I was in the shop getting financed for 5 hours should have known to back away then. But with 4 kids I needed a car and thought since I knew these people they would screw me over. I had a 90 warranty sticker on my truck and wasn't told nothing about it. I should have asked. The rust spots were sprayed with spray pain because as soon as it rained like 2 days after I noticed them. On June 6th I texted them letting them know that I smelt oil and my boyfriend and his friend looked under it and said I needed new cover gaskets. I got the response "Joe is out of office I'll let him know" told them I could drop it off anytime I just needed a rental. I was told they didn't provide a rental car. But with me starting a new job and going to school I was limited and needed a vehicle. They are only open till 4pm Monday through Friday so no way I could take it to them after I got out. On June 25th I asked if I could drop the truck off because I found a ride out there. And mind you this was them looking at the oil smell and to look at my transmission. And was told no mechanic would be in. On June 30th I dropped the truck off I got a call stating that everything looked good and those trucks are known for shifting weird. My vehicle shouldn't shift hard all the time and that with shift hard when I was coming to a stop. I've brought up multiple times also that my truck shakes going down the highway. They looked at that and said oh it needs balanced. But couldn't balance them for me while it was there I had to make another another appointment. Which I just went to Costco to have it done. They won't do nothing about what they did to me. They have blocked me on everything they can. Even tho I've been telling them I've had this issue. Will never recommend this place come on Joe Rose you got my bank information on file. Do something.. or fix what was suppose to be fixed when you got said vehicle. ‍

I purchased a vehicle from Midland Ford Lincoln a few months ago, and while I'm satisfied with the…read morecar itself, the sales and customer service experience was absolutely unacceptable. This dealership demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and customer care from start to finish. The Sales Experience: We were pressured to make quick decisions due to the vehicle's "popularity," yet experienced constant delays on the dealership's end; waiting for cleaning, scratch repairs, and a sensor replacement (delayed further because the wrong part was ordered). When it came time for us to finalize the purchase, suddenly the urgency was all on us. We were told there would be no room for price negotiation because the dealership had to cover the sensor repair out of pocket, despite our sales representative initially assuring us he would work with us on pricing. Lack of Transparency: The finance process was particularly frustrating. I had multiple conversations with the finance team about our budget and rates, but during the final signing I was blindsided with optional insurance products that were never previously disclosed. The excuse? "There was no great way to show you this information without you being here." This is simply untrue in today's digital world. Information could have easily been shared via email or phone in advance, rather than putting me in a high-pressure situation at the signing table. No Vehicle Orientation: To top it off, we received absolutely no vehicle walkthrough or feature orientation. We were simply handed the keys and left to figure everything out ourselves, a final insult after an already disappointing experience. The Worst Part...Complete Communication Failure: What truly sets this experience apart is the dealership's total failure to respond to my concerns. Days after the purchase, I emailed a formal complaint through their website contact form. A week later, I submitted the same information through a customer survey. Two weeks after that, I responded to a follow-up survey specifically stating I had received no response to my complaint. A full month later, I finally received a text from someone wanting to follow up, asking me to message back if I still wanted to discuss the issues. I have now texted back twice with no response. This company has zero communication skills and lacks any real customer focus. The pattern is clear: they're only interested in closing the sale, not in building relationships or addressing concerns. "This is how it's always done" was the response to my concerns during the purchase; apparently ignoring customer complaints afterward is also "how it's always done." I cannot and will not recommend Midland Ford Lincoln to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere, where customer service and accountability actually matter.

Don is the reason people despise car salesman. Bought a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition from him…read moreand my first look and test drive was in a heavy rain. After taking delivery I noticed multiple paint bubbles in many places. These were not visible because of the rain. Don never once mentioned them. I called several body shops and found out that was very common with that year because Jeep used aluminum for the doors. The cost to replace the doors was $6,000. Don shuddered at that and had "his people" look at it. They relayed they could re-spray the affected areas but eventually the bubbles would return. This problem became irrelevant because the Jeep broke down twice in two weeks. As in, dead. As in, having it towed to the garage he uses in Bridgeport. Cutting to the end of this awful experience, he ended up taking back the 2018 (which had major engine problems and was in the shop for weeks) and finding me a 2021 Wrangler Willys edition. He said it had 20,000 miles on it. When I arrived to look at it had 27,000 miles on it. It also had mud terrain tires on it which were extremely loud. I had a set of 20 inch wheels and tires I had intended on putting on in the summer, but asked if he'd have them swapped out. His response was, "why don't you just let me put leather in it (interior) and keep the wheels and tires that are on it?" 1. The 20 inch wheel and tire set were far more expensive than the leather seat covers he offered. 2. Not swapping out the tires totally defeats the purpose of why I wanted to change them. The point being is that the 20's looked extra sharp on the Sahara edition and he was trying desperately to keep them to build value on what would be a hard sell in the future. That is Don in a nutshell. Always looking to get over, take advantage, do whatever he can to spend as little as possible to fix the problem while trying to get as much money out of you as he can. Further proof: During the three week period it took to fix the situation I was given three loaner vehicles. All of them were filthy, with the last one smelling so bad I had to roll the windows down on the way home and get an air freshener in order to drive it. It took ten days to find the 2021 Wrangler and would have taken more had I not called him repeatedly to ask what was going on. For this he got angry and told me "he was working on it." Translation: He needs to find another one that is more expensive to get more money out of the deal. Which is exactly what he did. The 2021 he sold me was financed at $48,500. It wasn't until later that I realized that he had ME pay the taxes on BOTH vehicles. Keep in mind this was after I threatened to sue because it was obvious it was taking so long to find the next Jeep, to which he became enraged and blamed me for not being patient enough (?!) and told me the name of his attorney. So after questioning the high price of a three year old Jeep, he responded with "nothing holds its value more than a Jeep Wrangler" and "come back in a couple years and we'll find you something else." Then he closed his doors PERMANENTLY. Knowing the more miles I put on the 2021 the more it depreciated I reluctantly traded it in to a dealership and was ten grand upside down leaving me with the highest payment I've had and will ever have in my life. I will admit that I had bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Don ten years prior and after two months the entire transmission failed. He covered the cost of replacement, and that's what brought me back. He got over on me, I'll admit that. High pressure, shady vehicles, terrible response to the problems HE caused and as others have mentioned in their revues his flying into a rage when questioned or forced to work on YOUR timetable. Don is a large man and thinks he can bully and intimidate people and when that doesn't work he plays the victim while doing the absolute minimum to fix the problem. He is the definition of "shady car salesman" and I'm not surprised to see so many similar reviews. But I also believe in karma, and boy, when it comes back to him all bad things will be justified.
