Honestly the only thing I'm disappointed about is I only got one of the smore flavored mochi donuts. My kid saw that one when I opened the box and it was gone before I could blink. I did have the lemon cookie one myself and it was amazing. They are definitely a bit more dense and chewy than a normal donut but it's mochi so I expected that. They were all wonderful according to everyone who tried them. Service-10/10. I had already placed my order so I only had to pop in to pick it up. It was ready on time and the girl at the counter was polite and welcoming. Atmosphere-10/10. The location is in a small strip of shops down in St. John's and is easy enough to find. Parking is ample and clean. The interior is very cutie and what you would expect for any mochi type shop. The decor is adorable and they sell cute little kitch as well. Definitely on the list of places to go back. Matter fact, my son has asked me nonstop to have it again. So I'll definitely have to make my way that way soon.

The staff is friendly and answered questions I had. I will be honest and say I don't know if I would go out of my way to return, but if you are in the area, it is a good place for boba and a donut :)

The young girl that was working the register answered my many questions and was so patient with me. The store is quite small but that's ok, it's cute and i care more about food/service anyways. I ultimately settled on the honey grilled pork bahn mi and a crème brûlée coffee. The coffee didn't make it past 5 minutes, once you mix it around a bit, it is so incredibly decadent. Perfect treat. The bahn mi itself was delicious, I have a preference for softer bread but I know others love the bread they serve. Just beware it is a very crumbly and crunchy but fresh bread. Overall I I enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back for a nice lunch

You place your order on one side while the other has a counter with bar stools if you wanted to eat there. The Avenues was slow during my visit, but I'm glad I got to see one of crepes being prepped. From the menu, there is a wide offering and I look forward to getting one in the days ahead and then update this review. However, while searching for a different coffee kiosk I used to visit here on the second level of The Avenues, I discovered it was gone. So, in a sense, I was cornered to take my only option here. The barista is a veteran at this kiosk and said she's been there 11 years. I wondered if she was the owner, but I'll find that out next time. In looking at the menu, there is a fairly large variety of coffee offerings here. You pretty much can get it as plain as you want, or fully loaded! But what really made me happy was the coffee brand of choice by Le Crepes. LavAzza is awesome, so I instantly ordered a 16 oz white mocha latte. I asked for whipped cream and she gave me a near mountain! I forgot to tell her I was getting it to go. It was very kind of her to be so generous, so I look at it as a plus! The blend of the LavAzza coffee and white mocha in it really gave it a more authentic taste than I've experienced for quite a while. It was something that stood out to me where other coffee outlets didn't. It made the ride home much better and I look forward to visiting here again. Service is very good. There is a large menu of both sweeter type crepes and breakfast/sandwich type crepes. Much to choose from! On another note, I was really impressed with the cleanliness and organization of this kiosk. It's in a good spot in the mall, not far from a main entrance. It's been here 11 years, and appears to have built itself a good reputation among those who work here or customers visiting the mall. The white mocha was great! I'll get an update on the Le Crepes after my next visit! Recommend: VERY HIGH (the VERY is for the LavAzza coffee!)

Is this place kindive tucked away in the back of a parking lot that's still being constructed- yes - keep that in mind. You will be circling the lot to find a place if you try and visit this establishment at peak coffee hours or weekends. I put House of Coffee into Google Maps and it found it no problem. If you are using a gps on your phone or car of some sort - should be easy to find. The stunning indoor decor you've seen on social media is the exact same in person. I was happy to see that. I ordered an iced chai latte with salted caramel. It came out in good time despite how busy it was. I sat in the booth in the very back. Another major highlight about this place - the vast amount of natural light. If you want to work remotely out of home or office, love that this isn't a dark and grim coffee shop to get some work done. My salted caramel iced chai latte was good. I would order it again. I passed on the muffins and small croissants they had to offer just bc a sugary, low protein, empty carb type of breakfast isn't my jam at any place. They did look tempting as a snack though. My one reason for giving 4 out of 5 stars. Most every influencer who shared this place on social media was parading around both upstairs and down - as if upstairs is an option to enjoy (it's not) Mon - Fri during normal working hours, there are offices up there which means - no customers (obviously) so people can get their work done. Meaning - upstairs is only an option Sat and Sun (the most packed days this place will see) So the main factor that makes this place more unique to Jax than other coffee shops (the fact that it's 2 stories) is unavailable most of the time. I wish the House of Coffee would have made sure to tell creators to share specifics about that and make it known (maybe they did and the creators didn't listen) but that's ok. I enjoyed my time here, the staff were very polite and diligent, and I enjoyed what I ordered. The Harry Potter vibes when you walk in really sold me on it. Give it a try if you are in the area.
