled out the form online to schedule a consultation, and called this company 3 times. Each time I spoke to someone who said they were unable to schedule me at that moment because they were driving, or didn't have the schedule book, etc. that was fine and understandable. But at the end of all 3 conversations, they said someone would call me back. No one has called me back from all three of the phone calls I made. They may do a good job once you can finally get a hold of them, but to me, this is not a very professional way to run a business. I'll take my business elsewhere! read more

1 week and multiple calls to get someone to take measurements for closets. No updates/estimates after 10 days. What a waste of time

We are very happy with the job done by zen space. We had a reasonably large job (3 walk-ins, 3 reach-ins, and a garage). My wife and I did our home work and got quotes from three competiting companies, Zen Space, California Closet and Closet Factory. Not saying that the other companies are not good, but Trevor at Zen space was able to best fit our needs in his designs without compromising on material and quality. Trevor also offered numerous free upgrades to sweeten the deal. His workers came on time and took great care in their work (we had new hardwook flooring). We'd recommed Trevor to anyone looking for closet solutions. read more

Trevor designed both our master bedroom closet and our baby's room's closet. He is very professional and did an amazing job for both projects. We had custom closet from the previous owner in the master bedroom that we had to bear with for 15 years. I'm petite so i always had to use a step stool to put away my husband's clothes who is 5' 11". Trevor made it easier for me to get clothes off the upper hang without using a step stool. He added a lot of shelf space and more hanging space. Our new master bedroom closet was definitely life changing. Both my husband and I are very pleased with his work. For the nursery, he added bins and made it easy to transform it into one that can be used by an adult when we eventually sell the house down the road. The people who installed the closets for him are also very professional. They clean up well afterwards. Thank you Trevor for designing our closets. I highly recommend Zen Space solutions. It costs a little more than other custom closet design companies, but it's worth every penny. read more

I was looking to convert my unfinished garage into a recreation room for the kids, but I had so much junk and no place to put it. I called Zen Space Solutions, and Trevor came out and talked with me, took measurements and helped me solidify what I wanted for the space. We came up with a plan to put in cabinets that would still allow our family to park cars (should we want to change it back into a garage) but provide me with enough space for storage right now (to house my husband's tools, the kids toys and all the supplies that I get from Costco). He put the plans together in a timely fashion, and, even though he was busy, he scheduled me for installation fairly quickly (I think I wanted it done before my New Year's party). His crew came to do the install and they were neat, efficient and faster than I expected. They cleaned up after themselves and seemed like nice guys. I am VERY pleased with the cabinets! My garage is now the envy of all my friends with kids - the space looks very clean and spacious, and it's great having the kids in their own area with their friends (I cannot hear them playing ping pong or XBox - yay!!!) I am so glad that I did not try to 'do it myself' with the Home Depot cabinets that I was looking at. I would highly recommend this company. They did a great job! read more

I prefer to support small businesses, and highly recommend Trevor Taylor and his company. I had 3 bedroom closets to organize. Trevor came over, talked me through the designs for each closet in detail, then sat down in front of each closet and drew the plans. I was thoroughly impressed with his design to maximize the space in my small closets. In comparison, I had a representative from a "larger company" come before Trevor to give an estimate. His presentation was quite a contrast. It started with a glossy booklet brochure, mentioned the lifetime warranty and quality of the materials, with less focus on design than Trevor. No contest, the designs Trevor proposed were much more functional and Zen's prices were a little less than the other company's for more shelving. The actual installation went smoothly. 2 staff came to install within 4-5 hours they were done. I was impressed they barely took any breaks. They set up a saw on the driveway, and cleaned up/ vacuumed very nicely. I love the finished products - stainless steel handles for the drawers, solidly built, every inch of space utilized. I would definitely use Zen again! read more
