In town for FFW at GSU and saw rooftop patio looked empty so we swung on in. Not a ton of parking unless you park in lot adjacent to them. However, lots of seating options! Outdoor covered seating, rooftop covered seating and indoor. It was pretty packed down below but we grabbed 2 rooftop bar seats up top. From there, everything was perfect. Honestly, this place was the best I've eaten at EVER in the 'Boro. 5 stars on atmosphere, food, view and service. We opted for brunch menu but did the pretzel appetizer with beer cheese. The beer cheese was thicker than normal but good. I did the French toast burger with fried okra. Daaayum, tasted like a fluffy McGriddle but much larger! I could barely finish it. GET THE LEE'S SAUCE FOR DIPPING! It's like the Zax sauce but with more tang and kick. We accompanied our meal with a pitcher of electric lemonade (a Statesboro staple, going back to the days of Wild Wings & Dick's Dawg House). The entire experience was like "The Run" by AP (no, not the runs ).

Definitely probably one of the better restaurants in the area though. The Diet Coke was really good. The fried okra was not. Well priced for the food. The restaurant lives up to its name as there are a lot of gnats. Once the staff turned the fans on it was not as bad. My chicken parm sandwich was good, but probably wouldn't order it again and would stick with more classic options. Good casual place in the area though that does the trick for a good price.

Anna gave us some brief detail about the menu such as what's in Corn Maque Choux and made a suggestion about which cocktail was for dessert. Another big plus (especially here in the Boro) is the manager visited every table. Big points for all three minus the one that was supposed to be our waitress. Ambiance/Decor: It's a diner so it's a bit loud. But it was comfortable, this is Statesboro and I was still in my gym clothes so it was enjoyable. Cute bar. But I do wish for more noise softening. Food n drink: Nice cocktail list and robust for a small place. Grasshopper cocktail was good and perfect for after dinner cocktail. Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer was very good. Pasta Jambalaya was very good. I wasn't a fan of Fish Platter that I requested to be blackened. It was way too blackened in my opinion. The sides seemed over processed but I ate most of it.

The food is always so good, with my favorite being the massaman curry and basil fried rice. The drinks are bomb too! Food was hot and fresh at pickup. That said, the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew weren't quite what I expected. They actually tasted pretty similar to each other -- mine (Pad Thai) leaned more peanut-forward and tamarind-heavy, his (Pad See Ew) was sweeter with more fish sauce. I'm used to a more orange-hued Pad Thai, but this version was darker, sweeter, and nuttier than I typically like. I did order it hot and gluten free -- appreciated that GF is an option on most dishes, or clearly labeled -- and there was some spice to it, though I could've handled more heat. The Pad See Ew was also very pale compared to the darker, soy-based sauce I'm used to at other spots. Mango sticky rice was the best part of the meal, though I prefer it with a thick coconut cream sauce on top so the rice isn't as dry -- the mango itself was great. Overall, it's fine if you just want to scratch a Thai food itch, but I've had better elsewhere and probably wouldn't go out of my way to order again.
