After I posted a negative review, I received a call that they could start our job next Monday. I don't believe anything they say and I have no faith in their ability to deliver, so I'll get another contractor. I would love to have had the work done in October as originally planned.

My mobile home was in need of roof repairs -- the vents above the kitchen and bathroom, and the…read moreawning flashing over one window (where rainwater pours down the side of the home instead of over the awning and into the gutter). Daniel repaired the vents with a heavy-duty sealant/cement. He thoroughly scraped off the old, flaking sealant. He also installed an L-shaped, roof-to-wall flashing over the existing awning flashing -- the entire length of the home on one side. That eave area is now completely covered and I think it would be impossible for it to leak outside or inside the home -- so long as it stays in place. Daniel installed it with a special flashing tape and then covered it with sealant. Daniel has a strong "work ethic," a rarity nowadays, and I am thankful that he has opened a business in Yuma. He even came by one day, just to check the roof and make sure everything had dried properly. I wish him much success and happiness.

As it happened, they had a cancellation on the afternoon that I called, and they came out that afternoon. It was a pleasure to deal with Preston and Jorge. They did beautiful work. Hannah, the receptionist, was also efficient and very courteous. They re-plumbed everything for the washing machine, and also took care of a problem with the shower and two hoses at the water heater. Much has been said about the high prices of Area Plumbing. For the type of work that was done, the amount of time it took, and the materials, I did not regard the price as too high. However, they looked at some other plumbing in my home, told me the price to make repairs, and it seemed high. The other work is not urgent, and I will do some price comparisons before making a decision. They charge a $98.00 evaluation fee, which is non-refundable and which will not be included into your total amount. This is a separate charge. Area Plumbing gained my trust, and so I lean toward using them again.

The teams he works with and brings in for each phase were also great at their trades and very professional. Everything was done exceptionally well and to very high standards. We had ~1300 SQ FT of Concrete; New Aluminum Metal Roof with 1.75" Rigid Foam Insulation, on both our Manufactured Home and the roofs of our Carport and Patio Room too; Patio Room was enclosed with Solar Screening, ceiling fans added, and a 9' wide Roller Screen Panel; Carport was extended in length, and the West side was Solar Screened. (Both Carport and Patio Room were basically rebuilt.) I'll note that this was in the hot months of 2024. And so far we're seeing a 20-30% reduction of AC run time, per the Smart Thermostat, due to the roof and solar screening. I, we, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Westerner. Decades of experience was evident. Value? Many times in life, the rock bottom price for an item or project - turns out not to be a good investment. We feel we made a solid investment in our Foothills home, and that over the decades ahead, the higher quality of materials and cost of the skillset to do the job right - will pay dividends via smiles of usage.
