My brother and sister-in-law took us here, and luckily, we arrived early enough to avoid the line and snag the last available table. Moments later, a long line was forming outside! Truth be told, I'm not usually a fan of katsu, although my entire family loves it. We ordered both the regular and thick-cut pork katsu sets to compare, along with oysters, a seafood mix, jumbo scallops, mushrooms, and Kumidashi cold tofu. My favorite was the scallops. Everything except the tofu was fried, and WOW! The katsu here is unlike what I've had elsewhere. Perfectly crispy, clean-tasting, not greasy, moist on the inside, and seasoned just right. I also enjoyed the ritual of grinding sesame seeds to mix into my katsu sauce. The iced green tea was wonderfully refreshing, and refills were included--a nice bonus! Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Coming from someone who doesn't typically gravitate toward katsu, I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Now I understand what all the hype is about!

Everything from the menus, the decor, the dishware will really make you feel like you're in Japan. The food here is so delicious!! I would highly recommend the thick cut pork loin Katsu. The service is also very quick and polite. Lowlights: The restaurant is very small and they pack a lot of tables inside so they don't allow strollers. I imagine it would be hard to dine with a large group.

The only thing I hate about this place is how busy the parking lot can be on some days. This time that I came which was after 7pm on a Thursday there was a lot of parking and the restaurant only had one other party present. We were seated right away and we ordered right away. We all got a chicken katsu curry regular plate. I ordered mines with level 3 spice but to be honest I should have ordered mine with none. I am a bit sensitive to spice so level 3 was pretty spicy to me. They give a generous amount and prices are reasonable here. I recommend this place and I would definitely keep coming back!

Curry was super spicy, eventho I order spiciness level 3, can't imagine how spicy it is number 10. There was a lot of curry sauce it could literally be used for other dish. I couldn't finish my meal. With calming music playing in the background, it honestly felt like we were in a spa about to get a massage--so much so that it felt like we couldn't make any noise. lol. We ordered the bento box with chicken katsu and the chicken katsu omurice. The miso soup stood out in a good way--it tasted rich and comforting, not powdery like some miso soups can be. The chicken katsu was thick, juicy, and well-cooked, which we enjoyed. That said, the curry itself was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really wow us. The omurice also wasn't very exciting in terms of flavor. Overall, Kare is a clean, peaceful spot with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. It's a good option for curry if you're already in the plaza, though it wouldn't be my first choice if I were specifically craving curry.

The service is so amazing. The server was friendly and greeted us with a smile. He was patient while we were deciding what to order and also stopped by to help us with anything we need. The restaurant isn't too big but can still hold a large party of 9 or 10 at most. Every entree we ordered was very good. Good portion size to share so you can try several dishes and the prices are very reasonable. The entrees all came out hot and the wait time was very reasonable. The curry sauce can also be mild so my son was able to enjoy it! I highly recommend the Katsu curry bento box, chicken katsu, and fish katsu. Made fresh and all the protein were tender.

Now I'm mad at myself for not coming sooner cuz apparently everyone knew except me. LOL! I ordered the organic chicken katsu curry at spice level 3 and it did not disappoint. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside and the curry was rich, flavorful and had a nice lil kick without being too spicy. The portion was pretty generous too. Customer service was great and the whole food hall was nice and clean. This is only my second time eating at Cheongdam Food Hall so I still have a bunch of the other food spots to explore. Curry Ya definitely made a great impression though and I'll be back! My only complaint is that I wish there were more seats available. The tables are set up to be shared which I don't mind at all but it was a lil annoying seeing people put their belongings on empty chairs they weren't even using so nobody else could sit next to them. Especially when other people are looking for somewhere to sit-- like come on, y'all we gotta share! Other than the seating situation, I really enjoyed my food and totally understand why everyone kept raving about Curry Ya. I should've listened sooner!

Japanese curry cravings? Say less…read more We came in past 11:40 AM on a Monday, and the moment we walked in, the ambiance was already giving "Welcome to Japan" vibes. The restaurant offers a variety of Katsu meals and Japanese curry, so naturally... we had to order TWO meals because apparently one person cannot be trusted around good food. We got the Hire Curry and Hire Katsu, and both were delicious! The breading on the hire was chef's kiss -- crispy, light, and perfectly done. But let me talk about that curry sauce. It was rich, flavorful, and seriously giving authentic Japanese curry vibes. I would honestly come back just for the curry sauce! The staff were super friendly, the restaurant was really clean, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a bonus because nobody wants their first adventure to be a parking-lot survival challenge. The lady was so quick to seat us, probably because we were among the first customers of the day. Monday morning VIP treatment! Overall, we absolutely enjoyed our meal and would 100% come back the next time we're in Vegas. Thank you for opening your doors and sharing your cooking with us! Definitely worth a visit if you're craving some good Japanese Katsu and curry!

I was a bit disappointed with how empty the restaurant was honestly. Our initial waitress was friendly and personable. She initially seated up and took our orders. But there must have been a shift change because a different waitress took over. We thought the first one had left, but eventually did see she was still present. * Pork Rosu Katsu & Soba Combo $25.99 - We got two orders of this and it was just okay. When you order the combo, you don't get the rice or soup. The Little Gal ate the soba and I ate the katsu. It was okay, but just okay. They do give you sesame seeds to grind yourself like other katsu places in town. The Little Guy ate his dish and was fine with it. I did notice that my dish was missing something compared to my son's. I pointed out the missing potato croquette and they had to get me a new one. * Wagyu Katsu (new item) - The Husband had initially planned on ordering the Menchi Katsu but they were offering this new item instead to replace it. He thought it was only okay. They don't do refills on the salad or anything unfortunately. It's really hard to get the servers' attention as they are behind the counter and it appears to be blocked. (Unless they can see us, but we can't see them. Either way, we can't see if anyone is available.). No one noticed that I kept turning around and waiting for assistance when we needed more sauce, the check, etc. This was super frustrating considering there was were only two parties dining the whole time we there. Overall, the whole experience was underwhelming. The food and service were only okay. We ended up going to another Japanese restaurant after for more bites and dessert, and just a better experience overall to close out our evening.
