I attended the Fresno Home Show specifically to find patio furniture. I was delighted that Zen Patio was there and had EXACTLY what I was looking for. Joe and John were there and helped a great deal with the transaction. I was told I would receive my furniture by 6/6 which was better than anticipated. After reading other reviews, I decided to write one of my own which I NEVER do to let you all know their service after the sale was great! Sharon in their office was responsive and helpful when following up on delivery date information. Much to my surprise Joe and John were the team that also delivered my new patio furniture on 6/4. The customer service is awful and I am beginning to think this company is a scam. I don't write many reviews but yes the customer service and everything was amazing 3 years ago BUT now they are horrible. They ignore your calls or they pick up and have no idea what you are talking about. Then weeks later they finally take initiative and then ordered replacement cushions for the backrest and then 2 weeks later still haven't done anything. On top of that they are now tells us we have to buy the whole set now and we can't just buy the backrests after they said it wasn't a problem. We've taken great care of these cushions and they have already ripped because of the heat and sun. Poor products. We are very disappointed in Zen Patio and their customer service. At first Sharon was communicating with me but now haven't heard from her in months. If we could find the set somewhere else we would have. We have requested a refund but Sharon has never gotten back to us. Absolutely no communication since October 2021. We just purchased a patio set today and could not have been more pleased with the service and quality of the furniture. We've been shopping for about six months and the problem is that we have high end taste and a tight budget but didn't want to settle for Lowes/Home Depot because our current set is rusted and falling apart. We visited the store twice and dealt with Joe. They do not have many employees so sit tight and take a chill pill if another customer comes in -- share the love. We never felt ignored or not attended to. And we had two littles in tow with us too and the owner was very kind as they tried out the furniture. They do have a warranty too which was important to us. I do not often write review but I need to let everyone know to not buy anything from this company because you will never actually see the product. I ordered a 11 piece dining set on April 11, 2021 and I still have not received the patio set. I was told the fright would arrive into the port the week of 5/24 and I was told it did arrive after reaching out to Sharon for an update. Then on 6/16 was advised that the container made it to the warehouse after sending numerous messages to Sharon for an update. Then on 6/23 I was advised that my order would ship by Friday ( I guess i should have asked what Friday because here I sit on 8/5 and still do not have it). Then I was told on 7/8 that it would be shipping on 7/9 and that was the last time I received an updates from Sharon. I have reached out numerous times since and received no response. It is a shame that it has come to this because I really was looking forward to receiving this dining set and using it during the summer. I will update this review if I ever do get the dining set. **PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCAHSING** All of the reviews about this company are accurate! Just a good Samaritan who wants to prevent others from making the same mistake. Before purchasing, I also made the mistake of not reading any of the company's reviews. I was just thinking about how critical it is to support small businesses. I've never written a review in my life, but this company is the worst! They don't even deserve one star. My patio furniture was ordered on April 12, 2021, and it arrived on April 19, 2021. When the delivery guys arrived, they immediately began unloading my patio dining set. One of the delivery guys told me after unloading my patio dining set that they couldn't find the base to one of the swivel chairs. Then he stated he was going to talk to Sharon about getting the base shipped out as soon as possible. I agreed and asked him to make a note of it on the invoice. Since the only thing that was missing was the base, I figured I'd have it in no time. I was completely WRONG! I have yet to receive my base, which is currently July 28, 2021. I would call numerous times and their phone was either too full to receive messages or was no longer in business. The time that I was able to leave a message, Sharon would return some of my calls and to only say that she would look into the status of my missing base and let me know, which she never called me back. I've left numerous messages recently, and they will not return any of my calls. At this point, I have no choice but to report them to as many platforms as I can. ALL I NEED IS TO GET THE MISSING BASE TO ONE OF MY SWIVEL CHAIRS!!!! read more

We purchased 9 piece patio set two years ago and upgraded to what we were told were Sunbrella Cushions. One of the Cushions disintegrated. We called but were told the cushions weren't guaranteed. We offered to purchase it and we sent them a picture. Never heard from them again. Looking at the label on the cushions it says made in China, most likely not "Sunbrella". We purchased 7 pieces from Zen Patio a couple of weeks back. A great looking 3 seat couch, a couple of rocker chairs and four barstools. The quality seemed real nice, and the cushions were something we thought were better than most. We dropped in, and drop over $2K on everything within minutes. Joe was helpful, and apologized for not having all of the barstools. "I can assure you I will have them on Tuesday." We bought our patio furniture on Labor day weekend. I went back the following weekend, and was given the two bar stools we ordered. Everything was fine until we got them home, assembled them and realized they were taller than what we had originally bought. One of them has a bad pivot mount, and is very difficult to move. So we call... and we call. Voicemails, left messages, promises from the nice gal who answers the phone that someone will call me back. Nothing. So today I made a call, to my bank. I find that as an extremely poor customer follow up or service. I had not read these two other reviews b4 my purchase. Normally I do check Yelp reviews for local business b4 dealing with them. His company may have been a biggest Amazon seller for patio furnitures but when it comes to local customer they lack in professionalism as far as answering or returning calls-msgs. Oh well. Drive 100 miles / 2 hours from Ventura, arrived at store at 3pm, the OPEN neon sign was lit but the doors were locked and no note was on the door as to when they would open. Came by their store at 5 pm yesterday. No one was there. It says they are open till 7pm. Called their phone 3 times and no answer. I had gone in their store the previous weekend, and I was looking around, and the guy there was helping us, but when another family came in he waited on them and just ignored us. I went to their website and it says on Google not to trust the site. Some sort of malware. Finally had a call back from the lady running the place and when I told her I was not comfortable with all these issues and that I was not sure I want to buy furniture from there, she was like okay, and off the phone just like that. We had great service at the the store when we purchased the furniture. We purchased a table with 6 chairs, umbrella, two lounge chairs, and two swivel chairs with an ottoman. Deliver was ok but they only sent 1 man who needed help carrying the furniture. 1 year after purchase the cushions deteriorated even though we stored them during the winter. Call the store at least 10 different times and they said they would call us back but never did. We heard different excuses such as insurance claim was filed, the cushions are being shipped but haven't received them, let me check to see if they came in on the new shipment and I will call you back, I don't know anything about it because I only work weekends and I will call you back (even though she is the one I talked to multiple times). The excuses go on and on. 5 months later still no replacement cushions and never a call back. Customer service is customer unfriendly. read more
