I told the lady when I got there about the spot, and she sorta nodded her head. I think the reviews are right, I don't think their english is good. But if that's the case, that's totally fine, but make sure instructions are clear before you accept a job from a customer! The jacket came back with the same oil spot. So I put a simple spot treater and washed it myself, and it came right out. When I went back to the store, they said the manager didn't work there and to call another number. There is another cleaner right next door, and they are amazing! They do all my cleaning and alterations now - always a perfect job and friendly service E 88 Cleaners is who I'd highly recommend.

Jian's is pretty busy on Sundays but you still always manage to find a machine. Prices here are the cheapest after surveying the area. It's a no frills laundromat and the machines work well. THINK TWICE BEFORE DRY CLEANING HERE…read more I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share this experience. I took this dress to Todd Layne Cleaners on E. 77th Street for the first time. This dress had been professionally dry cleaned several times in the past with no problems. When I picked it up, the color had been dramatically faded and the dress was clearly damaged. After I contacted the cleaner, it took Todd Layne two days to respond. His only explanation was that there must have been an issue with the dress manufacturer and that I should contact them directly. There was no acknowledgment of responsibility, no apology, and no attempt to resolve the situation. I'm posting before-and-after photos so you can see the difference for yourself. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Todd Layne Cleaners. If you have garments that are valuable or sentimental, you may want to think carefully before entrusting them to this cleaner.

But have never ever had problems with other dry cleaners. EVER. The first time I used Todd Layne was to dry clean the most expensive dress I ever owned. It was 20 years old and I loved its classy black dress look. Took it home, put it in the closet and because I didn't wear it often never looked at it. A year later, took it out for a wedding, packed it still in their plastic bag. Got to the wedding and it wasn't my dress. It was a cheap black dress, not even my size but because it had been so long I felt I couldn't complain. Figured it was a one time issue. WRONG! In 2022 brought in a beautiful, pricey Saks Fifth Avenue blouse (about 10 years old) and a new white shirt. They lost both though insisted they delivered them. There was no record at my very efficient building's concierge. I even checked neighboring buildings. Nothing. I submitted a form for some kind of compensation. As an aside they NEVER apologized. Two years later, though lots of promises to send the check they NEVER delivered the check just like they never delivered my clothes. So if you value your items, and want them returned, go elsewhere.

The clothes were returned in a plastic bag liner inside my hamper so the clothes stayed clean and the bag was very compact/easy to carry. There were no missing clothes and no damage. My clothes smelled very good and were grouped so all similar clothes were together and socks were paired. It ended up saving me so much time with putting away laundry because everything was so organized. In total, I probably spent less than 10 min on laundry between dropping and pick up the clothes myself and putting the clothes away. The price is also very worth it as well as the free pickup/delivery (~20lb of laundry was $23). Will definitely be going back!

The workers did not even have the decency to reimburse me for the jacket nor a fraction of the lost shirts. They simply replied to me if I'm sure it's not home and to check again triple times. They kept repeating themselves. They're japanese and couldn't speak well in english. The ethical way to handle business is by reimbursing the customer if they made a huge error. It's unprofessional for the owner to aggressively yell or blame the customer. Even the neighbors heard the altercation, one of them told me this has happened before. The owner is simply nasty and doesn't care. I commend you all to get your service done elsewhere. You may have gotten lucky once or more but one day this can happen to you too!!

The location is perfect for me as I live on this block and have to pass here literally every day for the subway. I normally drop my laundry off in the morning, and most times I can pick it up that same night. She is open until 7pm, so if I can't get there in time, I'll either pick it up in the AM or a few days later. Pretty sure she opens at 730am. They are closed on Sundays. She is very sweet and remembers you every time and knows which bag is yours. You just bring your laundry in whatever kind of bag you like. I have a big laundry sack I bring it in, my roommate also goes here and she brings it in one of those collapsible hampers. They fold it up for you very nice and square and wrap it in a plastic wrap and put back in your bag. I think it is 90 cents/pound and a 10 pound minimum - if less than 10 pounds, it may be a $1. 10 pounds sounds like a lot but for me it is typically a week and half's worth of laundry including a towel or two. One thing to note is they are cash only unless it is more than $15. She really is the sweetest, one time I had no cash and her CC machine was broken so she let me take my laundry and come back the next day and pay. She has also let me put $15 worth on my CC even if my order was cheaper than that, and then applied a credit for the next time. They also have dry cleaning here. But in the past I have never needed it. But since I recently started a new job where I have to dress more professional, I will definitely be trying that out.
