His crew, Luis and Jose, came over about a week later, and worked fast. They were professional, did everything exactly right, and left after leaving the workspace neat and clean. After they were done, Trevor got in touch to ensure that everything went well. There is frankly nothing I could have asked for. BTW, I also got quotes from a few other competitors, including some big named ones. The installers were quite good and cleaned up very well before leaving. I do have some suggestions based on our experience: 1) During the consulation with Trevor, have him explain the design not just on paper but at the actual location of the closet. This will ensure that there is no misunderstanding in terms of the design. 2) Periodically check the work that the installers are doing. We chose to go with Trevor because we believe he can deliver 100% what he promised and at a similar price, his closets use more materials. We are extremely satisfied with the result. In particular, Trevor is nice enough to accommodate our wish for an early installation date--we contacted him only two weeks before our move-in date and wanted everything done before that. Trevor did not promise anything at the time we signed the contract because he did not want to give us false expectation. We have limited closet space in our master bedroom, so we asked him how to make better use of our space. He drew a plan on the spot, showing us how he could to remodel the existing closet and add a wall unit with hanging, shelf and drawer space. We decided to do just the wall unit first, and had it installed yesterday. This is how a well managed business should be. We got out MBR closet done recently. Trevor came on time for the design appointment. we did a couple of iterations on design and agreed on the design. Trevor quickly made the drawings and gave us an estimate. we were in a hurry to get the installation done and Trevor scheduled us within 9 days for the installation. The guy who came for the tear out was very professional too. After the tear out and painting was done, the installers came in the next day. Very professional, didn't even take a break til the work was done. The price was slightly lower than another popular large company. The quality is very similar for all the companies. I filled out the form online to schedule a consultation, and called this company 3 times. Each time I spoke to someone who said they were unable to schedule me at that moment because they were driving, or didn't have the schedule book, etc. that was fine and understandable. But at the end of all 3 conversations, they said someone would call me back. No one has called me back from all three of the phone calls I made. They may do a good job once you can finally get a hold of them, but to me, this is not a very professional way to run a business. I'll take my business elsewhere! read more

These guys are AWESOME !!!! We had a great experience with Zen solutions last year. Consultation was great - they talked us out of a more expensive office install that would not have been optimal for the space available. We eventually settled on two custom closet installs. The instillation went great and the clean up was perfect and they hauled away all the old materials - even the stuff I had moved to the garage after the prep. work A few days later we realized that one of the two closet set-ups we had decided-on was not working for us. No problem for these guys, they came back changed out the laundry hampers for more drawers - only charging for the difference in the costs (in effect they took back all the wrong parts and did a second install all for free). The quality of the cupboards and the standard of installation is great, pricing was reasonable for what we ordered. I wrote this partially because I read of the highly unlikely scenario presented in one of the other reviews and wanted to partially redress the balance by relating our great experience. We will ABSOLUTELY use these guys for our next project. They give good advice and up-sell is not in their vocabulary; be prepared to discuss your requirements in depth. I was looking to convert my unfinished garage into a recreation room for the kids, but I had so much junk and no place to put it. I called Zen Space Solutions, and Trevor came out and talked with me, took measurements and helped me solidify what I wanted for the space. We came up with a plan to put in cabinets that would still allow our family to park cars (should we want to change it back into a garage) but provide me with enough space for storage right now (to house my husband's tools, the kids toys and all the supplies that I get from Costco). He put the plans together in a timely fashion, and, even though he was busy, he scheduled me for installation fairly quickly (I think I wanted it done before my New Year's party). His crew came to do the install and they were neat, efficient and faster than I expected. They cleaned up after themselves and seemed like nice guys. I am VERY pleased with the cabinets! I prefer to support small businesses, and highly recommend Trevor Taylor and his company. I had 3 bedroom closets to organize. Trevor came over, talked me through the designs for each closet in detail, then sat down in front of each closet and drew the plans. I was thoroughly impressed with his design to maximize the space in my small closets. In comparison, I had a representative from a "larger company" come before Trevor to give an estimate. His presentation was quite a contrast. It started with a glossy booklet brochure, mentioned the lifetime warranty and quality of the materials, with less focus on design than Trevor. No contest, the designs Trevor proposed were much more functional and Zen's prices were a little less than the other company's for more shelving. The actual installation went smoothly. 2 staff came to install within 4-5 hours they were done. I was impressed they barely took any breaks. They set up a saw on the driveway, and cleaned up/ vacuumed very nicely. I love the finished products - stainless steel handles for the drawers, solidly built, every inch of space utilized.
