*Trail Review* There are quite a few MTB trails, for being…read morelocated in the middle of a town. They are mostly "natural" trails, with a few man made features scattered throughout. There are several marked trails spanning many miles. I take my 7yo and their bmx bike, on the most basic trails. I would say the most difficult trails and features would challenge an intermediate rider. The trails are pretty clean. If I had to provide 1 critique, I would recommend better trail marking. I can't tell you how many times I've been scolded by some dentist on a $10,000 MTB, for inadvertently riding the wrong way on their trail. But due to the trails constantly growing and changing, it's bound to happen. GREAT TRAILS, GIVE THEM A TRY.

I'm extremely frustrated that we are being charged a $15 gate fee to attend a 2D tournament, yet…read morethere are no working water fountains available for players to refill their water bottles and stay hydrated. I took photos of both fountains--one is completely inoperable, and the other is clogged and in absolutely disgusting condition. This is unacceptable, especially at a youth baseball tournament where player hydration should be a basic priority. If families are being charged a $15 gate fee, the least we should expect is clean, functioning facilities for our players. I hope this issue is addressed immediately.

I didn't get too close to take pictures today because it was in use by two moms and their kids. Creepy single dude taking pictures, not a great look. There are several picnic tables scattered around and some charcoal grills, though they're mostly under the trees which will make for some interesting smoke situations. The best feature here is the walking trail that goes quite a distance and links up all the way across 35W to the top of the country club. Very, very cool. What makes this park playground stand out among others in the surrounding area is the massive shade…read morestructure that fully covers the playground. I have seen shade canopies at other parks in North Richland Hills, but they seem to be the only city nearby to get this right. I mention the shade issue in my review of almost every single playground because it continues to baffle me. This is Texas. WHY IS SHADE NOT A TOP PRIORITY IN PLAYGROUND DESIGN? In any case, this canopy is great, and allows for play even on afternoons with high temps (bring water!). Unfortunately, the spectator benches are just outside the periphery of the shade, so unless the sun is in just the right spot, parents are either sitting in the sun or sitting on the ground. The structure itself is average. My kids tell me the best part are the two long slides that come off of a three story platform. Apparently they are very dark inside and this makes sliding down them extra fun. Beyond that, there's nothing remarkable about the play structure. Bark flooring, separate toddler structure, no swings. Richfield Park is a three star community park that earns an extra star for the shade.

Group lessons are an hour long, twice a week for four weeks, and very reasonably priced. I am in my fourth series and always look forward to group lessons. The tennis instructors are extremely personal and create relationships with all their students. To supplement my group lessons I also use their ball machine, an inexpensive private lesson for beginners like me. They also cater to the more advanced player by offering tournament and league play, as well as group lessons. If you are looking for a way to meet new people or if you are looking to get serious about tennis, this is the place!
