In August, we received and accepted a quote for new countertops and some floor replacement. Someone came out and measured for the countertops and floor. Shortly after that we were told the job would be done "before the end of October", then it change to "before Thanksgiving", then to "before Christmas". After I posted a negative review, I received a call that they could start our job next Monday. I don't believe anything they say and I have no faith in their ability to deliver, so I'll get another contractor. I would love to have had the work done in October as originally planned. read more

We recently had them come out because we had no hot water. The plumber that came out took a look at it saw the water leak detector, did a quick Google search then have up on that. Then he tried to relight the pilot light and failed then said we needed a new water heater. We agreed and he came back that afternoon and installed the new one. When I got home from work we did not have hot water. I called the next day (Saturday) and they sent out the on call plumber. Between me and him we determined it was the leak detector that had a bad sensor. I temporarily removed the sensor and we had hot water. Total cost of the replacement sensor was $20 on Amazon. We had to pay $1600 for the new water heater with install. Most likely we did not need a new water heater. I am not a happy (now former) customer. read more

Unfortunately, I would like to give them a favorable review, Pablo the plumber who came out to our house was courteous and professional. What started out as a simple toilet clog turned into something more serious. When he left our house last week (Thu or Fri) he was going to give me an estimate on the fix. A week later no estimate, today I called asking if they just didn't want to do the job since I hadn't heard back from them, the women who answered the phone said she wasn't aware of me needing an estimate and was going to contact Pablo then get back to me soon. I called around 8:30 am today and as of this review (it is 12:30pm) I haven't heard a peep. I was charged $150.00 to come out to my house, which is fair for the amount of time Pablo spent trouble shooting, but I don't feel like I should have to beg them to work for me. Called company to have a garage utility sink installed. I was subsequently introduced with Macario "Mac" who responded to my residence with a great attitude, awesome work ethic, very professional, clean and thorough. Mac did a meticulous job, he explained what his plan was for my install, he performed the work then showed me pictures of the clean he work he performed. He inspected all water lines for leaks ensuring there were none. He cleaned up after himself AND some! Definitely an above and beyond kind of guy! I will definitely call PHD again in the future and specifically Mac the man, the legend! Highly, highly recommend PHD and Mac for sure!! read more

PHD was contracted to put in the initial plumbing work for a track home in Park West...which should have included putting a drain pipe into a drain (really, I guess this needs to be better defined in plumbing 101). They "overlooked" this and it resulted in our home flooding within 8 days of moving in. A competing plumbing company (Area Plumbing) showed the business ethics and responsible practices most would expect from a company that was competently managed and actually concerned about their customers and their own reputation. Area plumbing came in and installed the up to code fixtures for the drain line and made things right, as well as researched other new builds in various stages of build to document all of those homes had appropriate drain fixtures installed and the pipes were routed correctly. PHD claims no responsibility for this issue because the water softener was installed by a separate licensed contractor, that's understood, but the fact that every other home in the Park West community had that drain installed through an appropriate fixture leading into the drain shows that they overlooked this drain on our home. I would have zero issues if the owner instead claimed responsibility, saying they would make it right but instead they put the blame on any and everyone they could without claiming any responsibility forcing an insurance claim on a brand new house raising premiums and everything else that goes along with it. Not to mention, the flooring throughout the entire house had to be replaced...convenient that PHD also does damage repair and renovations right? Not when their estimate was over $5,000 more than three other companies installing tile instead of the cheap laminate PHD was giving. What a joke. Only focused on the bottom line and looking for fast, cheap and sub-standard work. Avoid at all costs. It may cost a little more with another company but you'll save in the long run. Not interested in any response from this company or Mike the "owner"...full of themselves and completely incompetent. read more

We did not have as good of luck with PHD as the other reviewer. They installed a new sink in our 5th wheel RV. It was an insurance claim and they claimed they did a lot of insurance claims. It took them forever to get the settlement - we had to intercede on their behalf - come to find out they never submitted the invoice for payment and couldn't understand why they had not gotten paid. That was the least of the problems - we got 6 days out of Yuma and all the connections under the sink let go - they had cut all the PVC sections too short and had many pieces when one would have done fine if cut correctly. We had a mess and it cost us almost $400 to get it fixed on the road. They had also told us they did a lot of work in RV's. Mike Miller (the owner) would not give us any satisfaction even though the parts and labor were guaranteed for one year. Since we no longer were in Yuma we were out of luck. Not good customer service, look elsewhere if you want a reputable firm. read more
