Ham off the bone salad wrap and a wagyu beef salad wrap later and we were on the road. It was an easy choice with a hand full of salad rolls remaining in the cafe's cabinet. There was more space for the cakes and tarts than rolls. They're also serving MAP coffee. The wraps were ample and full of flavour. Imagine a gourmet twist on the old-school salad roll. It was just the light lunch we needed.

This is yummo, very tasty, a smallish serve but just enough to satisfy. My favourite choice when we eat here. Partner had the Eggs Benny with ham. Always tasty, always fresh, a favourite of his. Lots of choices on the menu, something for everyone, kids included. Seating is mixed. High benches with stools, long tables with chairs, and a couple of small round tables. There is outdoor as well as indoor seating, the indoor area is surrounded by clear blinds that are pulled up to let in the fresh air in summer. They have "lounge type" seating around a low table that would be great for s group having coffee/and/or nibblies and a drink.

The pastry was yummy, but could have had more filling. The salad was fresh and light, and the homemade dressing was yum! The coffee was beautiful, and the art was well-done! Superior latte art! Getting all fancy and catching up with the times…read more Cafes like The Finch with their on-trend exposed brick walls, industrial-chic light shades and (so close it's local) roasted beans by Fonzie Abbott, are turning Toowoomba into a place to spend a while rather than keep on driving. I stopped in to The Finch recently and it served as a great location for a catch up over coffee with my sister. There was a steady flow of customers throughout our hour and a bit there ranging from couples, mums and solo laptop warriors all seeking a decent cup of joe (we can assume). Of course, I couldn't leave without ordering their lemongrass bánh mì. They claim to be Toowoomba's only spot to order up this Vietnamese sandwich and from my local experience, I'd say they're right. It was a great all round bánh mì - particularly if you're new to the concept - but for me I would have loved the addition of pâté to give it that extra flavour and oomph. There's ample sweets and standard cafe fare to please any number of appetites. Stop by and spend a while - it's certainly running for top spot next to Firefly for me.

The manager asked why waiting after coffees arrived, and staff confirmed waiting on a couple of Danishes - the lack of interest and care was astounding.
