It proved difficult to find a photographer within my price range that had quality photos that I liked. Fidelio was perfect for us. This review is from the family photo perspective. Pros: - 2 photographers. Jessica does a lot of the official "smile now, kids, damnit" photos while her husband Lyle gets a lot of the candid moments that often go missed. What you get with this combination is an awesome set of photos you'll have on your mantel, and the photos you'll actually treasure that have some of the irreverent moments. - The photos. I'm not an extremely emotional person, but some of them brought tears to my eyes. We had three generations at our photo shoot, and some of the ones of my grandparents especially were just really touching. - Jessica and Lyle were great to work with. Professional but personable, and when we had ideas for shots they were totally willing to do them. They bring the artistry of professional photographers, but not the snobbery--if you have an idea they are definitely willing to run with it. Con - We had our photos done at a really busy time for Jessica and Lyle and had to wait a while (~ 2 1/2 weeks, which could be entirely normal, I'm not a big family photo connoisseur) for our photos. That said, they were awesome and entirely worth the wait.

We've received our wedding preview and we were completely blown away by the quality of the pictures they took. I've had several friends and family remark at the beauty and magazine quality of our photos. I would highly recommend Fidelio Photography and am so glad they were able to cover our wedding! The woman who runs the store is Diana and she is amazing. She has the most unique items in her store from all over Maine and beyond. Lots of antiques and neat stuff for almost any room in your house. Make sure to inquire about the letter press she owns. She showed me pictures of the Gutenberg letter press she uses to make the beautiful cards and prints. Her skill is unmatched and eye for detail is unmatched OH... she bakes all kinds of yummy treats. My personal favorite is the ginger cookies..and the bread. She makes the best tasting organic items you'll ever find. If you are having a party she also says she does some catering events. She also has rail bikes for rent! You'll get to pedal bikes that run along the rail road tracks and it's a blast..and a work out. Kip is a great guy who works there and loves to chat and will help ya with the bikes. It is such a great way to see Maine. She said she has a facebook page but She's working on a webpage. I live in Colorado and visiting Maine is wonderful. The woman running this place has wonderful taste, a light hand with the pricing, and a talent for letterpress printing: she makes all kind of clever cards, including page-markers for cookbooks (now why didn't I think of that?) Being closer to the water and really feeling the movement of the boat gave that authentic sailing experience. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of narration from the crew/captain. I was expected more of a guided tour with information about the harbor, wildlife, sailing, or Maine's history (since this is how it was marketed). Instead the tour was mostly silent apart from passengers talking amongst themselves. Adding in this commentary would make it feel more like a tour rather than just a boat ride.
