Derek L. came out today to look at our AC Unit, which has been struggling when the temperatures…read moregets over 95 degrees, but otherwise cools the house. We were looking for a diagnosis and an estimate for repair or replacement. Derek said we had an old unit and the compressor windings were broken. He agreed to send us an estimate. After Derek left, I noticed my thermostat was off, which meant the whole unit was off. My husband reached out to Derek and was told he had turned everything off before leaving. We weren't advised of this before Derek left, had not agreed to any work or set up a return date, and were left in the 100+ degree heat. The off/on switch is on the unit, which is on the roof. There was no offer to come turn the unit back on. Note the unit was working when temps are below 95 degrees. I would have liked to have had a choice in whether he was turning the entire unit off and leaving us with no AC. The estimate was $5000 to replace the compressor or $13,000 for a new unit. Needless to say I had to call someone else out to turn the unit back on. At that time, I was told the we ultimately needed a new unit, as we have an old unit and when the compressor gets too hot, it turns off. Makes sense. In looking at whole sale new units they run about $4000.

Tim from Inland Valley Heating and Air and his team were fantastic. He first tried to repair our…read moreold system which we thought was beyond repair but needed to know for sure. I was really pleased that he tried to fix it and showed us why it was beyond repair. We purchased a new system and got a very fair price. As part of the installation he and his team fixed a major error that the builder created when they put it in. Doing that fix will save us a lot in cooling costs and make our new system much more efficient. Tim's team came out a couple of times in order to remove the old system and install the new one. His guys were VERY clean and tidy at all times. They even put down plastic in the closet over our clothes so they didn't get dusty from the changeover. They cleaned up everything and even their appearance was clean and neat. The job they do is hard and it's hot, (in peoples attics) so it made me have even more respect for them that they took the time to be respectful of our house and also look professional. Tim took the time to explain things to me very patiently and answer several dumb questions of mine. I really appreciated that and in the process he helped me understand the whole HVAC system. As a result we are more educated about how to make the new system last and how to actually make it work for us and our budget. I can't recommend this company more highly. Honestly, integrity and value!! Thank you, Tim and team!

I don't think there is enough words to express how impressed I was with not only their knowledge but everything in general. Everyone of the guys was friendly, capable, efficient and helpful. I could not get their mobile link on even after being sent 15 codes and he called Generac and got the app installed. They even replaced my gravel where they had to dig up. I will not hesitate to recommend this company in the future to anyone. You have to figure that a company that has been in business for 77 years is doing something right. Since I lived in the mountains we are subject to power outages a lot so this is a great investment and relieves a lot of anxiety worrying about how long the power will be out, will my food in the refrigerator last, etc.
