The 32 minutes it took (they were not busy) to cook one piece of barra ($11) and one piece of snapper ($9) gave me plenty of time to notice the absolute filth and rubbish on the floors that left my shoes sticking to the floor, and the grimy kitchen walls that clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. When we finally received our order and returned to our car, we opened our order to find each piece was wrapped in separate butcher paper that was so loaded with oil that it was soggy to the point that the fish could not be picked up. Oil was leaking from the paper already. The fish was obviously frozen prior to cooking as it had gone a lovely depth of mushy with a vile sour tangy taste. After a few scoops with the fingers, as you couldn't pick it up properly, we gave up and bundled it up for the dogs. I should have known better that to even attempt to eat it as I am now still crook over 15 hours later. We will NEVER be back.

Thank goodness they had a little sign out advertising five dollar nugs and chips and five dollar calamari and chips!!! I upgraded to crumbed as opposed to beer battered, which brought me to seven dollars. The service was awesome, full of smiles. The food was cooked fresh for me and delivered in a big bag- my chips and calamari were in separate boxes, too, and they both filled up a big box each. Seven bucks for the lot!!! Can you say I'm stoked? It's great grub- talk about fluffy chips- and heaps of it, and the bag had their business card stapled to it too, so Ill be keeping that on hand for convenience. Can't wait to come back next time I'm here for more. Also: bowl of lollies at the table. They had strawberry and cherry, the only downside to my visit was trying to choose. (I took one of each. And only small cans of soft drink available at a place with salty food. No toilets, not really good for large groups as seating is limited and no child seats visible. I like this food but the actual business is not thinking of the patron as much as they could. Or possibly they have grown too large to quickly to think of the small things.

The food tasted really good but my partner thought the fish was a bit oily but when I was eating it tasted ok to me. It wasn't until the car ride home that my tummy started to disagree with all the oil I had eaten. Besides this factor it is differently worth the drive out. To have a nice meal with an amazing view. Another plus is that it has Eftpos. (Most small Fish and Chip place are still cash only) They had really good vaule for money. As our fish and chips was enough for two people.
