Keep in mind that we hit this place up at a bad time. Both ovens decided to conk out at the same time, so they had a very limited menu, and were cooking what they could in an electric fry-pan...
We came up to the entrance, where a server greeted us, and said he would be back straight away with menus. He then proceeded to forget about us. 20 minutes later, I went up to the counter to round some up.
I ordered the 1/2 ham, avo & cheese on toast, which was served with a lettuce, tomato, and fennel salad. Perhaps fruit would have been more appropriate? I wasn't keen on the salad because a) it was breakfast, and b) it was sadly bland.
I had a blueberry smoothie as well, which was very milky, and not so much fruity. It really just tasted like blueberry-flavoured milk. Needs improvement.
My bf had eggs, bacon and sausage with toast. He seemed to enjoy it, and I snuck a little sausage which was nice with the lovely homemade tomato sauce.
Our friend's 3-year old girl adored the play-structure, and little play house.
We loved the seating in the courtyard, in the shade of the jacarandas.
This place serves fresh, local organic produce, which is a huge plus. We will definitely give it another go at another time! read more
