He took my ideas for the back and ran with it, flagstone seating area, paver patio for a pergola, turf to break it up, different color rock sections for planters and main yard, hosing for planters. In the front, I'm glad I gave this guy full run, beautiful walkway, turf for a splash of green, plants all set up, great design all around! All said and done, two weeks of work for him and his crew. I tried to do my yards with myself and family at first, and it was a mess, home depot rental equipment just doesn't get the job done super well (or well meaning, but inexperienced people operating it). Armando came in, looked at the train wreck that were my yards, saw my ideas, pitched how he'd do it, from taking the dirt down another few inches, laying weed block paper, rock tonnage estimates, etc. I was sold by the fact that he was honest from the get go and clearly knew the right way to do things. I'd say his prices are fair and appropriate and even a steal, given he did all this work in a Yuma July, flexed around my ideas and input, proved he was reliable and trustworthy. Bill responded within 30 minutes of me reaching out and had his foreman, Fred, come out that same evening. After taking some simple measurements and discussing the vision we had, we received our estimate that same evening. That same evening, we had a second contractor come out who came in $400 more and did not include any planting. Bill and Fred agreed not only to lay rock but also plant succulents for $400 less than the other contractor. Fred was very communicative throughout the entire experience. On Friday he texted throughout the day, sending pictures of the rock and succulents to make sure we absolutely loved what was being installed. I can't say enough about how reassuring Bill's team was throughout the process. We received our estimate on Thursday, they started Saturday morning, and the project was completed by Saturday evening. Fred even went above and beyond by retuning the irrigation system to suit the new vegetation. Overall, So Cal Artificial Turf went above and beyond to bring our vision to life.
